STRIKING THE RIGHT STRING: MUSIC AT BEACONHOUSE

It gives me immense pleasure to connect with you all through our School Newsletter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your encouragement and continual support throughout the term. It has been a great and eventful term for each one of us and I take pride in saying that all . students of Gulshan Primary V have worked up to their own individual potential. I believe in making school a happy and secured place where each child is given the freedom to bring in his / her own thoughts and personalities. All these students and our staff combines and makes Gulshan Primary V a place worthy to study and on this note let me extend my hand to all those who have done extremely well and to all those teachers and parents who have helped students achieved . their desired result. Healthy lifestyle habits in school help school to go the healthy route so that we can provide our students with an environment conducive to the adoption and maintenance of healthy eating habits and a physically active lifestyle. Encouraging students to inculcate healthy eating habits was one major initiative that was brought about this year. Food Inspectors to monitor students eating habits and assembly presentations to spread the awareness of benefits of healthy eating was in place. Parents, support in this regard to run this initiative effectively was of utmost importance. Sending healthy home-made food and fruits for break time and develop healthy eating habits in their children was . appreciable. Once again I thank you all and look forward to an even strong partnership in future as well. Wish you a joyful winter break and prosperous New Year.

Warm regards,

Maliha Ovais Senior Mistress Incharge

STRIKING THE RIGHT STRING: MUSIC AT BEACONHOUSE Music is all around us and an important part of everyday life. Music is a universal language with its own symbols, shapes and styles. It is the science of sound, symbols, rhythm and melody. Students of Music learn to form relationships between the discipline and their understanding of the world. Music at Beaconhouse is about letting students become fluent in the language of music so that they may analyse, manipulate, arrange and communicate information. Music has the unique ability to go through alternative channels and connect different sections of the brain.
