The future of the world is in the classrooms of today!
A word from the School Head “Happiness is the highest form of health” ~ Dalai Lama As much as we miss the daily school routine, the early morning shouts of good morning teacher, the exciting greetings of students to each other, the shrill sound of the school bell followed by the cheers of our young students and their endless chirping, we suddenly find ourselves compelled to live through the most unusual and difficult circumstances than ever. We move on, each day with some new information, new research or a new coping mechanism which sometimes is authentic and sometimes mere speculation. The new world, where keeping distance is now the safest mode of connection, demands a response that is well-thought, rational and sensible. To ensure a healthy, safe and productive environment for ourselves and our children we need to adapt and respond practically. Not only is it time to reflect but also to analyze and decide a way forward. COVID-19 has endorsed the fact that the role of technology is undeniable. We as adults can model for our kids and teach them to look for opportunities even in the toughest of times. The students’ and teachers’ contributions during the five weeks of BSU before Ramzan were very promising. It was an equally fruitful yet different learning experience for all the stakeholders. The teaching and learning approaches will keep on evolving and as I mentioned earlier how quickly and open-mindedly we adapt or respond to them will determine their outcomes.

I pray the hustle and bustle of our school returns soon as there is no substitute for the real time experience of a classroom, where the teachers try to meet individual needs of their students and create an environment which contributes to long lasting learning. However, the process of teaching and learning has to go on, and for that BSU platform is the best alternative where the teaching faculty assures to provide an environment closest to the real classroom. Furthermore; I am very hopeful that together we can explore new opportunities in this challenging time and consolidate upon them to build foundations to a new future. Regards,
Tahmina Karamat

Online classes, seriously! A million thoughts came to my mind. I was down on the dump because I didn't have my email and password. But no worries my teacher helped me immediately. The first day was amazing but to be honest everyday was awesome. There were fun activities and assignments to do. Oh yes, there were daily live sessions too. To meet and greet your friends and to see lively faces of your lovely teachers is surely a pleasure. These sessions helped us understand the new topics like a piece of cake. In short, I think in this difficult time of Covid19, BSU has been an excellent experience. As we stay home and yet never once miss out on our learning. Stay safe, stay home.

Life at LMA 11-FCC by Aimen Omar, Grade V, the School Head Girl A huge smile comes on my face when I think about all the amazing moments I spent at LMA 11-FCC. Very soon we will be leaving this branch and move to the senior school. It makes me sad yet will take fond memories along. I feel proud to tell you that becoming the Head Girl of the school was an amazing opportunity. By holding the post I learnt so much, like respecting my peers and loving and understanding problems of my younger friends. I couldn't Students during the memorable presentation of “Arms & the Man” and have done it without my teachers. They the Oath Taking Ceremony 2019-20 moulded me into who I am today. Everyone was so sweet to me. Ms. Shafaq was the best, always supportive and encouraging. Ms. Tahmina was the sweetest Headmistress ever. We barged into her office in times of stress and conflicts and she always made sure to resolve the issues with brilliant solutions. We looked forward to our assembly days, the early morning beat of the drum gave us a strange energy for the day ahead. Our fellow students told us interesting facts and asked us for some interesting and innovative projects. Break time! Oh, such lovely time in school. Simply loved spending the lunch time in our beautiful Courtyard Café. I still can't believe that these three years in this school flew by me and I didn't even notice. It's like they say time flies and so it does indeed.
How I see life after COVD-19 They say that Mother Earth is recovering through COVID-19 epidemic. Maybe it is taking some rest. Strange thing to say, isn’t it! I think so too. The sky is definitely brighter, the air purer and some say the ozone has healed itself again. It has also improved the quality of our family time. But staying at home did not stop us from anything and we moved on by finding replacements. Very soon Insha-Allah COVID will die down and the schools will reopen for us to enjoy the old routine all over again. So how will life be from now onwards? In the days to come technology will become a must part of our lives and internet our lifeline. From education to shopping of groceries and fancy products, everything will just be a click away. Some believe that the students will carry digital notebooks or laptops instead of books and copies in their bags. We will submit our assignments and homework through online platforms. This will enable us to save paper which will eventually contribute to a decrease in deforestation across the world. We will also hold meetings with our teachers after school hours if needed. Let us keep our fingers crossed and see what the future brings to us!! by Maham Raza Grade IV
A word from the expert: Prof. Dr Majeed Tahir and Dr Myda Tahir (Parents of Umm e Aimen IV –D and Hadia Tahir V-A)
Our nation is going through a difficult time due to COVID-19 pandemic. We as doctors are trying our best to provide our services with dedication to the mankind. Many doctors lost their lives because they were exposed to the COVID virus while taking care of patients. Despite the lockdown announced by the government and awareness programs being introduced, people are still not Stay Home Stay Safe playing their role responsibly. Even if they are aware of it, they are not refraining from unnecessary gatherings and shopping. As a result, patients of COVID virus are increasing drastically. God forbid if the disease becomes uncontrollable then the already overburdened health system will collapse. If so, there will be no medical facilities like ventilators, ICU’s and trained medical staff to take care of the patients. To date there is no cure for this pandemic but the only solution is to break the chain that transfers the disease to others. It is our duty to follow the instructions given by authorities regarding personal health and hygiene, maintaining social distances, not coughing and sneezing openly. Success to fight against the disease lies in combined efforts by government, doctors and individuals. Let us join our hands together to fight against this deadly disease. May Almighty Allah protect us all. Ameen Attention attention…We will be resuming our BSU online classes from Monday, 1st of June 2020, after the Summer Break. Your teachers will be there with exciting lessons. See you!
