Message Happy Valentines Day !! I hope you all had a great month full of love! This month Bellflower Key Club focused on showing our love through service projects like Sock Decorating and Cards for hospitalized kids. It was a great easy to give back to our community and spread love during this month. This will be the last newsletter I will complete myself, as the next newsletter will be done with the next elected Editor and myself. I'm so excited for what's to come as this term comes to an end. WHAT’S SWINGIN’ BELLFLOWER KEY CLUB! Happy February! I hope that January brought all of you so many amazing opportunities as we kicked off 2022! Progressing through February, there is still so much left to accomplish before the end of the term! I am so excited for Elections and watching all of our candidates give their speeches and/or caucus as they run for a position for the upcoming term! I am so proud and happy to see so many of you step up and want to lead the club next year! I am also very happy to announce and congratulate Kai Noah Jugo for being elected as the next Lieutenant Governor of Division 13 North! I am so proud of all of the work he has done thus far, and cannot wait to see what he has in store for the upcoming term! DCON is also very quickly approaching! District Convention is the culminating end-of-term event where we get to see all of our hard work be recognized! I hope all of you attending have an amazing time! Finally, I’d like to thank our amazing Editor Julissa Grano for this month’s issue of The Monkey Times! I hope you all enjoy this issue! Swingin’ for Service,

updates During the month of January, to bring in the New Year, Bellflower Key Club help two service events Cards for Hospitalized Kids and our Sock Decorating service event, both donated to children's hospitals in Los Angeles. We held our very own Training Conference where we further explained the roles of each officer position to better inform those who are interested in running for those positions. We were also able to attend Conclave where Kai Noah Jugo was elected as the Division 13 North Lieutenant Governor-Elect for the upcoming term! On January 17th, Bellflower Key Club attended January DCM: New Year New Green! with Division 13 North, where we were able to socialize with key clubbers from D13N and participate in a service event to earn service hours as well.

General Meeting’s
At our January General Meetings held on the 12th, 19th, and 26th, we recapped past events, reviewed old business as well as new business, promoted upcoming events on the club and division level, and heavily encouraged members to register to run for an officer position.

January DCM In order to properly SWING into the new year, division 13 north held its january dcm at Don Knabe Park Regional on january 17th. It consisted of many important updates and a little bit of rain but most importantly, super fun bonding! The division got to enjoy pizza and drinks with all of the members. Later we moved on into reflecting on the past year of 2021 and planning out our goals for the upcoming year of 2022. It was super fun to hear everyone’s growth and what they planned to do this year to grow even more! It really showed our new year, new green mentality!

CONGRATS KAI !
On Saturday, January 22nd, Division 13 North gathered with the rest of Region 8 at South Gate Park Auditorium to witness the election of D13N’s next Lieutenant Governor. I had the opportunity to help run registration prior to the start of Conclave, and it was so exciting to see so many members gather together for this special event. Once Conclave started, our division was first to hold candidate speeches and caucus. It was so exciting and inspirational to listen to each candidate as they shared their platform and plans if elected as LTG. In the end, the delegates did a great job being so courteous and allowing voting to go by smoothly. I want to congratulate Kai Noah Jugo for being elected as Division 13 North’s next Lieutenant Governor-Elect! I cannot wait to see what Kai will do as LTG next term !

On Friday, January 20th, Bellflower Key Club got their markers and came together to decorate socks and make cards that will be donated to children's hospitals in Los Angeles. This was a great way to give back to the community and show some love as the month of February rolled in.

On January 27th and 28th, Bellflower Key Club held their very own Training Conference for those interested in running for an elected position this upcoming term or for those planning on running in the future. It was a great way to inform members of what each officer does behind the scenes, better preparing them for their potential future roles. 14
