12890 – NATIONAL LIFEGUARD

$325.00 – NOVEMBER 13, 14, 15, 16, & 17

National Lifeguard (NL) certification is recognized as the standard for lifeguards in Canada. NL training develops the basic lifeguarding skills, principles, and decision-making process to help lifeguards create a safe and enjoyable facility. This course teaches lifeguards to prevent emergencies and respond effectively. *Prerequisite(s): Bronze Cross (need not to be current), current Intermediate First Aid w AED, & 15 years of age at time of exam. Time: 9-5pm (Each day) Attendance is 100% mandatory

12891–LIFESAVING INSTRUCTOR

$480.00– NOVEMBER 25, 26,DECEMBER 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, & 17

Registrants receive all 3 instructor certifications required to teach Swim for Life programs, Swim Abilities, and Bronze Star, Medallion, & Cross. *Prerequisite(s): 15+ years old, Bronze Cross or higher (need not to be current), & current Intermediate First Aid w AED. Time: 9-3:30pm (Each day) Attendance is 100% mandatory

WINTER 2024 12892– AEC/INTERMEDIATE FIRST AID /O2

$195.00

– JANUARY 5, 6, & 7

Comprehensive training covering all aspects of standard first aid and CPR as well as skills specific to emergencies in an aquatic setting. Participants also get certified in Intermediate First Aid with CPR -C, AED, and Oxygen Administration where they will develop the knowledge and techniques for first aid care and the use of oxygen as a supplement in an emergency care situation. Prerequisite(s): 12 + years old Time: 9-5pm (Each day) Attendance is 100% mandatory

12893 – BRONZE MEDALLION/CROSS

$315.00 – JANUARY 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, & 27

These courses are the prerequisites to the National Lifeguard Certification that is required to work at the BSRC Pool as a lifeguard. Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education - judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness. Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including learning the difference between lifesaving and lifeguarding, the principles of emergency procedures and teamwork. *Prerequisite(s): 13 years old & Intermediate First Aid w AED Time: 5-10pm (Friday) 9-2pm (Saturday/Sunday) Attendance is 100% mandatory
