MARCH 2022 ISSUE
Message Congratulations! We have officially reached the end of the 20222023 term! For all of our new members, I hope your experience in Key Club this year was amazing, and I hope you continue to serve for future terms as well. This term was not easy, we started off virtual, then later had to readjust to a in person setting. Nonetheless it was an incredibly successful term, and we owe a large part of that success to the best prez out there, Rogelio Acosta! He was always on the Key Club grind LOL. It has truly been an honor serving as your Editor this term and I promise you’ll be in good hands for the upcoming term, Emily is great at what she does and there's no doubt in my mind that she’ll provide you all some great newsletters! As you can tell by the color theme for this month, this newsletter is dedicated to the senior board members, they all did so good in keeping the club running smoothly and they’re overall such genuine kind-hearted people, love you guys! Thank you all for an amazing term, and I hope the next terms are even more amazing! <3

What’s Swingin’ Bellflower Key Club! For the last time this term, welcome back to our club newsletter for the 2021 - 2022 term! I am beyond proud and humbled to have served as your President this term! The work our club has dedicated to service and our community has been second to none, and I hope you were all able to create some long-lasting friendships and memories throughout it all. As you all prepare to embark on the next Key Club term while finishing off the school year, I encourage you all to continue to remain active members and support the board-elect to the fullest! They have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming term, so please welcome them with open arms! These last three years in Key Club has brought me some of the most fulfilling memories of my high school journey. I have been able to meet so many new people and serve my community all throughout it. Finishing my last year off as President has opened my eyes to the impact one club can truly make in our community, and it has been evident all throughout the term. I wish this club and all of you the best as you embark on the upcoming term! Finally, I’d like to thank our amazing Editor Julissa Grano for this month’s issue of The Monkey Times! I hope you all enjoy this issue! Swingin’ for Service,
Bellflower Key Club President

Bellflower Key Club hosted our highly anticipated and immensely successful Blood Drive with the help of the American Red Cross on March 4th. With the help of our own members as well as students and staffulty at Bellflower, we were able to have 83 presenting donors who helped us reach our 88-unit goal. There was so much support from our administration, ASB, and students eager to help us reach our goal. At the end of it all, we were able to save 264 lives through our Blood Drive alone! I am so grateful that Bellflower Key Club was able to coordinate and host an event as special as our Blood Drive to close out the term! -Rogelio Acosta

What is swingin’ BKC! It has been an honor to serve as your President this term! I never thought I’d ever serve as President, but doing so has been the most fulfilling experience! Being able to witness all of YOUR dedication and commitment to service this term has truly inspired me to fulfill my duties each and every day. None of our accomplishments would have been possible without the efforts from all of YOU, so I am extremely grateful for having this opportunity. I am confident that next year’s board will take our club to new heights, and I am excited to see where this club will be a year from now. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your President! Thank you to the board and club members that made this term so special and memorable! I hope everyone was able to gain something from this term and joining Key Club!
Anaiah Grant, Communications V.P MY favorite event from this term would have to be the Winter Social the Vice Presidents did at bellflower. It was such a fun day filled with laughs and whipped cream. The officers ambit pied in the face but it was all worth it #savethebabies
Amy Bella Gonzalez, Historian
My favorite event for our term was the September DCM, when we were the hosts of the Photo Booth. It was my very first DCM and it was so much fun. I love meeting new people and getting to know others. I enjoyed being Historían and publicizing events for Bellflower Key Club and I can’t wait to see what the next board accomplishes.
