During the summer break, the entire school building was renovated and whitewashed. Three new rooms have been added to cater to the increasing number of students and sections. The old furniture has been replaced by new tables and chairs for the comfort of our students.


The Handwriting Competition: To promote the of importance neat and legible handwriting and correct letter formation, both in Urdu as well as English, a Handwriting Competition was held in the Primary and Middle Sections on 20th September 2010. The teachers In charge were Ms.Samar Atiq and Ms. Ayesha Waqas respectively. Certificates were awarded to the position holders.

The Essay Writing Competition The students highlighted the importance of “Peace in the world today” in the Essay Writing Competition which was held on 21st September 2010 . The teachers In charge were Ms.Samar Atiq and Ms. Ayesha Waqas. The winners were awarded with merit certificates in a special assembly.

Bake Sale

As a part of charity program for the people affected by the floods, students of Career Advisor 78-A-1 participated Ms. Rubina Kausar has been appointed enthusiastically in a Career Advisor for our campus to assist Bake Sale. The students of Middle Section organized this sucand guide students in their chosen cessful event. Students from other branches career paths. visited & enjoyed the various flavors of food.

Career Guidance Session H O L D E R S

A Career Guidance Session on medicine was held on 25th October 2010. Dr. Anbrin Salick (FCPS), Asst. Professor, presented a synopsis on MBBS and Specialization in various medical fields as well as the future trends in this genre.

Grooming Sessions Grooming Sessions were held by our Career Advisor, Ms. Rubina Kausar, for all the levels. The girls were taught how to groom themselves, and to focus on cleanliness in general. Ensuring neatness and wearing of the right uniform is the first and the foremost daily duty of our student council members.

Music Gala A Music Gala held on 15th November, 2010. Various stalls were set up for the students to buy food. The money collected was donated to the flood affected people.

Moving Towards the New World E-TAC lessons are being conducted by all the teachers on a weekly basis. Students are enthusiastically taking part in learning with the latest technology.

SAIP Activity

As a part of Social Awareness program, the students did research work on ‘Energy Saving' under the guidance & supervision of Ms I.T Workshop Rubina Kausar. Election Fever Grips 78-A-1 Election fever was experienced in senior sections, with manifestos being prepared, slogans written and attractive persuasive posters displayed everywhere for the different posts. The candidates gave speeches to the school before the voting took place. Promises were made on key issues before an excited crowd in our campus. Students voted for the best candidates on November 24, 2010 and eagerly awaited the result which are as follows: Student Council, Session 2010-2011            

Oath Taking Ceremony: The Council pledged to fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities. They then recieved their respective sashes from the Headmistress and were assigned their official responsibilities.

Eid Milan Party Eid is all about celebrating with families and friends. A colourful Eid Milan Party was held in our campus and girls especially arrived in a wonderful array of styles, neck designs and sleeve patterns, customized blouses, and matching costume jewelry. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the aroma of delicious pizzas and desi food.

Prize Distribution Ceremony The auspicious occasion of the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2009-2010 was held on Friday, December 03, 2010. Dr. Irshad Ahmad Farrukh, the Director Division of Education, University of Education, Lahore, graced the occasion as chief guest. In his speech, he praised the achievements of our new branch & expressed appreciation for the hard work of students & teachers. The high achievers received medals & certificates for their commendable performance in presence of their proud parents. Mrs. Samina Farooq congratulated the toppers & thanked aeveryone.


Spelling Bee Contest— 2010 Beaconhouse has always placed great emphasis on verbal and written communication with correct spelling, pronunciation and expression. To promote this, a Spelling Bee Contest was held for the students of classes VI and VII. Ms. Ayesha Waqas and Ms. Ayesha Javaid organized and conducted the event. Students and their teachers from 79-G were invited and they were full of praise for the school environment. Team results:  

First Parent Teacher Meeting The parents visited the branch and discussed about the academic progress and personality development of their children in the first parent-teacher meeting held on 30th October, 2010. They were informed about any areas of concern and were given suggestions for further improvement in the Mid-Year Examination in December 2010.

Inter-School and Inter-College Punjab Olympic Games As healthy body has a healthy mind ! Special emphasis is laid on sports along with academics. Our Hockey Team won the Bronze Medal for 3rd position in the Inter-School and Inter-College Punjab Olympic Games held from 1st to 5th November 2010. Another victory was achieved by our branch in Intra-Regional Athletics Competition. Two students have won the Bronze medals namely Hira Iqbal of Class 6 for 100 m race and Aghna Naveed of Class 9M for Shot Put respectively.

Security Measures     

A workshop on security measures was conducted by the security in-charge for the teachers & students. Evacuation and Lock-up drills were conducted for exercise and awareness in the students. More security cameras are installed. Walkie - Talkies are provided to all the guards. Regular use of Metal Detectors ensures the safety of all the students and staff members.
