Beaconhouse School System KG-II, PECHS Message from the Headmistress Summers are full of excitement for the students. This is the time of the year when they wait for their results and look forward to spend time at home or go on an excursion with their families. Parents can play an effective role in utilizing this time effectively by choos- ing interesting homework activities shared on Edmodo and Mobile app .

This is the high time to plan and go on adventurous trips to enjoy utmost without missing anything at school. Few suggestions that will make your trip safe and entertaining if you are planning a picnic or visiting another city/ country.

Make a checklist of all-important things you need to take on this trip.

Talk to the children about the place they are visiting.

Point out interesting sites as you drive.

Pack smartly keep a small first aid box, small water bottles, and some light snacks for the journey.

Click lot of pictures with the children and maintain “scrapbook” of photos and jottings of the day that you entertained you that day will help to keep memories.

Introducing kids to the trip ahead of time is especially important for first-timers if you are going to another country.

Going over an outline of the trip and what will be happening can help kids understand their situation at each point in the trip. They will know what to expect next, and as a re- sult, will be more comfortable with what’s going on around them.

Take this opportunity to go over your expectations for their behavior throughout the trip.

Detail how they should act on planes, in hotels, and on tour.

Brave Ali Once upon a time there was a brave boy named Ali. He trained raptors. His favourite was blue the vlosorapter. One night when they were sleeping a scary dinosaur named T.Rex came in the room from the window and took his favourite Blue raptor. When he woke up, he searched for Blue but could not find him. Suddenly, he heard the sound of help. Blue was calling him for help. Ali followed the sound and reached the haunted place. He bravely fought with the big and scary T.Rex and saved Blue raptor. Blue hugged him tightly and they both went back home.

Blind-sided by a new generation of blazing-fast cars, the legendary lightening McQueen finds himself pushed out of the sport that he loves. Hoping to get back in the game, he turns to Cruz Ramirez, an eager young technician who has her own plans for wining. With inspiration from the fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few more racing cars.

Pencil Town Once up a time there was a pencil that could speak. But sadly it did not have any friends.

Then one day a fairy came and made some more pencils with a flick of her wand and then, there were so many pencils that they made a pencil town.

One day Mr. and Mrs. Rubber came to take over the pencil town. They created an army of rubbers big small, thick thin rubbers and they decided to fight them when pencils are at work. They went to the mayor Mr. Sharpener and invited him to join their team. Mr. Sharpener was friend of the pencils. He told the pencils everything. Pencils prepared their army with long sharp pointy pencils arrows. They also invited their relatives color pencils and then the fight began. A lot of pencils sacrificed their lives for their town, many rubbers were left injured and broken and many ran away seeing the power of Pencil town. In the end the pencils won and enjoyed their victory.

I watched the movie Flash. This movie is about the fastest man. It is an animated movie. The flash is the main character and Zoom is the negative character in the movie. They both decided to have a race with each other. During each part of the racing they tried to beat each other. This was the most interesting part of the movie.

The wizard of Oz The wizard of OZ is a book from the story by L. Frank Baum that is full of magic and adventure. My favorite character is Dorothy because she is very courageous. The story gets more interesting when they went to the Emerald city where they had to complete a task.

This book gives us the lesson that there is no place like home.

The Emperor’s New Clothes The book is written by Hans Christian. It is about an emperor who loved to wear new clothes but he had a secret about his appearance which no one knew. The book is very interesting and full of humor. How the secret was revealed by the tailor he tried for the clothes was the most interesting part of the story.
