British International School Riyadh (BISR) is heading to the BSME U15 Games! We are not just playing for wins, we are learning and growing along the way. Every race teaches us to be strong, every high five makes new friends, and every cheer makes us one big team. We will bring home more than trophies; we will bring back lessons about teamwork, respect, and meeting new people from different places.

The British School of Kuwait (BSK) traces its origins to 1978 when Mme Vera and Mr Sadiq Al-Mutawa established a small kindergarten which became known as The Sunshine School. Currently, there are over 3200 students from Reception to Year 13 at BSK. They come from more than 70 countries and follow the National Curriculum of England through to GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A Level qualifications. BSK is a founding member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), a founding member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a founding member of the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) and a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). Physical Education and Sport play an integral role in developing the schools vision of providing a world class British education. Continued hard work and dedication to practice has brought about success in recent BSME competitions, recently winning bronze in the 2023 U19s BSME Volleyball competition, alongside achieving medals in basketball, football netball and individual athletics events and even winning the U13 BSME Volleyball competition in 2019. This year’s team hope to continue this success and are looking forward to a top weekend of sport. This is the first BSME games for some students with a mix of experience for others, they are all very excited and thrilled to be a part of the BSME sporting family. The enthusiasm of the BSK students will echo through the venues. We are very excited to be here in Abu Dhabi for this prestigious event in 2024.

The British School of Al Khubairat was founded in 1968 and built on land generously donated by the founding president of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and BSAK has been at the heart of the Abu Dhabi community ever since. The School is under the ongoing patronage of the British Ambassador and is sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the current President of the United Arab Emirates. In 2019 the British School Al Khubairat was extremely proud to celebrate its 50th Year Anniversary. The British School Al Khubairat are thrilled to be once again competing at the BSME Games. The BSAK U15 team have worked extremely hard to prepare for the BSME Games with the support of their parents and teachers. The BSAK team are very excited to join up with the teams from around the Middle East to make new friends, share experiences and make lasting memories.

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi opened in September 2014, and is the sister school to the prestigious Cranleigh School in Surrey, UK, which was founded in 1865. We draw on over 150 years of educational excellence from Cranleigh UK and have infused it with Middle Eastern culture to create something truly unique to the region. Cranleigh Abu Dhabi sits at the entrance to Saadiyat’s emerging Cultural District in keeping with the school’s motto, ‘Ex Cultu Robur’ – ‘From Culture Comes Strength’. Built over seven hectares, our beautiful campus hosts stateof-the-art facilities and is situated within minutes of New York University Abu Dhabi and the magnificent Louvre Abu Dhabi, as well as the pristine Saadiyat Beach. The school offers a British international curriculum to over 1,700 pupils from more than 70 nationalities, spanning FS1 Nursery to Sixth Form.

The school serves both the local and international communities, with children from over 70 nationalities and close ties are maintained with the U.K. and with other overseas British and International schools. The New English School is a member of the European Council of International Schools and is accredited by British Schools in the Middle East. In 2011 the school also achieved British School Overseas status, approved by the UK Government Department for Education and monitored by Ofsted. The New English School has an enviable academic record and is outstanding in the region. The school achieves its mission through a combination of academic and extracurricular activities. Thus, along with a broad range of academic subjects, extra-curricular activities programme spans diverse areas – drama, music, sports, the arts, crafts, technology as well as formalised programmes such as the Model United Nations the International Debating Club and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the first school in Kuwait to offer this. Our young athletes are excited by the opportunity of participating at the 2024 Under 15 BSME Games, which we are sure will be a fantastic event for all involved.

Park House English School is excited to attend the U15 BSME games for the first time ever. Founded in 1994, Park House has a long sporting heritage and continues to provide opportunities for students from nursery to year 13. The secondary school participates in QUESS (Qatar United English Speaking Schools) tournaments and leagues, which take place across the country. Park House also won the BISQ (British International Schools Qatar) games in March 2020. Our secondary school took part in the U13 BSME games in January 2023 and the U19 BSME games in November 2024. They had an amazing time and now it is time for our U15 team.

The British International School, Jeddah was established in 1977 and is now one of the largest international schools in Saudi Arabia. After the last event the scores will be added up to provide final places which will be announced at the awards ceremony prior to the Gala dinner. Combined points across all sports will be added to award the winning school. In the event of tied points there will be a count back and the school with the highest podium finishes will be awarded the championship.
