The Bishop Miege Foundation was formed as a separate 501(c) (3) in 1992 with the purpose of securing the long-range viability of our school. Since then, Bishop Miege High School students and families have greatly benefited from having the unique two-board structure by utilizing the leadership and commitment of a broad range of members of our school community that serve the two-board structure: The Foundation Board and the High School Board of Trustees (which focuses primarily on the complex operations of the school.)

Five Foundation members (known as “Men in a Tub”) formed an LLC, “Friends of Miege” and agreed to borrow enough money to purchase the Old Mission High School on behalf of Miege until the school could raise the funds to puchase it from the members.
In August, 2007, Don & Patty Kincaid donated the North Campus property after taking over and paying off the bank note.

Future Pledges
In 2000, Bishop Miege acquired the land and facility now known as the North Campus. The land is utilized as practice facilities for soccer, football, softball and baseball. The facility contains our second gymnasium and is utilized by our Robotics squad, wresting and dance/cheer teams as well. The rental income generated annually from two tenants more than covers all operational expenses of the property.
In 2003, the Chapel was renovated to enhance the sacred space while providing students opportunities for prayer, worship and reconciliation.
The stained glass window is entitled in Latin Duc in Altum, to “put out into the deep.” Inspired by Saint Pope John Paul II’s Great Jubilee letter in 2000.
In gratitude to the countlessfriends who by their kindness and generosity have made these accomplishments possible.
Raise $1.7 M in BridgetotheFuture pledges for the endowment to reach sustainability
Annually raise $600K from unrestricted fundraisers to support high school operations
Because of the foresight and vision of seven members of our school community, and with the consent of the Johnson County Pastoral Region, the Bishop Miege Foundation (BMF) was formed in June 1992.
