R E C O G N I T I O N This year we honor two BHCF titans – Bill Reddersen and Jim McCarl. As former charitable foundation chairs, they have served as forceful advocates for our mission, to help those most vulnerable in the greater Bluffton community. Bill Reddersen took on the reins as BHCF Chairman in 2013. The spark for the BHCF was ignited with the first Charity Cup event held in 2008, as founders Phil and Diane Anselmo desired to reach beyond the gates and support the greater community. When the Anselmos left BHC, it was Bill, long-time member of the foundation board and grants committee, who took over as Chair, serving for six years. Bill’s charming smile and easy manner paired with strong resolve, helped steer the

foundation to exceptional levels. His astute leadership and business acumen led us where we are today, and we are immensely grateful. For those that know Jim McCarl well, it is his desire to serve the community that sets him apart, along with executive know-how, and a great golf game! Jim followed Bill as the next foundation Chair, having served as the Board of Trustees liaison to the BHCF Board of Trustees and remained Chair until his term was complete in December, 2019. Jim’s perceptive and judicious stewardship, coupled with a larger-than-life good nature, further brought the charitable foundation’s mission to life, garnering increasing levels of community support.
