Explore all of Fort Bliss’ many physical fitness centers (PFC) that are available to you. The largest location is Joshua W. Soto PFC. This state-of-the-art, 96,000 square foot gym facility has treadmills, stair steppers, ellipticals, spin bikes, rowing machines and more! They are known for the indoor track and the largest free weight room in the Army.

The fitness fun doesn’t stop there! Soto is just one of the PFCs on post; there are four others with similar amenities but in different sizes. If you are looking for one close to home, you’ll find a PFC close by no matter where you live on post. Mitchell W. Stout PFC and Ronald D. Milam PFC* are located on main post off Cassidy Road, Biggs PFC is in central Fort Bliss near the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center while Logan Heights PFC is conveniently located off post as you head to

recreational

Northeast El Paso. All of these locations have what you need from racquetball, volleyball and basketball courts to indoor and outdoor tracks.

Just looking for a hot sauna to relax and soothe your sore muscles? Aside from Milam PFC, all four of the other locations have sauna facilities for men and women to include the brand-new, high tech sauna at Stout PFC. Visit any one of these facilities and get a feel of what you like. Ironworks Gyms

Now, maybe traditional gyms are not your style, if that’s the case, try Ironworks East or West. These gyms are designed for a more mission-side type of fitness. They are set up for Soldiers who have a particular way of training for the mission. The Ironworks facilities are open to all DoD ID cardholders.

Tennis Center & Fitness Zone If these locations are still not your cup of tea,

Tennis Club and Fitness Zone is a quiet, little place sitting right behind Sheridan Road. Here you’ll get the necessary workout with a little less “noise.” If you’re into tennis, this is the perfect place to be with five lighted tennis courts that are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and two practice courts. Lessons are available for adults and kids.

Aquatics If swimming is more appealing, Fort Bliss has four pools for water fun. There are two main pools that will fit your fitness needs, while the other two are more for fun in the sun! The Community and

Soldier Activity pools are the seasonal recreational type. However, Community Pool does have lap lanes and a slide! The Aquatics Training Center (ATC) and Replica

Pool have a lot to offer from their indoor Olympic size lap pools to ATC’s family pool with a waterfall and climbing wall. Replica also has a fun indoor slide and you’ll be sure to get the laps and/or fun you want and need. Adults can use the ATC and Replica for swimming lessons.

Children can also learn to swim at these facilities through the SKIES CYS program. Other times patrons are doing laps, enjoying the multi-purpose pool with their children, or attending one of the family friendly events. The one thing that differentiates the ATC from Replica is that ATC is a military training facility too, while the other is mainly for recreational purposes.

ATC offers Combat Water Survival Training (CWST) and Shallow Water Egress Training (SWET) for Soldiers throughout the year. Their doors are open to all service members and local diving teams to use the facility for their personal use or mission trainings. Intramural Team Sports

If you’re looking for a little competition amongst units or friends look no further than the Fort Bliss MWR Intramural Sports program. The program consists of 41 leagues and is divided into the Commander’s Cup program, open leagues and special events. If you are interested in playing on a league with Fort Bliss, visit Soto PFC to find out more. Follow Fort Bliss MWR Sports, Fitness & Aquatics on social media @teamblisssports.
