Successfully achieving the learning objectives along with colourful and exciting events, our school year has finally concluded. This year we focused on strengthening cognitive skills of our young minds in the best shape. We made concerted efforts to explore students' potential to its fullest by providing an enabling environment for the students as well as for the teachers. Involvement of parents in all activities helped a great deal in fostering creative minds of our future leaders.

Three cheers for finally coming to the end of the Second Term, of a very successful, eventful, interactive and jubilant learning year!!! The first school year of Beaconhouse Risalpur has completed successfully. We stand tall and proud to have accomplished so much in our very first school year. The Management’s professionalism, Teachers commitment, devotion, handwork and the Students enthusiasm, keenness and fervor has paid off!!

ELE Fiesta and Spring Gala

100 Days Celebrations!!

We are proud to boast that following the traditions of the first term we arranged yet another ELE Fiesta in the second term as well, providing another amazing forum to literate parents on the amazing interactive learning taking place in our school. The event contained hands on experience in the fields of healthy eating, games, art and crafts and recycling.

We celebrated 100 successful days of BBS Risalpur with full zest and zeal in the form of Beaconfire. Beaconfire was a huge success, where a fun filled activity evening was arranged for our students along with their parents. We organized competitions for both students as well as their parents. There were various food stalls for the families to enjoy. The day ended with a huge Bonfire, amongst loud cheers and celebrations.

Model United Nation MUN was among the best learning fields, when students from our branch went to Attock and spoke on behalf of their allotted country Saudi Arabia. This activity was an excellent source of exposure and learning.

Plantation Week To arouse the sense of awareness on environment and plantation a whole week was celebrated by the end of January. All the students brought green plants on their allocated day, they had funtime by going into the garden and planting their plant with their own hands!! This was an excellent learning exposure.

Let’s Eat Healthy Week This week was celebrated exclusively for the Early Year’s students. The students learned the importance and benefits of eating healthy and were urged to bring healthy lunch to school for the whole week. Numerous hands on activities like colouring, sorting healthy food items, and making fruit and vegetables, were organized to maximize understanding and learning in young minds.

Early Years Spring Gala Spring Gala was organized exclusively for the Early Years students and Parents to celebrate the onset of the colourful Spring! Many learning activities like flower competition, card making competition and Kite flying competition. The day was celebrated with a one dish to share between Moms, Young Learners and EY Teachers.

BSS Orientation Session in Mardan BSS Risalpur participated wholeheartedly in the joint venture of “Orientation Session of BBS”. Branches of Risalpur, Mardan and Nowshera collaborated together to make the evening happen where the people of the locality were given first-hand knowledge on the functioning and learning experiences within the school. Risalpur Branch was seen active in all domains and fields to make the event a success.

BSS Stall in MCE Spring Festival in SOM BSS Risalpur organized a colourful and phenomenal stall in the Station Officers Mess in Risalpur Cant. The stall provided a brilliant insight into our schools proficient state of the art technology in learning domain and our teacher’s interactive skills to maximize students’ knowledge and learning.

BSS Risalpur Book Fair BSS Risalpur boastfully hosted a book fair for three days in Risalpur Cant both to facilitate our students as well as the local people. The event was inaugurated

by Commandant Military College of Engineering. The book fair included books for children from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3.The event took off and pleased the audience greatly and we were requested to host such stalls in the future as well!!

“Pakistan Post Office” Letter Writing Contest Pakistan Post organized a letter writing contest where they offered grand cash prizes to the winners. The topic was “A Letter to my 45 Year Old Self”. This contest was an excellent forum to encourage hand written letters among students. The students came up with amazing new ideas to send to their 45 year old self and a large number of entries were sent to Pakistan Post from our school.

Essay Writing and Hand Writing Competition Our Branch always encouraged and supported extra-curricular activities, and this competition was an extension of this type of learning. An Essay Writing Competition was organized for the Middle School and Writing Competition for the Primary Level students. This competition proved a reinforcement in English Language Skills. Azm Waseem of Red House won the trophy for Essay Competition and Sehrish Mughees secured the trophy for the Hand Writing Competition.

HRC English and Science Quizzes Students participated whole heartedly in these Quizzes on National level, and the Quiz in both the subjects were conducted in three different rounds. Students were exposed to an altogether new experience by preparing and also attempting the Quizzes. Syed Hayyan Ali Zaidi secured a silver medal in the HRC Science Quiz.

Kangaroo Linguistic and Math Contest Kangaroo Linguistic and Math Contest were also conducted and a large number of students participated from our Campus.

Kangaroo Contests are internationally renowned contests. Students were provided a brilliant opportunity through this contest to have a first-hand knowledge of such activities. Students were exposed to learning and outcome internationally and also learned the vital techniques of filling out an answer sheet. Haneen Kamran of Class VIII, secured the first position in our District in the Kangaroo Linguistic.

Powtoon Competition

Students from class VIII participated in Powtoon Regional Online Contest, which was organized by BSS. This was an excellent opportunity to polish students IT Skills. We are very proud to announce that our student’s presentation secured the first prize in the whole region. Sophia Shahryar, Haneen Kamran, Shamir Siddique and Luqman Khan were the very proud winners of the contest.

Purple Mash Purple Mash contest, which was an international contest, was conducted for the Primary School Students. The students participated whole heartedly. Every student was allotted their ID’s and passwords and they read the online stories and took Quizzes. Our Branch is very proud to have Iman Noor in Class IV who secured the first position in the contest internationally!!

House System at BSSR

A number of interhouse competitions took place throughout the year and Yellow house was declared the winner house for the session 2015-16 for winning the maximum number of competitions.Congratulations yellow house!!

Mystery Skype Sessions Middle School Students experienced an altogether new familiarity to students of Hungry and Oman through Mystery Skype Sessions. This provided a unique experience to our students to get exposed to students on international level and have a one to one interaction with them and also to experience their class room environment.

Sports Competition: Early Years and Primary School, participated in a flamboyant, energetic and colourful Sports Day, where the Middle School Students provided support to their young counterparts. The Chairman Cant Board Ms Azra Bakht hosted the event and all mothers witnessed their young, energetic and enthusiastic children participate in the event. The winners were giving away trophy and the students who secured first positions were given cash prizes by the Chief Guest.

Global Hand Washing Day This international day was celebrated to inculcate in the primary students the proper norms of washing hands and also to learn the benefits good health and how dirty germs can be escaped by proper hand washing!!! What a colourful and interactive day, thanks to teacher and young learners!!!!

Pakistan Day Celebrations Pakistan Day was celebrated with full zest and zeal by BSS Risalpur. The Amazing weather added to the grandeur of the day. An Inter House Debate Competition was held to commemorate the sacrifices of the Muslims of the Sub Continent. Students of the Middle School took part in a declamation contest whereas the Primary and Early Years students presented tabloos, presentations and role plays. Varisha Irfan of Yellow House secured the Winning Trophy for the Declamation Contest Held on this occasion “Write a Different Ending” Online Regional Competition

This event was organized exclusively for the KG students of our Branch. The students were given scanned copies of stories to which they had to write a different ending. The young learner’s imagination and novelties were seen at its peak in this contest and our students very proudly secured the Second Position in the Region. Three Cheers for KG Class.

Visit to Local Zoo The Early Years Students were taken to two different local zoos to witness diverse birds and animals. The students learned about the animal’s habitat, food and how to take care of animals in captivity. They were also able to learn the importance of freedom for both humans as well as animals in nature. This activity was mainly conducted to provide awareness to students from a very early age to inculcate in them a sense of responsibility towards the nature.

Students Exchange Program A Brilliant Students Exchange was initiated by BSS Risalpur. The students of Fizaia Degree College were extended an invitation to Middle School Students. A good number of students from Class VI, VII, and VIII visited our Branch and spent a whole day with us. They were exposed to various learning mediums e.g e-beams, pie charts on netbooks and inspirational video on smart board. This was an excellent exposure for the students of both the schools.

Visit to Witness Passing out Parade at the P.A.F A visit to the P.A.F Academy was arranged for the whole school. The students witnessed the passing out parade of the P.A.F officials. Students were exposed to a highly methodical and disciplined event on this visit.

Colgate Bright Smile Contest Colgate Team visited our school to provide awareness of Oral Hygiene. They also gave demos of proper brushing and students were given takeaways as well. This exposure to members of International Brand was very fruitful for broadening the horizons of the young minds of our school. Students were also urged to send art entries on the topic of “My Bright Smile” to their company. A large number of students sent amazing creations to participate in the Contest!!

Pre School Students Visit to Cant Board Nursery A visit to a botanical garden of the Cant board was organized for the Early Years students.

Students witnessed numerous plants and were given the concept of shade loving, green and flowering plants. The brought baby plants as gifts from the Cant Board Nursery, which they planted with their own hand in the school garden, thus exposing the young learners to various learning mediums and activities regarding nature.
