Hey everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this month’s newsletter! We had a great month of service and fun! As we settle into this new term it’s great to see new members participate in service events and meeting and we are so thankful to have member participation! We hope to have even more member participate for the month of June!! I hope you all did well on your finals and AP exams, I know it was a rough few weeks of testing but we got through it and now it's time for summer! Have an eventful summer full of fun, but also staying safe and responsible at the same time. Thank you, and HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!! :D Swingin’ for Service,

WHAT’S SWINGIN’ BELLFLOWER KEY CLUB! Happy first day of summer break! I want to congratulate you all for closing this school year off strong! Congratulations to the Class of 2021 for graduating! Thank you for your time as key clubbers, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! We have already accomplished so much within the first two months of the term! I am so proud of the progress we have made as a club! School has ended, and you know what that means?! That’s right, summer service! Please take this month to serve your communities, whether it’s through participating in our home club events, division events, or personal service projects you embark on your own! We have so many events and projects planned for the summer, and I hope you all stick with us and help us reach our goals! Please stay active and updated on all of our platforms, and I hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter! Swingin’ for Service,

For the month of June, Bellflower Key Club took a part in multiple service events and fundraisers. We attended Minecraft MAYhem DCM, hosted our Teacher Appreciation Week service project, AAPI Heritage Month infographics service project, Biking Weekends, and more! We also hosted our second general meeting, and participated in division events as well. While the school year is officially over and summer is now upon us, our board is making sure to provide you all with amazing events to participate in throughout the summer! We hope you participate in all that is coming up for the month of June!

At our second general meeting of the term, we discussed upcoming events and service projects. We also recognized our Member of the Month, and had an AP support box for words of encouragement during testing season. We also played a game of Scattergories where members collaborated to try and win as a group! 6


We had so much fun at Minecraft MAYhem DCM with Division 13 North! At DCM, we participated in a few icebreakers and games, participated in a fundraiser, and the Division Leadership Team was announced! Our very own President Rogelio Acosta was announced as the Division News Editor! Our Service Vice President Elize Dizon was also recognized as Officer of the Month.

We kicked off the month of May with our Teacher Appreciation Week service project. Members were able to participate in a different service project each day throughout Teacher Appreciation Week. Check out some of our members’ creations!

May was National Bike Month, so to celebrate, we hosted our Biking Weekends service project. For every weekend of May, members logged their miles bikes on Charity Miles to raise money for charity!

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Bellflower Key Clubbers made infographics to educate themselves and others on what AAPI Heritage Month is and how we can celebrate it Here are some of the infographics they made!

The month of May was Mental Health Awareness Month, so to shed some light on mental health, Division 13 North hosted an infographics service project where members create infographics spreading awareness on the topic of mental health! Here are some of our members’ infographics!

We had an amazing turnout at this month’s Tastea fundraiser in Artesia on May 21st. We had support from other Division 13 North schools as well, and it was a ton of fun getting to interact and raise funds for PTP! 12
