Upcoming Events August 10 - First Day of New Session September 15 FACE to FACE Schooling resumed August 16 Volunteer Library Training August 22 - Open House at 6pm

From the Head's Desk Dear Parents,

I greet you at the end of this session with an amalgam of feelings and hope to find you in the best of your health and spirits. Firstly, I take up this chance to celebrate the tremendous success of Beaconhouse Schooling Uninterrupted. When the world was engulfed by an unforeseen state of uncertainty, we at Beaconhouse already had a direction to follow. Immediately, after the spring break we took charge of our students’ learning. We did not take it as just a temporary solution, but as a responsibility to find ways and methodologies to continue the schooling process most effectively. Despite the socially and economically trying times, our administration and faculty have been tirelessly working day and night to improve the distance learning process. We have successfully managed to conduct highly-engaging synchronous lessons supplemented by digital tools. We have not only managed to impart meaningful online lessons for all subjects; but also inculcated the spirit of competition and achievement through multiple intra-school and inter-school virtual competitions and co-curricular activities like “The Virtual Gala 2020”, Atelier and the BEL (Beaconhouse Emerging Leaders). Professional

Reminders Please return your childrens' Back to School Forms by Friday, August 14th. Please confirm attendance to our Open House on the 22nd by tomorrow.

development of teachers also continued through multiple workshops and online courses. As we continue to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, I am constantly reminded how very lucky we are at Beaconhouse Harley street to be supported by such a warm and supportive parental community. I would like to thank you for your constant support and encouragement; and constructive feedback and suggestions, which have helped us improve this virtual experience for our learners. During these challenging times, the trust and partnership that we have developed will be the foundation of our success. We must work together more than ever to keep our community healthy and safe. As head of school, I am honored to lead a distinguished cohort of dynamic, dedicated, and talented educators. I specially congratulate and thank my teachers for their sheer hard work and perseverance in these testing times. The sudden transition of going virtual and moving into an uncharted territory and then giving in their best to make BSU a remarkable success; once again my teaching staff has proved their dedication to the learning process. In all times, but especially in difficult times, it’s essential to find opportunities to feel gratitude and joy. Looking forward to start of the new session on August 10, 2020. Faceto-face schooling will commence from September 15, 2020 conditional to Government directives. Best regards, Ms. Sumairah Naveed (HM BSS-HSPR)
