Beacopmhouse School System Latifabad KG Branch, Hyderabad News- letter January 2021 NOTE FROM THE HEAD MISTRESS, The year 2020 has come to an end and so has our first term, which indeed showed us new arenas of teaching and learning. Setting examples is the moto of BSS faculty. Teachers have played multiple roles during covid-19, in building the future of our 21 st century learners and they knew how to bring out the best in their students. Let’s take a peek of the term with us.
A NEW START: This year the school began with an interesting online orientation session with parents scaffolding online learning tools and preparing them for the new normal.
HYBRID MODEL: Beaconhouse believes in facilitating our students at all times. A new hybrid model was introduced in which each individual got a chance to continue their learning, ensuring their health and safety. Special trainings for teachers were organized to facilitate the learning
INDEPENDENCE DAY: LKG staff and students promoted patriotism and national unity through different online activities. DEFENCE DAY: To keep reminding the new generation about the unforgettable sacrifices made by our soldiers and to defend the mother land, an online celebration was held in which students as well as parents willingly participated. GLOBAL DIGNITY DAY A day to take care of the environment and everyone around us was never as relevant as this year. Students of LKG have always exhibited kindness, tolerance and compassion towards all.

A unique interview prepared by the grandchildren to welcome their grand-parents.
To promote Urdu language and literature many activities were planned at LKG. Students showed their love for their mother tongue by participating enthusiastically.
IQBAL DAY: To pay tribute to the Poet of the East, the students participated in Urdu --- with great zeal and zest. MOMS IN NURSERY: To facilitate the Parents as partners for their child’s learning a Phonic session was held for the mothers of Nursery.
REGULAR COMPETITIONS: A spirit of competition teaches children the importance of taking a healthy risk instead of only doing activities that they are comfortable with. Spelling bee and general knowledge competitions for class one were held face to face to encourage students to challenge themselves.
MEETING STAKEHOLDERS: Parent teacher meeting was held level wise to keep the parents connected with the child’s progress.
MY E-BOOKS E-books have proved to be good substitute in absence of library. They are accessible everywhere and portable. At LKG we are providing student’s links to E-books to keep them connected with healthy reading habits. Students and staff dressed in colorful cultural dresses and enjoyed the day of jubilation.
