So, the session has finally come to an end. It had been a good year, with lots to celebrate. Students have greatly enjoyed the vast choice of activities and experiences provided to them throughout. I take this opportunity to thank parents who enthusiastically participated in our events and in their child’s learning….you all deserve a pat on the back! The year’s end always brings with it a tremendous sense of achievement. So many things have been accomplished this year and a glimpse of these are given below:
Earth Day On April 22nd, 2016 the students of KG-1 PECHS celebrated Earth Day with a medley of educational and fun activities over a span of one whole week. Students took active part in speaking and shared their points of views while suggesting their resolution for making the planet a better place to live in. They helped tidy the School playground by picking up trash and throwing into the bin while ensuring to make it a regular practice. Discussion laid a lot of emphasis on the importance of conserving resources and recycling.

Students from each s ection recited in teres ting En glis h and urdu poe ms with fluency and exp res s ion. On the other hand all s tudents o f each s ection actively participated in g roup poem. It was marvelous to s ee our you ng s peakers perform s o confidently on s tage.

Pakistan Day: An immense spirit of patriotism was witnessed at KG-1 PECHS while celebrating Pakistan Day on 25th March 2016. The day started with recitation, followed by National Anthem, speeches and national songs by students amidst claps and slogans of ‘Long Live Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. Teachers and students discussed the importance of Pakistan Day and the historical significance of Minar-e-Pakistan. They also prepared badges to take home.
Elocution: In order to boost confidence and develop public speaking skills among our students, an elocution was organized on 22nd March for KG and grade ones. Students from each section recited interesting English and Urdu poems with fluency and expression. On the other hand all students of each section actively participated in the group poems. It was marvelous to see our young speakers perform so confidently on stage.
On March 12th, 2016 the school and all the students bloomed with colours and smiles welcoming the arrival of spring on a beautiful Saturday morning. A vibrant Spring Festival came into succession with hard work and dedication. Informative sessions by professionals were arranged for parents on topics like ‘Dental Hygiene’, ‘Speech and Language Milestones’, ‘Healthy Bones for a Healthy Life’ and ‘Effective Parenting Skills’ which was appreciated by all. It was enthralling to see our ‘Talking Encyclopedias’ speak on global issues like pollution, extinct animals, plants etc. Students displayed and presented their science projects. A photo booth, puppet show, magic show, potters wheel, IT Hub, story telling, health check up booth were only some of the highlights of the day.
Annual Sports at KG 1 PECHS was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 23rd January 2016. The ambience was decorated with snowflakes, penguins, polar bears, snowmen etc. following the theme, ‘Winter Wonderland’. The events included a splendid Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Aerobics and PE display and a variety of races, with the participation of all the students. This day was a great opportunity for parents and children to enjoy a healthy and active day out apart from the daily classroom routine. It gave students a chance to test and try out their physical development skills.
Sound Day: On February 18th, 2016 students of pre nursery presented the sounds they have learnt at school. They looked adorable dancing on the alphabet song while wearing headbands showcasing letters and sashes showing their vocabulary. This performance was greatly appreciated by parents who felt proud to see their little ones perform so well on stage.

In accordance with the topic ‘senses’ being learnt at school, on 15th February, the little munchkins of pre nursery performed on a song presenting the five senses and related them to the respective body parts. Other activities were also arranged for them to explore their senses like using play dough, sound box, popcorn activity etc.

As students of pre-nursery were learning about colours and their presence around them. On 16th February 2016, they presented a ravishing display of colours in their morning assembly. Attired with colourful headbands and pom poms, they sang and danced on the beats of the colour song presenting each colour beautifully. The environment was adorned with colourful balloons and tinsels.
Achievements out of School:
The winner of little art competition Fariq Adnan----- The competition was titled My Super Hero. Fariq chose to draw his PE teacher and won the prize of honor and his drawing was selected for the little art exhibition held at a local at gallery.
The three students who won the bronze medals in the International Kangaroo Math Competition are: Muhammad Ahmed Class 1 D, Tahoora Khalid Class 1 D and Mohammad Khizar Khan Class 1 E
11th May marked the day of our most successful Annual Concert. The function was a wonderful blend of skits, drama and song. It was amazing to see the students performing with finesse and confidence. They proved themselves as superb performers on stage.
I am extremely pleased to announce that all our students of class 1 have graduated this year. Congratulations on your achievement! I wish you the very best in your new class. The year passed by very past, but our students learnt many lessons and throughout all of these activities they have demonstrated great character. I am truly proud of each and every child and their achievements. In the end, I would like to wish you all the very best for a safe and enjoyable summer vacation. Parentsdo spend more time with your children and make their childhood something they cherish for life!
