I feel immensely grateful to Allah who has blessed us with safety and health and continuity of learning and teaching process in these trying times. Beaconhouse schooling uninterrupted
Students and teachers confronted a new challenge which they accepted whole heartedly and worked generously on the 21st century tools for making BSU an all time success. They had their hands on Kahoot, Near pod, Google slides, Padlet wall and many other digital tools for making their live sessions more interactive and giving learning new dimensions and channels. I have been greatly impressed and reassured by the adaptaMessage bility of our students as they have dealt with these challenging from times so positively. They have not only maturely accepted their role in protecting our community and behaving appropriSMI’s Desk ately but also have adopted the virtual mode of teaching in almost no time. In many ways we are seeing the best of our students as they illustrate through their actions that they are up to the challenge of navigating through a global pandemic.
I appreciate my staff and admin team for planning activities and events with maximum outreach. Some highlights of BSU are BEL (Beaconhouse Emerging Leaders) an online competition for Secondary School and FUNtastic Frenzy for Early Years and Primary School. This academic year concluded with some great results from our outgoing classes. I am proud to share that our Matric Result was 100% with highest marks being 1054 secured by Usman Ayaz. Our O’ Levels and college programme, passing out batch has also performed exceptionally well with 27 A* and 56 A’s with 100% A2 result. We, as community, have faced unique challenges in this pandemic. I sincerely pray to Allah that academic session 2020-21 is full of pleasant opportunities and possibilities where our students generate ideas and achieve excellence in academics.
Beaconhouse Emerging Leaders
BSSA proudly announced Beaconhouse Emerging Leaders (BEL)- online competitions Year 2020. This nationwide competition provided our students an opportunity to contest and prove themselves in various participation categories like, poster and documentary making, collage making, ted talks and Urdu/English poetry BSSA had the honor of having an esteemed panel of jury who gave their valuable opinions and very keenly selected the worthy winners. The participation turn out throughout the nation was overwhelming and beaconites from all over the country showed their potential through some outstanding contributions. There were almost 700 entries registered for BEL throughout the nation, our talented Beaconites showed their interest and participated with a vigor. The event created a buzz all over as in the current challenging time of pandemic this proved to be an attention divert towards something positive and constructive for the
Online Parent teacher meeting spring 2020 BSU also took another leap by arranging for the very first time an interactive one on one Parent Teacher Meeting for discussing the Virtual Teaching and to share the concerns and ambiguities of the parents related to the online teaching. It turned out to be a huge success as the parents commended the teachers and the system for this initiative and were very pleased and satisfied with the contributions of the system. They shared their valuable feedbacks and suggestions which were a morale booster for the whole system.
BSSA Interactive and Innovative Matric classes Knowledge Platform’s comprehensive education technology solution includes instructional content, videos, games and assessments aligned to the national curriculum, learning management systems, Artificial Intelligence, data and reporting, teacher training and technical and school support. Through these products, and others under development, Knowledge Platform expects to transform learning at home and in the classroom. Knowledge Platform’s education technology provides data of students' record in such a way that helps schools to constantly monitor and improve their performance across all the subjects. BSSA has shown remarkable performance standards according to the records of Knowledge Platform’s. BSSA has ranked on the first position in showing maximum participation on BSU. Marwa Kiyani, Nangyal Zahir Shah, Saifullah ,Mansour ,Daniyal,Maira and Bisal have made tremendous efforts and showed noteworthy involvement in attending classes and submitting their assignments on BSU.
Beaconites participation in virtual local & national events BSSA successfully participated in an online contest called VASSL 3.0 launched by BSS Canal Side Campus for girls. In this online event students excitedly from around the globe were given opportunities and a platform to articulate and manifest their talents during the pandemic period.Students from BSSA participated in the following three categories. Talking Titans- aimed at developing students speaking skills in pubic. POMPAK learn to earn Beaconhouse with the cooperation of NIBAF has brought an exciting opportunity by introducing the game POMPAK-Learn to Earn to students of classes from 6 till 11. Students of BSSA have taken immense interest in this program and have been participating enthusiastically in the activities shared on POMPAK under the guidance and supervision of their teachers.
