USEFP Competitive College Program We are proud to announce that two of our bright students from A levels: Manahil Fasial and Bilal Panezai were selected for

the US Education College Cohort 21. They are the first students from Balochistan to enter this cohort .

The students of BCCJ visited the Assistant commissioner Quetta Miss Humaira Baloch to talk about the importance of female education in Balochistan. Students were given an in-depth overview of the situation of female education in the province through statistical data and graphs of the latest projects. Ms. Humaira Baloch appreciated the initiative of the BSS students to work on developing awareness on importance of female education in Balochistan. Students presented 500 books on behalf of BSS Juniper Campus .

Teacher’s Day

As we reach end of the current academic session, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation, and gratitude to you all for your continuous support in the school activities and programs. It was a challenging year in terms of the pandemic but we successfully managed through it by being responsive and maintained a safe and happy school environment for the students. This facilitated the students to focus on their learning and grooming. We would also like to thank our young students for all the warmth, memories and learning that we have shared through this school year. Earth Day Celebration To develop awareness about conservation of environment among our students Earth Day activities were planned. Open discussions on global warming and climate change were done and students wrote pledges and made posters to save their planet. Grade 2s spent the day planting for the greener tomorrow.

“SHAIR KI SHADI” Students of KG actively participated in the role-play at the culmination of their reader.

End of the year party

Students celebrated Teacher’s Appreciation Day. They recorded their messages to pay tribute to the teachers and presented them as a token of love and appreciation during the online class, later students left their appreciative notes on the padlet wall.

Budding Speakers Grade 2s took the podium and spoke confidently during the Extempore Session on ‘Wonderful Water’. They took one and half minute each to speak in front of their peers on the topics of how to save water and how the water cycle works. The students presented commendable ideas. Back to school The young Beaconites were excited to join school back in March after a long break. The students were engaged in different ice-breaking activities, such as, writing notes and making resolutions for the new year.

Mother’s Day On mother’s day, students made beautiful cards and wrote heartfelt notes online. They also gifted their mothers decorated jars as a token of love!

Early Years/Lower Primary LEMONADE PARTY Students of Pre- nursery had a fun filled lemonade party. The aim of the activity was to familiarize the students with the letter “l” in a fun way.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

Through this environment friendly activity, students of pre-nursery developed awareness about the importance of plants in our environment and learnt about plant growth.

The graduation ceremony of Kindergarten was held on June 28th,2021 to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our passing out class of 2021.

SHADOW TRACING This aids the students to explore and experiment with various light sources based on evidence. This activity of classes nursery elucidated the concept of light to the students.

PUPPET SHOW A puppet show was also organized on the theme of “My Family” where students made Puppets in their art class and then articulated a story with those puppets. They also sketched their family members and made Photo frames for their pictures.

READING QUEST Students of Nursery B participated in an inter school reading quest which was held online by BSS Valencia town Branch Lahore. Our students exhibited good reading skills and got certificates of participation. Culmination of the reader 'Jacob O'Reilly wants a Pet'

Kids Athletics The Classes 1 and 2 took the sports field with high spirits in the last week of June. Houses actively competed in Formulae Race, broad jump and over head throw. The winners of the races were awarded certificates. The early years students had a series of novelty races; their enthusiasm was evident through their active participation.

Students of KG class talked about their favorite pet animal in their online class and they differentiated between pet and wild animals by making beautiful posters.

Culmination of the reader “I do not eat the color green” Students brought green fruits and vegetables and discussed their health benefits. Students also presented informative facts related to green fruits and vegetables.

Primary Branch Head’s Note! As we wrap-up the year and look back, I am proud to say that we as the school community of students, parents and teachers have proven to be amazingly resilient. I especially thank the parents for their support in online schooling, that facilitated us to provide continuous learning opportunities to our students. I must appreciate my teachers for embracing the change, for acquiring new skills and tirelessly delivering in these difficult times and for providing exciting opportunities to the students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Global Dignity Drawing Activity Global Dignity Drawing Activity How does your dignity feel?” shared on BSU classroom. An online activity done from home and submitted to the Global Dignity Organization. We believe it is critical for children to understand dignity and how it impacts the way they see themselves and treat others. When kids use dignity principles, they gain self-confidence, can resolve conflict and create a positive school culture.

Mother's & Father's Day Celebrations Month of May began with the students paying tribute to their parents by making very creative pop-up cards, using their creative skills and dedicating poems with loving thoughts and messages for them. The art activities in the month of June revolved around creating Father’s Day greeting cards. Students presented their beloved Fathers with cards.

Urdu Spelling Bee Competition An interesting contest of Urdu spelling bee was held for classes 6, 7 and 8. Objective was to enhance student’s Urdu vocabulary. Winners were awarded certificates.

Earth Day Earth day is celebrated to develop students’ understanding of their environment. Students participated by submitting write ups, poems, recorded videos of songs, pictures of planting seeds and making posters.

O-Level & Matric Head’s Note What a year this has been and how school life has changed from past one year. As always, our students, staff and parents have shown great resilience and support for all the changes that have been faced. We have still ensured that we ended the year with our normal festivities – like academic, extra & co-curricular activities and students were given exposure to participate both physical and online competitions. I would like to wish best of luck to our current grade 11 th Students, as they will be appearing in CAIE Examination 2021 by the end of July. Urdu Essay Writing Competition An Urdu essay writing competition was held on 5th June 2021, by Urdu debating society, in which various students of O & Matric Level participated. An Inter-school ‘Hard Talk’, online panel discussion was held on 3rd June, 2021, for students of Beaconhouse from all over the country. The qualified students from Juniper campus were: Wareesha Khalid (9CJ), Zarah binte Ahmed (9CB) and Maira Jahangir (9CB). The topic they debated on was “Do international organizations like United Nations, World Trade Organizations, International Monetary Fund etc. act as lobbyists for first world countries?” It was a moment of pride for our students to speak on such a huge platform.

A LEVEL PROGRAM Head’s Note “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education” – Martin Luther King We are thankful to our parents for playing a supportive and effective role in ensuring students don’t lose touch with studies, whether they were in physical classes or attending online lessons. The dedication and hard work of A-level faculty remained unflustered, despite the challenges of the pandemic throughout the year. For this, I would like to thank my teaching staff. As we close for summer break, it is an ideal time to spend with your family and to cherish simple things in life. Charity Drive, We at BCCJ want our students to become caring and kind human being and teach them to become generous adults who give to causes they care about. BCP A levels students involved our early year students in conducting story telling sessions followed by Ice Cream Day. The funds raised through these activities were used to buy Eid clothes for children in a local orphanage.

Polio Awareness Session by WHO: A team of doctors & experts from WHO conducted a training session on Polio virus for students of BCP at the college campus. Their presentations involved the students in discussions through a variety of activities to develop understanding and awareness amongst them about the polio virus. The students participated actively and expressed their views on the prevalent issue. They found this training session very useful and pledged to play an active role as Polio Ambassadors in eradication of Polio Virus from our region & the country.

Tree Plantation Campaign The benefits of planting trees go beyond just food security and nutrition. Trees also provide shade along with contributing towards improving local biodiversity. The students of BCP Juniper took responsibility and planted “Quetta Ash’ trees all over the college campus. We are very thankful to BUITEMS for donating 25 saplings of Quetta Ash to Beaconhouse. These trees will act as a symbol of environmental protection and sustainability.

International Student Week In Germany Spozhmei Tareen student of A Level (2020-2022) has successfully enrolled herself in The “International Student Week in Ilmenau” (ISWI) Germany. She is the first student participant from Balochistan to have enrolled in ISWI 21. The theme for this year program is ‘Our future is our responsibility: THERE IS NO PLAN(ET) B.'

Women’s Day,

BCP celebrated Women’s Day by conducting motivational session with middle and primary section. The students highlighted the contribution of the distinguished & influential women such as: Hazrat Khadija, Benazir Bhutto, Bilqees Eidhi and Malala Yousafzai, who played a powerful role in welfare of the society & mankind.

Motivational Session-Studying Stress Exam season can bring a lot of stress and burnout, that can hinder studies. Some handy tips that can help to dissipate stress were shared with O/A level students in an interactive session conducted by A2 student Manahil Rubab. Her talk emphasized on how stress affects our mental health and well -being and how to reduce it.
