Dear Parents, A very Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you had a nice, relaxing and an enjoyable winter break with the children! An exciting and extremely productive first term just ended and we are all geared up for yet another one! Apart from striking for advancement in academic achievement, the school also nurtured students with proper attitude and values. The formal and informal curricula have developed students’ multiple intelligence and aptitude for life-long learning. I take pride in giving you a glimpse into all the interesting activities that were part of our curriculum and calendar, through this newsletter. ICT INTEGRATION A structured ICT integration has made students even more confident and independent. They can use peripheral BeeBot and operate it to reach out to the number being taught in class. They use tablets for playing educational games.

HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES S

Play-based Approach is an integral part of learning. Students learn the most when they use multiple senses. Students work in the sand and water area, do different types of hand and finger printing and even try different foods to learn about their taste.

ICT FOR THE TECHNO SAVY! Structured and monitored use of ICT cannot be undermined. It has made the little ones independent learners. EyeRis, Tabs and Beebot have added to their confidence.

CREATIVE POTTERS! Students love to create masterpieces with Clay!


KINDERGARTEN A and B Kindergarteners in the Spotlight! ELE peripherals were a part of activities which enhanced the learning. Young readers enjoyed learning diagraphs using headphones and tabs. Children interacted through Drag and Drop activities on smart board. Rising Stars Interactive Whiteboard Software played an incredible role in enhancing their digital learning.

UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY UCD was all about raising awareness about the importance of unity, kindness and an eco-friendly environment.

Kindergarteners developed their understanding of CPA (concrete, pictorial, abstract) approach through their Math and English lessons. They demonstrated their understanding of the concepts through different concrete and abstract activities.

Exploration and Experimentation The little explorers enjoyed Nature Walk and learnt about life cycle of plants. Maps and directions, especially Google Maps helped to locate the routes.

CELEBRATING GRANDPARENTS DAY


CLASS 1 A and B READ WITH ME! Reading is an integral part of our daily routine and student’s skill has developed really well.

WHERE LEARNING IS FUN! Our little chefs at work in the kitchen! They got hands-on experience of sequencing by mixing ingredients to make lipsmacking sandwiches which they shared with each other.

GLOBAL DIGNITY DAY CELEBRATIONS: WE ARE ONE! The enthusiastic learners of Grade 1 celebrated World Dignity Day and spoke about the importance of being kind, empathetic and respectful towards others.

SAFETY FIRST! Students exhibited their learning and creativity through various hand-on activities, posters and song performances.

LATEST DEVELOPMENT! Ms. Kiran Khan has taken over as Class Teacher of 1-B, replacing Ms. Narmeen Victor.

COLLABORATIVE LEARNERS Children worked together to make a science project on “Earth and Space”.


CLASS 11 A and B COOKERY CLUB

UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY

Students had fun, making yummy banana shake in their cookery club. The club focuses and promotes healthy eating habits. Our little chefs were excited, anxious and well prepared for the activity!

Universal Children's Day was celebrated with fervor on November 20 to promote international togetherness and awareness among children about their importance and rights. Students expressed their views and feelings on this special day.

A VISIT TO AN ANIMAL SHELTER An educational trip to RPK Critter Care Animal Shelter and Hospital was arranged to develop a sense of compassion and empathy for animals. Children need to understand their role in becoming a voice for the voice-less.

PIZZA TIME! Students became little chefs and baked yummy pizzas, all related to their reader “Chef Stefan”. They collected the ingredients, wrote the recipe and shared the pizza with their friends.
