Our new academic session started on the 3'd August 2015 with a new energy and hope to make maximum progress and development throughout the year. New initiatives have been introduced for this academic year by BSS Head office, which includes the new Early Years curriculum, introduction of Personal health, safety and environmental hygiene as a subject from Class I-VIII. Teachers & Head were given training sessions regarding these for better implementation of the initiatives. New Early Years curriculum has given more autonomy to teachers as they can now plan their own lessons according to a range of short & long term attainment targets as well as search and conduct activities according to the objectives. Assessments also have to be made by each teacher for assessing the achievement of the targets being covered. Teachers will now research and find out ways to make their lessons more meaningful and interesting. Teachers were given two days training sessions by School Group Academic Team and were assigned tasks to complete in order to show their understanding of the new curriculum.
Our two teachers Madeeha Rehman Early Years and Sumbal Ishaq Primary & Middle, completed Developing Real Practitioner course being conducted by School Group Office II. They are assigned with written assignments to complete, also they will be observed for the new teaching strategies being taught in the course by the trainers of the course in their classes. Clubs were made in the school and students participate

period called "zero period" after the break, twice a week. The different
clubs are; English Club, Art Club,
Urdu Club & Environmental Club. Students really enjoy the club period and look forward to learning new things in it.
Students took part in many online competitions in this term. Class V students Jai Dev Gandhi, Rimsha Ihsan and Sheharyar Feroz took part in Intra Group English Story Telling Competition. They were awarded with certificates of participation

-----------------------" Parents were called to meet their children teachers and discuss issues relating to the academics and social life on 28th October 2015. It went very well and suggestions were discussed to further improve their child's progress. Class VII students Ehtisham ul Hassan and Muneeze Malik participated in Intra group online voice over competition for which they have to record dialogues for a given English video clip, with proper intonation, clarity and tone. Both of the students enjoyed it a lot and learned to practice dialogue delivery.

Special assembly was organized to honour the sacrifice of APS students. Students presented speeches and wrote poems to remember the little and young souls who left us last year.

Global Dignity Day was celebrated with the same zeal and enthusiasm as each year. Students prepared and delivered speeches, short stories and skits to show their understanding of fhe concept of dignity and respecting each other rights.

Class III & IV students took part in Online Intra Group Comics Competition. Students of both classes were given a theme on the day of competition and students had to make a story on the given topic using bitstrip software in the IT lab. Students in groups of four participated
from
class III & IV. They discussed and thought about their story line and developed a story together. They worked on the software and submitted the final story online. We are proud of our creative students who grabbed positions in our school group schools. Class III stood first in the
Student Elections were held for classes I-VII in the first week of September 2015. Students went through a practical demonstration of electoral procedure and expected behavior of candidates and voters. Candidates launched an extensive voting campaign a week prior to elections, visited classes and convinced voters to vote for them. Voting was done and proctors were selected. Oath Taking ceremony was held in assembly after elections.
