The spirit of competition with other schools is very important in order to evaluate the strengths of your students. A mega academic event was organized by English and Urdu Debating Societies on 15th February in which speakers from various schools competed against each other. Trophies were awarded to the position holders and participation certificates were given to all the participants.
Mehfil-e-Milad A Mehfil-e-Milad was held on 4th March in the school premises. Students from all sections participated with religious zeal and fervor. The mothers of the students were also invited and were happy to attend this event.

BDC – A Level Campus Visit.
The 2nd term started with a fun-packed BONFIRE event on 14th January . It provided the perfect ambiance for a casual get-together for friends and turned the cold winter evening into a hot memorable occasion for all to enjoy.
Students of Grade XI-C visited the BDC A Level Campus along with the career advisor and met the faculty members. They were amazed to see the labs at BDC, especially the one for Media Studies. They also attended a session by the A Level career advisors in which they learned about the various subject options and career paths.
Reinforcement Workshops for XI-C. Comprehensive revision sessions were held by the O’Level faculty members for the outgoing batch during 21st – 25th February. Multimedia presentations prepared by the teachers helped the students in reinforcing their concepts and provided final tips for all the subjects. Well done, Teachers! Best of luck, Students! Remedial Classes: The February checkpoints identified some areas for improvement for students of Grade VIII and XC. Remedial classes were held by the respective subject teachers.
Face to Face and Online Training Workshops for O Levels Faculty Continuous Staff Development is an integral part of the Beaconhouse School System. The O Level faculty members attended face to face and online training workshops organized by the British Council. Paper setters and chief examiners of CIE for the past 15 years explained the importance of syllabi and discussed the marking schemes. They also shared useful websites with the teachers.
Excursion Trips for all levels. Throughout the year, the school was abuzz with various co-curricular activities. Excursion trips added variety to this experience. Students from all levels visited different places including the Rafi Peer Theatre, Race Course Park and Safari Park and learnt about nature and the environment in the company of their friends and teachers.
Dental Camp ‘Smile and the world smiles with you’. Healthy white teeth reflect a smile that makes friends. Doctors provided free dental check-ups to the entire school’s student body in a Dental Camp on 9th February. They explained how to take care of your teeth and described proper brushing techniques to the students.
Sports Intra-Regional Badminton Tournament was held in Gujranwala. Our team, comprising of Aghna Naveed, Zainab Zartasha and Arfa Zaib won the Trophy for 3rd position. Hira Iqbal of Class VI was selected for representing the Punjab Women Hockey Team at the Karachi National Women Hockey Championship. She won the Bronze medal for 3rd position and also brought back the Team Trophy. Well Done Hira !
Time to Bid Farewell to XI-C and XM! The Farewell Party for XI-C and X-M on 23rd February was a delight for everyone. Students of IX-M and X-C had prepared a variety of items and skits to cheer the outgoing O Level and Matriculation batches. Interesting titles were awarded to all the students. It was a wonderful evening to remember! We wish both the batches the best of luck in all future endeavours. A farewell assembly was also conducted by XI-C to bid Farewell to the management, faculty members and their fellow students. Goodbye Girls !
New Seeds of Hope (Under IKF- Imran Khan Foundation) As keen supporters of all noble causes, Beaconites have always come forward to actively participate in mobilising the youth to combat the challenge that our nation is facing today. Our students contributed wholeheartedly in the fundraising campaign for the Farmers under the Pukar Youth Mobilisation Campaign by Imran Khan. They sold tickets and donated generously for farmers.
Career Advice Seminar for Grade VIII. A seminar was organized for the guidance of grade VIII students and their parents on 10th February to facilitate the decision making process for subject options and probable career paths. The parents discussed various queries with the career advisor and were grateful for this wonderful platform. Career Counseling for students is a regular process on day-to-day basis. WWF Internships WWF Internship Certificates were awarded to Muzna Ijaz, Khizra Liaqat, Saba Naseer of XC and Haq of XI-C for the successful completion of their internships in the last summer break.

Online Quizzes The students participated in an Online Quiz on World Maths Day, 1st March and World Spelling Day, 3rd March. These educational events promote better understanding and improved concepts among students all over the world. To enhance our students’ learning about mental Maths through effective use of technology, An Inter-class Multimedia Mathematics Quiz for Grade V was organized by Ms. Ghazala Noreen. Class V-green won this competition by scoring the highest points. E-TAC lesson Technology integrated lessons immensely increase students’ learning. These lessons are a regular part of our teaching strategies. Upgraded Plantation. Plantation has been upgraded in the entire school building. A rockery and new flowering plants have been added to the existing ones. In addition to this, the lush green grassy lawn is a welcoming treat for all. Security Drills Lock Down and Evacuation Drills are a regular part of our school life to prepare the students for any emergency situation. The security in charge, the HM, Coordinator and teachers on duty supervise these drills.
