Royal Juice Company was founded in 2018 by Samantha Royal. Sam was a local bartender in Bend, Oregon who fell in love with the art of mixology. After finding sobriety, going back to school to study alternative medicine, becoming a yoga teacher and adopting a plant-based lifestyle her juicing journey began. Sam spent the next few years as an “avid-juicer /health junkie”, the menu for Royal Juice Company was born. Royal Juice is organic, RAW, vegan, no added sugars, sweeteners or preservatives and cruelty free. The highest quality produce is sourced from our own Royal Farms and local Central Oregon farms. Each juice is botanically infused with Royal Remedies high grade plant extracts, chosen to enhance the herbal health benefits of every flavor. When inspiration formulated into a chemistry of butter, oils, salts, and aromas for the senses. I’ve long retreated to a place of calm with aromatherapy. My projects in college often addressed the benefits of essential oils in conjunction with nursing. While working as a pediatric nurse, I became interested in self-care for health care workers. The more we are able to care of ourselves, the better we are able to take care of others.

Milkweed Seeds for Monarchs
& A Pollinator Garden Guide from Deschutes Land Trust

Deschutes Land Trust launched a Monarch Butterfly Conservation Program in Central Oregon in 2018. They have distributed over 180,000 Milkweed Seeds since then & they generously gave us seeds for our Subscription Boxes for the second Spring in a row. They have been working diligently to plant milkweed all over Central Oregon including at Bend Parks & in the Old Mill District.
Monarch Butterfiles are in severe decline, their numbers have gone from 1 million recorded in the 1990s down to only 135,000 counted in 2020. Female Monarch butterflies will only lay their eggs on Milkweed seeds, as a way to ensure their offspring will be fed, so if there is no milkweed habitat around, they simply won't lay their eggs. Milkweed provides nourishment as they gobble up leaves to prepare for their transformation from caterpillar into butterflies. Invite Monarchs into your own backyard when you plant these Showy Milkweed seeds with big beautiful blossoms that bloom all Summer long.
Be careful when cleaning up old, dead leaves in your garden as you prepare for Spring Gardening, this is often an early home for pollinators. There could be tiny baby bees or butterfly larvae hiding in those mulching piles, it's best to wait until late May to remove leaf piles to protect fragile pollinators to be.
