President’s Message As we approach Christmas, we get to reflect on the first half of our Lions year. We have given away over $29,000 plus individuals through Health and Welfare. We have helped many people locally including our Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Breaking Down Barriers, The Salvation Army, Kinette Club Toy Drive, The Canadians Wasaga Beach Soccer and Wasaga Beach Minor Hockey. We also supported Dreams Take Flight, CNIB Barrie, Canadian Council for the Blind Curling Tournament and Lions Club International Foundation (Phillipines) Near and dear to us is when we can support all 5 Lions camps – Bob Rumball Camp for the Deaf, Camp Huronda (juvienile diabetes) , CNIB Lake Joseph centre (for the blind and visually impaired) , Lions Camp Kirk Foundation (special needs) and Camp Dorset (dialysis Camp) We have also helped individuals in need. This included eye glasses, stair lift, scooter batteries, partial dentures and a Life Skills trip for special needs children. We have also had some fun along the way with our Breakfast with Santa. We made over 300 families happy meeting Santa, having photos taken with Santa, and of course enjoying Pancakes and Sausages. The smiles were on their faces, but they were also on ours. Finally, we had our largest Lions Christmas Dinner since I have been in this club. Over 50 Lions and spouse/guest, enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner provided by Taste of Paradise and video dance by the Groove Tube. Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas!
