microchip. In some locations it requires 6 months or more lead time to mitigate or decrease terminal location quarantine at owner’s expense. There are USDA accredited veterinarians who can sign your pet’s required documents.

All pets living on-post must be registered with the VTF upon arrival. If you are planning to live on the installation, there may be a limit of how many and breed of pets allowed, for more information call Fort Bliss Family Homes at 915-564-0795.

The VTF offers many types of routine care services, however, due to limited man-power and resources, most veterinary emergency cases are best served through a full-service civilian veterinary hospital.

Additional services provided at the VTF are wellness exams, vaccinations, microchip implantations and sick call appointments – as long as a veterinarian is available upon appointment. There are X-Ray and ultrasound capabilities available. Other services provided are spays, neuters and dentals for dogs and cats.

The Veterinary Treatment Facility is located at building 6077 Carter Road. For more information about services or to schedule an appointment, call 915-7422266.
