We feel honored and content on becoming the head of student council for this academic year. It is certainly a privilege for us to represent BEC and its students. Beaconhouse has been a home for more than seven years. Every cherishable moment and each countable experience has made us the persons we are today, therefore we are delighted on earning a chance to give back what we have learnt from this institution. Being the leaders, success is about helping others and reach greater heights so we focus on drawing from each other’s strength rather than overcoming challenges alone. We shall continue the legacy established by previous leaders at BEC. We look forward to a dynamic year ahead with fulfilled activities and achieving aims together as a team. Quran Khawani Like previous years, BEC O’Level organized Quran Khwani on 2nd September, 2016 to mark the session’s beginning with prayers and hope of Allah’s blessings upon this institution. All students, faculty members and staff participated in it with religious zeal. In the end, all raised their hands for prayers to achieve great successes and prosperity of the institution. Swimming is a popular sport
Twin Cities Swimming Gala at BEC. It is a healthy physical activity for fitness and muscle strength. BEC students are lucky enough to have the facility of swimming pool at the campus and BEC has produced good swimmers in the last 3 years. This year BEC swimmers actively participated in competition and won positions and medals in Twin City Swimming Competition held on October 6, 2016 at the campus.
Campus Inauguration Celebrations After the tragic incident of APS Peshawar in Dec, 2014, BEC was moved from Motorway campus to hired buildings in G-15, Islamabad. However the system management took a hearty decision to construct a purpose built campus in the same vicinity to cater the needs of the students towards excellence in education.
Inter-regional Sports Carnival BEC had the honor this year to host the closing ceremony of Inter-regional Sports Carnival at Jinnah Sports Complex on December 01, 2016. Teams from all three regions enthusiastically participated in the event. Mr. Farhan Mehboob, the promising squash player, was the chief guest at the occasion.
The new campus became a reality in just 8 months. Mrs. Nasreen Kasuri and Mr. Kasim Kasuri graced the occasion and inaugurated the new campus by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the inaugural slab on 6 September, 2016. A colourful program was organized with performances including karate, Spanish dance,
Chinese cultural performance, archery, futsal and swimming competitions.
Global Dignity Day When we build a culture of understanding and uphold human dignity, we build a better world”. Ban Ki-moon BEC exuberantly celebrated ‘Global Dignity day” to educate and inspire youth in particular about the concept that everyone is equal in this world and has equal rights. A program was organized with performances and speeches.

Eid Milan Party An Eid Milan Party was arranged for the students on September 23, 2016. It was a colorful event. Interesting performances from all grade levels were witnessed in the school auditorium. Eatables’ stalls were arranged in the
playground. Beautiful ambience was created for the fun day. Students participated in the event cheerfully and enjoyed up to the fullest.

Investiture Ceremony The elections for the Students’ Council held in the campus on October 26, 2016. An investiture ceremony of
the Student Council was held on November 22, 2016. In keeping with the tradition they were awarded with their sashes, to officially proclaim them as newly elected council. Mr. Nassir Kasuri graced the event with his presence and congratulated the students. Proud parents watched the Student Council take its oath and pledged to fulfill their respective duties.
Iqbal day Celebrations Iqbal Day was celebrated on November 18, 2016. BEC Students ardently participated on this auspicious day to commemorate Iqbal’s poetry, philosophy and message. A very thought-provoking skit was displayed by the students to show the importance of Iqbal’s message through his poetry. The student’s sang “Kalam-e-Iqbal in Chorus.
Charity Fun Fair a funfair on November 15, 2016 with a sentiment of charity and purpose. An extravaganza of colorful stalls were arranged in the playground. Gaming zone was organized to attract the students to play games on multimedia. Futsal Tournament was also the part of this colourful event. Students actively participated in the activity for the noble cause. The contribution was handed over to SOS Village Rawalpindi.
World Teachers’ Day World Teacher’s day was celebrated at the campus on October 5,2016 by students to honor and acknowledge the important role of teachers in their grooming and bringing up. BEC Students believe that teachers transform lives and that they ignite the curiosity and kindle spirit to accept challenges in life.
Laurels in Sports With great honor and Pride we announce that BEC is the champion of the Intra Regional Badminton tournament and Runners up of Intra Regional Basketball Tournament.This is the third year that BEC has been crowned the champions in Badminton. Our student Ahmed Hassan Janjua is U-19, Badminton National Champion..
