From the Headmistress’ Desk:

1st October, 2012

Dear parents, I would like to welcome everyone back to the start of a new academic year. It’s been absolute delight to experience such a positive atmosphere throughout our school premises. Let me take the opportunity to introduce myself. I am Mrs. Shahida Saleem and I have taken over as the Headmistress. It gives me great pleasure to be a part of such a professional and enthusiastic team. I have already been impressed with the quality of teaching and learning, the motivation of the staff and most importantly, the delightful children you have placed in our care. My approach is an open one, I believe in caring for the children’s needs using my acquired skills for a successful development for the years ahead. I would also like to welcome on board the new School Coordinator Ms. Amna Salman Butt who carries a vast experience of primary school teaching. A great deal of time was spent during summer holidays in planning new school structures and initiatives. Seeing these now in action makes me realize that every minute spent planning has been so worthwhile. We have a very busy activity/academic calendar ahead and we look forward to creating opportunities to your children to excel in all areas of the curriculum and extra curricular programmes. The orientation sessions for all three levels shall be held in the first week of October for which you have been informed via a circular. I look forward to meeting you all and becoming better acquainted in the future. Please feel comfortable to contact me in case of any concern/question or simply if you want to highlight a point of information.

New Developments: 

The biggest development is the addition of eight sections of K.G.

The new admin block built next to the gate has made an easy access for parents and visitors without student distraction.

The library has been renovated and updated. We believe that the library should be a warm and welcoming environment and one where children are encouraged to relax and enjoy their book choices. Children are welcome to borrow one book per week. The most important thing we ask for is that children return their books each week, so that other children may also enjoy them. In order to encourage discipline and inculcate sense of responsibility, a new book will not be issued unless the previous one has been returned. Unfortunately, on the rare occasion that the library book is lost or damaged, a replacement copy or the cost of the same will be requested.

New student ID Cards have been made, do remember to please show them to the gatekeeper at dismissal time.

Upcoming Events: K.G Handwriting Competition October, 2012 K.G Poetry Competition November, 2012 K.G Color Day December, 2012 The dates shall be intimated later.

On Profession day, we encourage parents belonging to various fields of occupation to step forward and dress up in their uniforms like doctors, dentists, army officers and police officers. This will provide the children with an exciting opportunity to interview them to gain an awareness of how these professions are important in our daily life.

On behalf of us all at BKI F-7/4 – II, thank you for your continued support and we look forward to an eventful academic year. Regards, Mrs. Shahida Saleem HM BKI F-7/4 - II BKI F-7/4 – II Press
