Assisting Soldiers & Families in many ways

Fort Bliss Army Community Service (ACS) leads the Army in providing many quality services to assist Soldiers and their Families. By developing innovative programs and continually checking the well-being of our Soldiers, ACS sets the standard in assisting Families in periods of crisis and providing valuable information. ACS programming is found in three locations on Fort Bliss: Main ACS, Family Resilience Center (FRC) and Survivor Outreach Services (SOS). Relocation Readiness

Moving is a part of life for Soldiers, civilian government employees and their Families. The Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program is here to help with a comprehensive support system, whether it’s your first move or the last of many. There are all kinds of information and resources to help you and your family navigate your next military move. The Relocation Readiness event to watch out for is Bienvenidos á Bliss Relocation Fair in August. Lending Closet (ERP)

Did you know Fort Bliss has a lending closet? The lending closet is stocked with basic household items to use before your household goods arrive or after you have packed for your new assignment. Items may be borrowed for 30 days. All you need is your ID card and a copy of your PCS orders. Immigration Services

The El Paso Office of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) are available to discuss immigration issues, filing instructions and questions by appointment only.

Appointments are 30-minute phone consultations and are scheduled for every Tuesday. To schedule an appointment, service members and Family members (any DoD ID cardholder) can call ACS. Employment Readiness Program The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) offers resources to help with your career plan and job search. Whether you’re a military spouse or Family member who just moved to Fort Bliss, Retiree, or DoD civilian looking for new opportunities, or Active-Duty Military, active Reserve, National Guard member, or Soldiers in Transition (ST), they are here to help. There are various services provided by ERP such as up-to-date information on local, national, and international employment opportunities, job market trends, education and volunteer resources. There are classes and seminars on selfassessment, career exploration, résumé writing, interviewing techniques, dressing for success, networking, and entrepreneurship. ERP can help with résumé critiques, career counseling and individual career assessments. They host job fairs and other hiring events throughout the year including teen/youth employment information.
