This year, the matric classes migrated to the Jamrud campus, while the new Cambridge lot housed at the FC Campus. The girls’ Branch welcomed its new batch. The proposed shuffle was met with initial apprehensions but in time, all settled in well. The First semester was a busy mix of academics and recreation.

From traditional methods of learning to a blend of innovation, the term unfolded events and activities. The students received various accolades; sports to writing competitions, the student body was active on all fronts. Eleventh graders at the Eid Milan

A Tribute to the Teachers. October 5th , 2012, A little innovation can go a long way especially because we trade it for the mundane. The Girls’ Branch continued its tradition of blending learning with a little recreation. The students of Students all set to take up the teachers’ role for the day.
11 C took up the roles of their teachers for a few hours and presented the respective teacher with a written ovation in the morning assembly. Ahlum Arshad of 11C dedicated a poem to her teachers and recited her
thoughts as a lead -in to the engagements of the day. The students and teachers interacted and the day ended on a happy note.

Offices Installed
The newly appointed office bearers of the Students’ Council.
October 12, 2012, the offices of the student council were installed officially. The audience comprised of proud parents and students along with the teaching Staff. Distinctions were awarded to the students who had achieved success throughout the current academic session. Some teachers were awarded
too. Parents came up to the stage to share their pride with the audience. The afternoon ended on light refreshments and beaming smiles of parents and students alike.
The topic forums were: 1. Glamour; the new medicine? 2. Work is something we do so that one day we don’t have to.

A-levels Debating Session The Alevels Debaters came together on a joined forum to debate the significance of peers as a trigger in smoking. The BGP candidate, Hijab Amjad, qualified as the runner- up.
A la Sports
The athletes of the branch participated in the
Intra-regional Athletics Competition. The players returned with four medals. Mashal Ahmed, (IV C) gold and silver medals in Discus & shot– put. Hafsa (VI) a silver medal in 400 ms and Anusheh Mahmood (VII) a bronze medal in 200ms.
A Dignified Presentation October 17 , 2012, The students of the campus put together a show of solidarity, as they came forward one by one and debated the importance of Dignity Day. Speeches, definitions, poems
and dialogues were enacted and the students performed a march around the school premises to glorify the importance of Global Dignity.

The Green Revolution The Eco– adventure, was another success story. The ECO-recruits participated in the miscellaneous activities. Camping was a highlighting feature of the day.

The New Term

Peshawar, Friday, August 31st , 2012. The Girls’ Branch associated with the new set of parents, with an Open Day.The day consisted of orientation on the curriculum taught at BSS. The parents’ questions were answered by the teachers. The advent of the new academic session at the
FC-BGP and Jamrud Campus administrations has initiated a consortium within the system; while Jamrud campus will cater to the tutelage of the matriculation, the FCCampus will be looking after the Cambridge lot. The split was initiated to doctor the student population appropriately and efficiently.
