Rodolfo Guzzo and Ricardo Rivero have traveled to almost every corner of the earth to find the best Arabian horses for their valued clients. They also train and show these jewels of the Arabian horse breed, and in the process, Rodolfo, Ricardo, their team, and their clients have earned hundreds of the most prestigeous titles and honors in the world. The U.S. National Arabian Horse Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma is one of the premier events in our industry. In 2011, Rodolfo, Ricardo, and their team presented some of the most highly acclaimed halter and breeding horses of the show; winning five sets of the coveted silver trophies, beautiful red rose blankets, and colorful championship ribbons for his clients. Rodolfo and his team are very grateful for their success and for the faith and trust of their clients and friends. Some of the horses shown by Rodolfo Guzzo at the 2011 U.S. Nationals were already familiar with the treasures awarded to such champions. When Eccentric Valentino (DA Valentino x Amelia B_Magnum Psyche x Amety B) arrived in Tulsa, he owned the titles of National Champion Futurity Colt and Reserve National Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. When he departed from the show, Eccentric Valentino took home two additional titles: US National Champion Arabian Breeding Stallion 4-5 Years and US National Reserve Supreme Champion Arabian Senior Stallion 4 Years & Over. As Eccentric Valentino was adorned with the rich, red blanket of roses, he was joined in the winners’ circle by his beautiful owner, Luciana Fasano of Fazenda Floresta in Brazil, who was glowing with pride and happiness. Luciana was very pleasantly surprised, “I was shocked when I first saw Eccentric showing himself and the confidence he had in the ring – it was like he knew he was going to win – but you never know. Eccentric was right – we got it !!! Later, at the supreme championship, I
was more relaxed and I enjoyed the class much better. Pistal was in the class, and also El Shawan was there, so I was not expecting Eccentric to win. However, I did notice the judges were looking at him quite a lot. Then I got a HUGE surprise because those judges chose Eccentric for the Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion! My meta for Eccentric is more shows, and lots of babies, because I believe that he is a very special horse!” Eccentric Valentino is indeed a very special stallion. He was sired by one of the greatest show horses of this century, the six times National Champion and sire of champions, the immortal DA Valentino. Eccentric Valentino’s dam, Amelia B is sired by Magnum Psyche, a stallion that owns the distinction of being the Leading Living Sire in Rodolfo Guzzo the World; Arabian Horse Association, Arabian Horse Data Source on November 14, 2011. Eccentric Valentino has achieved many accomplishments in the show ring, and with his rich family history, he will surely continue those achievements as a sire of future champions!

U.S. National Supreme Reserve Champion Senior Stallion, E c c e n t r i c Va l e n t i n o was embraced with joy by Rodolfo Guzzo.

Adding to Luciana’s joy was the amazing success of her younger stallion, the 2011 U.S. National Champion Two-YearOld Colt AAS-Elishah (Eden C x Sempre_Versace x Tulle El Jamaal). This is AAS-Elishah’s second national championship title! He was also crowned the 2010 U.S. National Champion Yearling Colt.This is a very rare and unusual accomplishment for such a young horse. However, AAS-Elishah is an exceptional individual who has an incredible pedigree and a family legacy of greatness that includes some of the most aristocratic bloodlines in the world. AAS-Elishah is the continuation of one of the longest sire lines of champions and champion producers in the Arabian breed: AAS-Elishah_Eden C_Enzo_Padrons Psyche_Padron_Patron_Aswan_Nazeer. The future of this gorgeous bay colt is full of promise in both the show rings of the world and with Luciana Fasano’s breeding program at Fazenda Floresta. Luciana Fasano shares the deep connection she has with her young stallion, “So, Elishah
is my special baby! I felt very excited that he was going to be at the U.S. Nationals again, but I also felt a little afraid. I felt a big responsibility to win since he was a champion last year, and to be honest, I was shocked! I think he was a little quiet compared to what he really is – but it was magical to see him win for the second time. My meta with Elisahh is that he will begin to produce good and well-balanced babies - like him! My biggest meta with him is to be Campeao Mundial! and of course, US Nationals again!!!” One of the highlights of the U.S. National Championships happened when Rodolfo Guzzo led an exotic, black beauty into the class for yearling fillies. There had been talk of this exotic beauty and her picture was on the cover of the international publication, The Arabian Horse Times. However, nothing could have prepared us for the breath-taking creature that Rodolfo presented that morning. Her name is RH Triana (ROL Intencyty x Sylviah WLF_ATA Bey Star x Kameliah). She was
bred by Robin Hood Farms and is now owned by Freeland Farm, LLC, Mr. Richard Freeland. RH Triana made history at the Nationals when she achieved a score 383 points and became the highest scoring female halter horse at the show. This historic achievement earned her the title of 2011 U.S. National Champion Arabian Yearling Filly and later, U.S. National Supreme Champion Arabian Juvenile Female 1-3 Years. Triana’s success was truly a group effort by a team of dedicated professionals, and longtime friends Rodolfo Guzzo and Keith Krichke. It is an amazing story of generosity, respect, and sportsmanship. Earlier in the year, Guzzo had attended an open house at Freeland Farm where he saw Keith Krichke. They talked about the upcoming Nationals and Keith showed Rodolfo a picture of the yearling filly he was to show RH Triana. She made a very good impression with Rodolfo and he knew several people who might be interested in her. Shortly there after, Rodolfo went to the Region 13 show to see Keith present Triana, and he brought along Freeland Farm Manager, Pam Jump, and Breeding Manager and Veterinarian, Roger Souza. When they saw Triana in the warm up area, Guzzo and the others looked at each other with
wonder, “Could this be real?” They were immediately on the phone to Mr. Freeland. Triana is a once in a lifetime filly and the other people Rodolfo had called just missed an opportunity of a lifetime to own her! It took very little time – just a matter of days – for Freeland Farm to purchase this priceless black pearl – RH Triana. The original plan had been for Keith to show Triana at nationals, but Keith generously asked Rodolfo if he would like to show the filly. Rodolfo was honored, and gladly accepted the offer. From that moment, they became Triana’s team. Keith Krichke shared his experience, “On the morning of her class, I was concerned. Triana always gave me 100% when I showed her – I wondered if she would do the same for Rodolfo. The moment I walked her out of the ready room, she threw her tail over her back and began to prance up to the ring. When I handed her lead to Rodolfo, everybody just stood back and looked at her in awe and Rodolfo led her into the ring. As I rushed to the far end of the arena to catch up with Rodolfo, I could see he was smiling from ear to ear. Triana was a star – nothing else mattered – she won the class and was awarded the highest score of the show for a female halter horse.”

Later in the week, Rodolfo took Triana back into the ring for the Supreme Championship for Juvenile Females. It was the icing on the cake! Keith was thrilled to join Rodolfo and everyone in the ring for the presentation of the trophy and roses. As they were about to leave the ring, Rodolfo reached over and handed Keith Triana’s lead. It was completely unexpected. Keith explained, “I was shocked! I felt very honored to lead such a great horse and to share this experience with Rodolfo. I have been working with
Arabian horses for more than 35 years and this was one of the most special moments of my career. I will treasure it forever.” That is the magic of Arabian horses; through them we are able to create and share special times with family, friends, and clients from around the world. For many of Rodolfo Guzzo’s clients, to breed, own, and show Arabian horses is their lifetime dream – Rodolfo’s lifetime goal is to make their dreams come true.
