BKI F-8/2 participated in International Kangaroo Literacy Contest for the academic year 2019-20. We are proud to announce the names of the bronze medal winners; Zoeya Noor Butt Grade II, Umer Faizullah Grade III, Aleezey Husnain Grade IV and Anamta Ali Grade V. For International Kangaroo Science Contest of the academic year 2019-2020, BKI F-8/2 earned three bronze medals; Eman Umer Grade I, Aymen Khurram Grade II and Muhammad Hassan Grade III. Pehchan Pakistan Contest was held in September 2019 and BKI F-8/2 added another feather in the cap where Eshaal Binte Zeeshan Grade III was announced National Winner while Anaiza Hanif Nursery class won Provincial Award. 1

Coffee Mornings; Parental Engagement Senior Headmistress, Ms. Rahat Agha hosted three coffee mornings for Mothers of new admissions of Early years in September and October 2019. Mothers were invited in an informal session to share different initiatives and the school’s action plan. Such forums not only engage parents in school activities but also provide them with a platform to put forward their suggestions and concerns. Mothers appreciated the school’s efforts and desired for more activities in future.

Orientation Session Orientations sessions were arranged for parents of Grade PreNursery to Grade V in September. The Senior Headmistress, Ms. Rahat Agha shared the aims and objectives of curricula of different subjects and presented a brief insight of assessment procedures.

Celebrating dignity; Global Dignity Day

Investiture Ceremony; Democracy Witnessed

BKI F-8/2 celebrated Global dignity day as a ritual that is to be taken place on every third Wednesday of October. A series of events have taken place to ensure dignity as part of the curriculum. PSHE lessons were conducted to inculcate principles of dignity where students made resolutions and designed posters that were later displayed on Dignity Wall. Volunteer teaching carried out in an underprivileged school of Saaya foundation. Art and music lessons were conducted while donations were handed over to the school principal that was made by our gracious parents. A special morning assembly was held on 16th October where Chief guests Mr. Hassan Mujtaba, Programme lead of Art for Change, shared his words of wisdom.

To promote the true sense of civic responsibility and to develop the importance of voting in an election, BKI F-8/2 organised an Election Campaign for the selection of Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head boy, Deputy Head girl, Head Prefect, Green School Ambassador and House Captains. The newly-elected Student Council was given sashes in the Investiture Ceremony by Sir Nassir Kasuri Executive Director North, Ms. Safia Cassim Cluster Director North and Ayesha Ansar Cluster Convener. In the end, Senior Headmistress, Ms. Rahat Agha shared her expectations from the student council and motivated them to dream big and aspire for higher ambitions.

Annual Prize Distribution

Teachers’ Day; Acknowledging Efforts

To honour the outstanding academic performances of our students for the session 2018-19, an Annual Prize Distribution was organised by branch in October 2019. Shields were given to the students by Ms. Fauzia Rizwan (Regional Manager Training, North) Ms. Ayesha Ansar (Cluster Convener) and Mr. Hassan Mujtaba, (Programme lead of Art for Change). This event could not have been possible without the hard work and the diligence of our students as well as the teachers. We are proud of them! .

Teachers’ day is celebrated every year on October 5th. The determined efforts and the influential role of teachers in the school were acknowledged by a special morning assembly with a tea treat during break time. The Senior Headmistress, Ms. Rahat Agha presented letters and flower buds to all the teachers and acknowledged their hard work. .

Trip to WePlay Students of Early years from BKI F-8/2 enjoyed a day away from the classroom on December 12, 2019. Students visited WePlay and took part in various recreational activities including storytelling sessions and physical games.
