Founded in 1946, Oak Hills Christian College is an interdenominational college located on the shores of Lake Marquette, south of Bemidji. The college offers 18 academic programs, such as a one-year Certificate in Biblical Studies and 11 four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, including its newest majors in addictions counseling and sports management. There also are several associate degrees available that prepare students for continuing their education at a four-year university. As part of the Student Outreach Program, students invest thousands of volunteer hours in area churches and community programs each year. This allows students to put into practice what they are learning. Oak Hills values the opportunity to partner with the community in this way. Other ministries include Camp Oak Hills, offering summer camp for kids, and the Center for Indian Ministries.
