Here we go again...

The sand continues to trickle in the hour glass and time goes on. Already through the middle of the term the activities persist to demand efforts from all of us. The student temperament has also tuned towards seriousness as the term continues. The feedback from the October and November tests has forced them to pull up their socks.

By the time you read this letter you would have received the result of the mid-term and hopefully all the hard work would have paid off in the form of a satisfactory result.

We take this opportunity to wish you a prosperous new year.

Note from the Principal’s desk Dear Parents, We are at the end of the first term!

Mid year exams are over, and now the children have a little break to enjoy the wonderful weather.

The school had its Prize Distribution Ceremony for 2010-2011. I hope you all enjoyed sharing the achievements and the success of your children.

There is a wind of change blowing our way, may Pakistan experience the change we are all wanting and waiting for. It has been a hard life sans electricity sans gas!

I wish all of you a very happy and peaceful New Year.

The ‘Pervaiz brothers’ make us proud again.

Two of the best players from our school Asad Pervaiz and Junaid Pervaiz, were selected for the Inter regional Cricket tournament held in Karachi scheduled on 17th and the 18th of November 2011.Both of them made us proud by showing outstanding performance.

News and Events The Intra Regional Atheletics In November 2011, our athletes took part in the intra Regional Athletics Competition and set the ground on fire.

Congratulations Junaid Pervaiz 11CA for gold medal in triple jump and silver medal in long jump.

Ahmed Karim for silver in 800m race and bronze in 500m race.

Staff development To further polish the teaching skills three of our teaching faculty Mr.Bilal Khan, Ms.Riffat Fatima and Ms. Iffat Maqbool are taking ‘The foundation Course’ tutored by Miss Tabinda Mazhar at BDC.

Quaid-e-Azam Inter-School Bilingual Declamation Contest On 16th November,2011 Garden Town Campus invited us to take part in the declamation contest. Rayyan Sameer XI-CA and Waleed Bin Haroon X-CA tried their luck and added loads of self-confidence by facing the audience.

Intra regional Football Tournament On 15th November,2011 our school attended the first ever Intra-region Football Tournament arranged by Canal Side Campus at Model Town Football ground.

We had a BYE so we qualified for the quarter finals.

We gave a tough competition to BDC but they got lucky in the last two minutes. Our team has shown great effort and are working their hearts out for winning the next tournament.

Another feather in the hat The Music Competition On 24thNovember 2011 our school participated in the first Inter-School Music Competition hosted by the Canal Side Boys Campus. Tayyab Asif of XM made us proud by winning the third position in the classical category.

Loads of fun Eid Celebrations.

On 25th of November 2011 was the day when everybody at school was in full swing and mood to celebrate and share the happiness of Eid. The festive event brought colour to school, being a boys campus , the hairstyles and trendy clothes enlightened us with the latest trends in men’s fashion. Another notable thing was the appetite of the young men. Ms. Nasreen’s Tikka was sold out by ten o’ clock. Art teacher with students worked enthusiastically to prepare the beautiful back drop for the party. The event was well planned, disciplined and well managed by the school council under the supervision of both the SM’s i.e. Mrs. Arifa and Ms.Sabahat.

The poet hunt The English teachers organized a poetry competition in the month of December. Here is one of the teacher’s favorites:

An average student An average student comes to school for studies Instead he hangs around his buddies He wastes his time and likes to dance And he then actually expects to get a chance They bunk all their classes for a laugh And make life difficult for the staff They think being cool is about bad

But they don’t realize they make their parents sad School isn’t so boring even though your friends say it so Because if you don’t have an education you have no where to go

The most interesting and exciting stall was “Hit the bully”, it caught an immediate attention of the students and even the teachers also. This stall made a fortune regarding profit.

The gaming zone was major attraction for the students, as nowadays it the era of PSP, PS3, PS2, and X-BOX. Class XI-C-A made a great set up for this gaming zone.

Children really enjoyed it.

Students really enjoyed the musical band of our school.

They sung cultural songs; all of them at a very young age performed professionally and were really good at playing their musical instruments.

The dance numbers set everyone to a rhythmic beat.

Prize Distribution Ceremony for 2010-11 The ceremony took place on 23rd December 2011. The high achievers with their parents enjoyed the moments of pride and honor receiving trophies and shields for outstanding and excellent performance. Mrs. Rukhsana David, Principal Kennard college, graced the occasion by being the chief guest. She encouraged the students with her words of wisdom. The efforts of the students ,teachers ,senior mistresses and the junior staff were appreciated by the Principal in her address.
