Founded in 1931, it´s the oldest cooperative cellar in Portugal. On the unusual sandy soils, the vines of Ramisco and Malvasia produce unique wines. Arenae, Chão Rijo and Serra da Lua are the brands that you can find on the store. Visits by appointment only.

Mafra PALÁCIO NACIONAL E CONVENTO DE MAFRA ROYAL CONVENT AND PALACE OF MAFRA

Construído entre 1717 e 1730, é o símbolo máximo do reinado opulento do rei D. João V. A Basílica e a Biblioteca são de visita obrigatória. À imensidão dos seus corredores e espaços juntam-se as duas torres de carrilhões (98 sinos), os seis órgãos da Basílica e cerca de 36 mil volumes dos séculos XVI a XVIII da Biblioteca em estilo rocaille. Integra, juntamente com o Jardim do Cerco e a Tapada de Mafra, o Real Edifício de Mafra, classificado em julho de 2019 como Património Mundial da UNESCO. The National Palace and Convent, built between 1717 and 1730, is the maximum symbol of the opulent reign of king D. João V. The Basilica and the Library are a must visit. To the immensity of its corridors and spaces are joined the two towers of chimes (98 bells), the six organs of the Basilica and around 36 thousand volumes of the XVI-XVIII centuries of the Rocket-style Library. Together with the Cerco Garden and the Tapada de Mafra, the palace integrates the Royal Mafra Building, classified in July 2019 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
