Head’s Note Dear Parents, Our mutual hard work and commitment have led to the successful completion of yet another academic year 2021-2022. The sight of our students progressing while boldly confronting all the challenges during their learning journey and adhering an abundance of achievements and accomplishments to their names has filled my heart with immense pride. They certainly have grown into fine individuals. I must admit that the entire team of LP II are my pillars of strength, and their unwavering efforts and dedication to always bring the best out of every child and nurture their holistic development are beyond praise. I am grateful to have such an incredible team who always goes the extra mile in shaping the future of our young minds. It’s gives an immense pleasure to announce that I, Anjuman Rashdi has been appointed as a Branch Head of Beaconhouse School System Kindergarten Campus, Latifabad. I had been associated with Primary II, Campus Latifabad from past 5 years and worked with diligence and devotion. By the grace of Almighty Allah I successfully risen through the ranks and InshaaAllah will give my best to the new role assigned to me.

I also feel proud to announce that Ms Shumaila Bilal has been promoted as an Additional Instructional Coach in BSS Primary ll Campus. She holds Masters degree in Commerce and has done many other courses related to EYE, BTPP, TFC and MIA which enhanced her teaching and learning practices. She has 14 years of experience in the field and has been associated with Beaconhouse from past 10 years. Her prime role is to guide and support novice teachers, plan and conduct need based PD sessions. She will also conduct model lessons and co-teach to provide high quality standards of teaching. Kashmir Day Celebrations Kashmir Day is observed on 5th February every year to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination. To pay tribute to the Kashmiri people and acknowledge their endeavours to gain freedom, the school’s compassionate students delivered passionate speeches and shared motivational quotes during in-school celebrations on 4th and 5th February 2021. Students showcased their empathy by wearing Kashmiri costumes, observed a minute’s silence, and displayed meaningful posters. Towards the end, all hands prayed for Kashmir's independence and a prosperous Pakistan.
Women’s Day 8th March 2022, the day to celebrate the epitome of beauty, wisdom and care, Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II graced its female employees with love and affection by fervently celebrating Women's Day in their honor. The branch head, herself being a woman, made her female employees feel special by appreciating and acknowledging their efforts and contribution. She made it loud and clear that women have the potential to dominate all walks of life. A 'Heart to Heart' activity planned by the head compelled the teachers to confess their love for their colleagues with whom they felt emotionally connected. Later, the teachers crowned each other with beautifully handcrafted tiaras. In the end, the school head showcased her admiration by presenting a token of gratitude to all the ladies belonging to BSS Latifabad Primary II.
Mother’s Day Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring mothers for their love and care to highlight the influence of motherhood in a society which was marked on May 9th 2022 by the students of BSS LP-II. Children venerated their mums and all of their hard work this Mother’s Day. They showed their source of inspiration by making amazing hand printed cards with messages of appreciation and greeted their mothers for all their wonderful qualities. They also shared their beautiful and lovely pictures and videos with their mums which were posted on our campus's Facebook page. School also presented souvenirs to the mother of grade 3 as a token of love and respect on their farewell day.

IKLC and IBIC Contest 2021 We take extreme pride in announcing yet another achievement of BSS LP II that our outstanding, phenomenal students Umer Noman and Muhammad Hafeez secured 1st position in Pakistan, 3rd position secured by Nehal Bakhtawar in Hyderabad District in the 16th International Bebras Informatics Contest 2021. On the other hand, Abdullah Iqbal of grade 3C secured 4th position in Pakistan and Haris Qureshi of grade 2C secured 5th position in Hyderabad District in the 18th International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest 2021. The position holders received gold and bronze medals including gift vouchers of USB, wireless mouse along with certificates. Rest of the participants received badges for securing good marks. Heartiest Congratulations to the achievers and their proud parents! The entire faculty of BSS LP II is indeed in seventh heaven. Traditional Week Celebration BSS LP II was extremely delighted to host one of the most exhilarating events of the year “Traditional games” with the supervision of P.E Sir Talha Sherwani. It was particularly targeted to strengthen the athletics of grade 2’s and 3’s. This thrilling and compelling event took place in two different days, it was scheduled on 16th March 2022 for grade 2’s and on 17th March 2022 for grade 3’s. The whole game show was divided into a variety of enthralling games both different for grade 2’s and 3’s. For grade 2’s games like Ankh Macholi and kho kho were planned. Kabbadi and Stapoo were played by the grade 3’s.100% participation of students was witnessed, each game was played with immense enthusiasm that even the audience seemed overjoyed watching the games. of the participants also graced the event with their presence and applauded their children’s efforts.
Eid Milan Party Eid is undoubtedly the festival that upholds the spirit of brotherhood and love. To celebrate the post merriment, Eid Milan party was held for both grade 2’s and 3’s on Friday 13th May 2022. It was a pleasure greeting all dressed up with their colorful Eid outfits. The environment looked festive and joyous as the students decorated their classes with buntings and balloons and happily shared their snacks with one another. The celebration involved children gleefully enjoying the fascinating games and activities planned by their teacher. Later, they were seen releasing their energy by dancing and singing to their favourite tunes in the music sessions. It was quite a colourful day at Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II.

LLRC Activities Reading Competition for Grade ll Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader BSS Primary-II Campus Latifabad organized an English Reading Competition on 16th May 2022 among grade 2 students from all the sections. Art of Story Telling
LLRC plays a vital role in encouraging students to strengthen their speaking and listening skills. To enhance these skills in students, BSS Primary II took great pride in hosting an extremely amusing and exciting storytelling session. It was planned separately for grade ll and lll from 12th to 15th April 2022. Students were seen enthusiastically engaged in their week-long LLRC activities. Grade lll presented tableaus on “Akbar and Birbal” and “The selfish giant” and Grade ll acted on story” Too many candies” and performed role play on “Monster in the Cupboard” as a part of their reader.

LLRC Activities Elocution Competition by Grade ll
Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. BSS Primary-II Campus, Latifabad had arranged an English Poem Elocution Contest on 28th April 2022 among grade II participants. New Year Party The students and faculty of BSS LP II welcomed the year 'Twenty twenty-two' by hosting a New Year Party in its honour with great exhilaration. The party announcement alone caused quite a stir among the children, and they stayed profoundly engaged in deciding their outfits and party food to share with their friends till the arrival of the event. The celebration witnessed an unusual sight of the children, where each one of them was wearing a happy face. Children were over the moon as they munched on their favourite sweets, snacks and delicacies with their classmates. The teachers planned various fun-filled educational activities and entertaining games that made students bounce off the walls making their day unforgettable and fun-filled.

Earth Day Activities Debate Competition by Grade lll 22nd April 2022, the time of the year to celebrate our home planet- Earth, the third graders of Beaconhouse Latifabad Primary II honoured Mother Earth by passionately participating in the English Debate Competition organized by the school. The topic of the debate, "Are Humans the Biggest Enemies of Mother Earth?" provided students with an opportunity to identify if we humans are to blame for the damages caused to the planet or not. Participating in it were 18 courageous students from different sections of grade 3, half of whom strongly saw humans as the greatest enemy of the Earth, while the rest saw humans as innocent! As a result, students realized the consequences of certain human activities that are detrimental and harm nature and many species it nurtures. Also, they pondered upon the ways to prevent pollution that threatens the lives on Earth. Besides, the contest also helped students build confidence and enhance critical thinking. The school felt honored to have the school coordinator of Beaconhouse Latifabad Secondary Branch, Ms Saadia Mujtaba, and the school coordinator of Beaconhouse Latifabad Kindergarten branch, Ms Qurat-ul-Ain Qureshi, as the jury. The three lucky students who won the judges' heart through their outstanding debating skills and hence BSS STAR DEBATER AWARDS were: 1st Position

Earth Day Activities Poster Making Plantation Drive Earth Day is celebrated annually on 22ndApril 2022 to promote global awareness about Environmental Protection and conservation. For this purpose BSS LP-II has arranged a plantation activity to enhance knowledge and love for plants in our students of grade 2. Children explore different kinds of plants and record their observations on a plant booklet, including its height, color, type and shape. Along with this, the young artists of LP-II also designed Earth Day conspicuous souvenirs for themselves using their artistic skills. Summer Camp 2022 We feel great contentment to take initiative to start the Summer Camp Program this year. We had a great response from BSS and non BSS students, as well. We offered different activities; like: Gymnastics, Games and Exercises, Art and Craft, Music club, Reading and Speaking club and Canvas painting along with Embroidery and Stitching classes. Most of these were happening in the air conditioned rooms, for the first time ever in Hyderabad. These classes are enchanting for the participants as well as for the trainers. We foreshadow the same in the future too.

Spring Fiesta
BSS LP II took great pride in organizing one of the most enthralling programs of the year, “Spring Fiesta” on the 12th March 2022. Students of LP II celebrated the onset of spring with the usual devotion. It was such an entertaining and delightful evening, completely filled with an aura of festivity. The whole program was divided into a variety of enthralling segments happening outdoors like dance performances, PT displays, singing and Urdu mushairas. The school also arranged some food, drinks and dessert stalls to stir up the excitement in the festival. There were also different stations set up indoors of the school like Arts and Crafts, English literacy, Urdu darban-e-saltanat, Science pedantry zone, Math games corner etc.

Annual Concert Annual Concert held for grade 3s on 26th May and 27th May 2022 for grade 2s. Students of LP-II dazzled in their Annual concert. It was a great learning lesson of hard work, commitment and gaining confidence for the students to face the audience with their mesmerizing performances. Each and every child was encouraged to show their talent and skills while performing Role Plays on fairy tales theme, actively participated in moral and fiction stories, dance performances and talent hunt.

It was a wonderful experience for us during the 2021-2022 session. My family moved to Pakistan from abroad. My children (Abdul Hadi and Hadiya) are not well conversed in Urdu, but with dedicated support from the Beaconhouse team and especially the class teachers’ efforts, they have learned well. School branch head Ms Anjuman Rashdi helped us immensely in settling in all the way. All the teachers and administrative staff were very thoughtful and caring. They supported us in all aspects as and when requested. Kudos to all the Beaconhouse team for their dedication and kind support.
