Miracles Are Possible For You

By Barbra White I had three diagnoses in August this year. It goes without saying that initially, I was shocked. However, I decided to stay open, to ask for help from God, and to see the Divine’s Grace in the illness.

In the initial shock, I asked limiting questions such as, “Why is this happening? I’ve been doing natural health, meditation, and regular cleansing programs…” I tried to analyze and rationalize. But ‘why’ is never a good question when faced with emotional pain or tragedy. The ego will come up with many, many, many reasons… that is usually your fault or someone else’s. The blame game. It is only after we accept the diagnosis, circumstance, or discomfort that we have access to the real ‘why’. “Seek first to love and understanding will come” –A Course In Miracles. The heart has greater wisdom than the mind.

So, I shifted from ‘why’ to “I accept this happening. I am willing to stay open to miracles.” I remained in gratitude, openness, and humility through meditation, self-acceptance, and prayer.

Nine days later, when I returned for more tests, all three diagnoses had disappeared. (Confirmed by an M.D.) Even if we wanted to rationalize that one of the diagnoses was a mistake, then that still leaves too! Miracles are available to anyone and everyone. I have had the honor and privilege of helping people open to miracles through my, Self Acceptance Process, for many years. Teaching and doing this work also keeps me aligned with receiving my own miracles.

I had already experienced a physical miracle two years ago when I fell off a motorcycle, wearing a sundress while going 45 mph, and had no scratches. I am not special. After that experience and what happened to me in August, I believe even more strongly that anything is possible if we just stay open.

Miracles are possible in the natural order of life when we stay open.

I don’t think miracles depend on whether you believe in Christ, a healing artifact, angels, Krishna, or a spiritual sign. Yes, there are all-powerful energies. I love Christ… healing artifacts of saints… spiritual signs and synchronicities, etc. That said, the entire power of the cosmos can’t do anything for you if you

don’t stay open. Faith and belief can heal anything. Healing can take many different forms. Faith is a state of acceptance and openness to greater possibility. Anything that promotes a belief in the possibility and a state of openness can invite a miracle. Miracles are waiting to come to anyone who is open.

Miracles are not really miracles. They are a natural law, divine order, or the goodness already happening. Being open to possibility sounds easy, but it’s not for us humans. Being open requires acceptance and letting go of the way we identify ourselves: our past, accomplishments, failures, roles we play, etc. All of those identification tools mean that we are all materialists. Many don’t realize how tied they are into the physical, identifying primarily or only with the third-dimensional reality. Acceptance and openness invite a realization of our true identity as consciousness or the divine—we move from focusing on ourselves as physical beings to energetic and physical, spiritual beings—we become miracle-ready. “As we accept our humanity we know our divinity”..

Why Self Acceptance Is So Powerful Acceptance of yourself creates an avenue for the greater possibility. Acceptance of your life stops the ping-pong match of resistance that keeps you trapped. Acceptance can take time.

We become addicted to our negative thinking and limitations. It is the only thing we know. Some of us don’t even realize how addicted we are to our negative thoughts.

As the ointment of Self Acceptance begins to work on you, you become willing to stay open to what wants to emerge… because nothing is hopeless. There is no vacuum where energy, life force, or the Divine does not exist. Creation or God/Goddess is not just in all things… it is ALL things. Omnipresence means this cosmic force is in your problems, pains, and everyday struggles—including triple diagnoses and motorcycle accidents!

Just like a cell in your body has DNA to make a complete you, one atom of the Universe has the framework to make a complete universe. You have all the components of Creation as YOU. Right now. You are amazing just as you are. Yes, you.

Bringing Balance and Harmony to Artistic Expression

According to The Merriam-Webster Dictionary, some definitions of balance = physical equilibrium, with mental and emotional steadiness. Harmony = pleasing arrangement of parts, congruence or internal calm and tranquility.

Aren’t most of us striving to realize more of these on a daily basis? Especially in these extraordinary and chaotic times, we are living in. Balance and harmony are an “inside job”, we know. It may happen if we wish or think about it. Yes, the intention is paramount. However, more likely, it is created in tandem, with a myriad of tools learned and incorporated, moment to moment -- tools that are deeply connected with our unique internal and external truth. They support clarity with the flow of peace and grace, even if just for a moment. The reality is… a moment is powerful, sustaining, and the basis of All. Art and its creation are a profound means to access these moments of balance and harmony. It is a genuine avenue to join/unite with others for interest, enjoyment, upliftment, and expansion. It speaks to our Soul.

How can a piece of canvas with paint, some clay, metal, or any other medium imaginable, become the conductor of these divine forces? With intention and focused energy, along with applied technique. Alchemy.

Many of us have had the experience of our thoughts manifesting in this physical world quite literally and quickly. The example of “having someone on your mind or in your thoughts” and the phone rings/texts, and it is them. We know our mind is that powerful. Why not harness these forces to create support for ourselves and our environment in unique, powerful and sustaining ways?

Who Was Ida P. Rolf and What Kind of Impact Did Rolfing Have on the World of Healing?

By Robert Auerbach Do women change the world of healing?

Before you answer that question, consider the case of Ida P. Rolf, and the tool she created, aptly called, “Rolfing”. Some years ago, Ida P. Rolf (1896 – 1979) wrote a book that changed the world and my life. The title of that book is The Rolfing Integration of Human Structures.

In this intriguing book, she describes how she worked with the structural alignment of her patients. Rolf’s book uses before and after photographs to show the results she was able to achieve with her patients.

I found the book fascinating. I resolved to do some research on this interesting and intriguing woman and her healing approach. Rolf was born in New York City, in the Bronx, on May 19, 1896. An only child, her father, Bernard Rolf, was a civil engineer who built docks and piers on the east coast.

Rolf graduated from Barnard College in 1916 with a bachelor’s degree. She was in the Mathematics Club, German Club, Vice President of the class of 1916, a member of the Young Women’s Christian Assn., was the alternate for the Graduate Fellowship while working at the Rockefeller Foundation, Business Manager of The Barnard Bulletin, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received Departmental Honours in Chemistry at graduation. In 1917, she began her doctoral studies at Columbia University, and, concurrently, Rolf also began work at the Rockefeller Institute as a chemical research worker. In 1920, Rolf earned her Ph.D. in biological chemistry.

I learned that Structural Integration is a type of manual therapy that improves human biomechanical functioning as a whole, rather than treating particular symptoms. I discovered that Rolf began developing her system in the 1940s. Her goal was to organize the human bodily structure in relation to gravity. Rolf called her method, “Structural Integration”, now also commonly known by the trademark, “Rolfing”.

Rolf was able to create a form of healing that has positively impacted not only me but countless numbers of other people.

She created this healing modality from three threads of her life’s experiences. She earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry of connective tissue. That was her scientific thread. Ida also developed a very deep yoga practice. She used some of the concepts and ideas she gleaned from this practice as a second

thread in her creation of Rolfing. The third thread that helped form her unique healing approach was her friends and family members.

From time to time, friends and family members would come to her requesting relief from their bodily aches and pains. In trying to help them, Ida used her educational and practical knowledge of the biochemistry of connective tissue. She also took her practical knowledge of yoga and its’ concepts about alignment and stretching, and combined them. She took these two threads and applied what she knew, to rid her friends and family of pain.

By combining her knowledge, insights, and experimentation with those individuals, she began to put together an approach that effectively helped give them lasting relief.

She worked on a person’s fascia (connective tissue that wraps all of the body’s muscles) then had them stand up and asked them, “How does that feel?” Then she would try something else and compare the results. As she would repeat this process over and over again, she noticed that the better her “patients” felt correlated closely with significant improvements in their structural alignment. She worked long enough until she had enough evidence to codify her work in a powerful 10 session process she called, “the recipe”.

After a period of time, she had enough practical knowledge to know what worked and what did not work. Her initial intention was not to create an alternative healing model but to help her friends and family with pain.

Soon, more and more people who heard about these results requested treatment from her. At that point, she decided to expand her ability to help people and started teaching her methods to others. In the process, she wrote her first book, documenting through pictures, the results she attained for her patients. Ida was quoted as saying, “When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through.

Then, spontaneously, the body can heal itself.”

In addition to the proliferation of practitioners and training institutes that are devoted specifically to Structural Integration, Rolf’s concepts and methods have influenced a wide range of other contemporary manual therapies. A growing number of organizations (i.e. massage therapists, chiropractors and physical therapists) offer training in, “structural bodywork”, or in techniques of fascial manipulation that are clearly derivative but lack the transformative holistic perspective of Structural Integration. These therapies focus on specific symptoms).

As I mentioned in a previous article, my research led me to seek treatment for my bodily conditions and eventually resulted in my study and certification as a practitioner of Structural Integration.

Do women really change the world of healing? Absolutely. The vision and follow-through of this phenomenal woman, Ida P. Rolf, has helped create a less painful and healthier planet through healing our relationship with gravity.

A Healthy Approach to Autumn Transitioning from one season to the next requires an adjustment in our lifestyle and food choices. With the onset of fall and colder temperatures, wind, rain, and less sunlight, it’s important that we remain grounded and maintain balance, both internally and externally.

Here are some helpful guidelines: •

Eat lots of warm soups. Choose foods that are warm, cooked, and moist. Avoid raw veggies and salads. Eat root vegetables to enhance your connection to the earth.

Drink warm tea with fresh ginger, cardamom and cinnamon, or, warm herbal teas. This will warm the body and enhance circulation and digestion.

Lights out for bed at 10:00 p.m.

Try to get eight hours of sleep and awake when the sun rises.

Schedule time for consistent, moderate exercise/physical activity. Sun Salutations will also warm the body during the chill of autumn.

•

· Curb your tendency to talk unnecessarily; practice silence/ quiet time whenever possible.

Commit to a regular meditation practice.

•

Apply oils to the skin to keep it moist, reducing anxiety, depression, fear and nervousness.

Unfortunately, nothing we earthbound types do is guaranteed to work 100% of the time but we do quite well with help from above.

Chiropractic is one of the most amazing and misunderstood things in the world of healthcare. Although hard for me to imagine, it seems that until one’s life is touched by it, chiropractic is just a word.

Chiropractic has had such a positive impact on my life that I left my career in electrical engineering to become a chiropractor. And since then, I’ve never looked back…

As a child, my eyesight was saved by a chiropractor. My parents were told that I needed eye surgery that would potentially leave me blind in one eye; but instead of scheduling surgery, they took me to the family chiropractor.

Then, while working my way through school, I severely injured my lower back on several occasions. The extent of these injuries would normally require surgery, but fortunately I was able to heal (without surgery) through a combination of chiropractic, exercise and nutrition.

There were also many family stories that led to my decision to become a chiropractor. I still remember hearing about my grandmother who was bedridden for a year with little hope of recovery. Her health was turned around by a traveling chiropractor that came through town once a week and took care of her. She lived to almost 100 years of age in good health. On the other side of my family, my grandfather was a machinist who did heavy work. He made a practice of seeing the chiropractor on a regular basis and worked on his small farm until he was in his eighties.

My parents also saw a chiropractor on a regular basis and stayed healthy and able throughout their lives. So, when people ask me, “Does that chiropractic stuff really do anything?” I laugh a bit, say “yes,” and tell them stories like these.

In the early days of chiropractic, people 14

didn’t think of chiropractic as only a remedy for sore or dysfunctional necks and backs. Chiropractic was utilized to care for every nature of illness that might befall the human frame. Later it was extended to our other vertebrate friends on the planet.

How does chiropractic work? First it’s important to understand that health declines when there is interference to the nerve flow that transports energy and data back and forth from the brain to the body. The chiropractic adjustment helps to restore this nerve flow which helps to restore health.

When large numbers of cells go offline due to injury, illness, exhaustion or lack of proper nutrition, the body cannot continue to function in the perfect manner as it was designed. While exercise and nutrition are also important, the chiropractic adjustment resets off-line cells and assists them in returning to normal functioning. This is the magic of chiropractic which helps to restore health.

Chiropractic became known for health restoration early in 1918 when the Spanish Flu wiped out a large portion of the population. Reportedly, those who were being treated by chiropractors had a nine out of ten chance of survival, much higher than any other form of treatment. As records began reflecting the beneficial influence of chiropractic care, it became recognized as a major force in health care.

Chiropractic is unique in that it can accomplish what many other forms of healthcare cannot, because it works with the body’s innate intelligence, a term coined by Dr. B. J. Palmer. This is the reason that many chiropractors, including

The body’s ability to heal itself and restore health is compromised when there is interference. In today’s world, there are many forms of interference.

Some of the most prevalent interferences in today’s world include industrial and environmental toxins. These include electromagnetic pollution (EMF’s), volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), chemical pollution in food (such as MSG and preservatives), and a host of other chemicals in the air and water.

Other interferences stem from nutritional imbalances and/or deficiencies, allergies and sensitivities, emotions and stress.

Structural interferences at joint spaces are usually due to accidents, falls, stress, tension, overexertion, or an event, such as improperly lifting something heavy.

Each type of interference must be addressed and/or eliminated in order to maintain and/or return to our natural state of health.

Although the basic principles of chiropractic haven’t changed, our world has changed. 100 years ago, there was no such thing as GMO’s and chemically adulterated food. These days we must go out of our way to find wholesome foods that provide us with adequate nutrition.

Chemical fertilizers and commercial farming practices have stripped the land of valuable minerals and interfered with healthy soil. This is why most people benefit from whole food supplementation -- and it’s often necessary to supplement specific essential nutrients to avoid going into a disease state.

Can Past-life Hypnosis Heal You?

You have probably heard about past-life regression, but do you believe that it is just to entertain or expand your horizons? If so, this is not at all true. Past-life regressions are actually performed to help people heal. Of course, it is interesting to find out who you were and what you did in a previous life, but this is not the primary reason for doing this.

Some people think that they have too much to deal with in this lifetime, so why would they want to bring another lifetime into the picture? The truth of the matter is that one can benefit greatly from doing a past-life regression.

You may be familiar with Dr. Brian Weiss; he is a psychiatrist, trained at Yale, who at first thought that the idea of past lives was ridiculous. However, he had a patient who experienced a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, fear of gagging, and relationship problems. After working with her for three years, he could see he was making no progress. So he tried hypnosis.

To his amazement, in an early session, his patient went into a past life. Dr. Weiss did not know what to make of this. However, he noticed that when she returned for the next session her health had improved significantly. Although he did not believe in past lives, he continued using the method since it appeared to be helping his patient. She continued to improve as a result of these sessions. It took Dr. Weiss a long time to finally believe it was real, but now he travels all over the world teaching people how to do past-life regression sessions.

Once she learned this, she started to heal and no longer required surgery. There are many cases of people healing when they find out that the original cause of the problem came from a previous life. Common examples include people who have a fear of water, are afraid of certain animals or have other types of phobias.

There are many other benefits, however, to doing a past-life regression. One of the greatest fears people have is the fear of death. If you have a past-life hypnosis session and find that you have lived before, you will realize that a part of you (what many call the ‘soul’) never dies, and thus, there is much less reason to fear death. To me, balance and harmony are like the saying, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” Is harmony achieved after balance or vice versa?

Balance is not a state to be achieved, because we are always in balance. It is our human nature to judge ourselves instead of consciously acknowledging it is just a guilt-free experience. Balance is a state of equilibrium because we are always slightly shifting to create homeostasis to the new.

Once you are in agreement with your thoughts, you become harmonious with the universe. Life’s situations and circumstances begin to easily and effortless flow. You are living the law of harmony and positive consequences follow. You find yourself at ease as your mind, body and spirit feel balanced.

Which comes first I’m not sure, but I feel balanced when I am experiencing harmony.

experience is priceless! However, the work of mastering emotions, thoughts and reactions is significant and can be challenging.

When I first began to live more fully in my body, I would go back and forth; from being grounded and responsible during my work hours, I would then be flying into spirit any time I was free too. But over time I became aware of how by leaving my body I was abandoning myself and I needed to be grounded to care for and protect myself. I got tired of inadvertently giving my power away and allowing others to use and abuse me. Then when my lack of attention almost took my life, I determined to make a deeper commitment to myself. I learned to be increasingly present to my own needs and to my relationships, making sure that I was in integrity on both counts, caring for what was important.

Recently I recognized that the time has come to bring the sweetness that I knew when I lived mostly in spirit, also into the places within my most earthy human self which I have been learning to embrace. It is like I have built the house of my grounded human self, so now I get to decorate it with my favorite colors, patterns, and qualities of light! When I ask in meditation – How do I do this? – what I find is that I ascend my earthiness into unity with my sweet spirit and welcome my Higher Self to be present in even the most menial of tasks and most challenging times.

I have the tools to do this, but making it an every moment adventure is new. Remembering to include my Higher Self when I am working on the computer, responding to emails, handling phone calls, dealing with the limitations and frustrations of internet systems that fail or don’t make sense and the frustrations of long waits on the phone for help… among other of life’s frustrations, makes a huge difference in my experience. Or, when reading about current events, remembering to keep a God’s-Eye-View so I don’t get caught in the old world as it is breaking down. Remembering this only happens to allow things to be reborn at a higher level in what we call the new world.

Using Crystals to Alleviate Insomnia

There are a number of reasons why people have a hard time sleeping.

Not surprisingly, stress is a big one, in addition to imbalances in melatonin or serotonin, pain, excess energy, fear, biorhythms being off, nightmares, or emotional distress. Crystals can benefit in a variety of ways to help dispel insomnia.

Amethyst and chevron amethyst are great stones for de-stressing and aiding in a restful sleep. The peaceful violet energy that amethyst emits soothes and strengthens the nervous system, calming the body and mind. For years, the residents of Salem, Oregon, have been hunting for the hidden $100 bills that appear all over the place.

Every bill is signed “Benny,” but that isn’t the mysterious philanthropist’s real name.

Residents of Salem have discovered the Benny bills almost everywhere—hidden in baby carriages, slipped through car windows, or tucked into the sleeping bags of homeless people.

Benny has given out an estimated $50,000. For many of these recipients, that $100 appeared at moments when they desperately needed the money.This act of generosity inspired the entire town to pay it forward, with some people adopting the practice on their own.

For the individuals who are lucky enough to receive a Benny when they aren’t actually in need, many citizens have given the money to charity or slipped it into someone else’s pocket.

While the original donor is a mystery, the practice quickly became a town tradition that will live on for a long time.

Happiness Rising (Part 1)

A co-worker recently asked me what I do that seems to always make me happy. It was an interesting question. On the surface, it didn’t seem like there was much I was doing. It was more a state of being. It is who I am. Nevertheless, as the question continued to roll around in my mind, I came up with the following list. In my experience, executing this list (it’s not a comprehensive list. I’m sure there are other items each of you does that helps bring you joy) will help uplift your state of being.

It is my hope that this list helps you enjoy more happiness in your life. In no particular order: 1. Make the choice for happiness. The decision to accept that happiness is a choice puts you in control. If you believe that happiness is derived from outside circumstances then you have given away your power. You become a victim of the world. Your boss, the economy, your spouse, children, politics, the weather, and everything and everyone else will control you.

Sure, having certain things or events go your way contributes to happiness. But because they are based in time, they are temporary. Remove them and the happiness affiliated with them goes away.

2. Don’t take things personally. All around us we interact with people who live from their ego. The ego’s goal is to inflate itself and put itself at the top. It needs to be right and to do so, it needs to make others wrong. The ego will attack, and when you defend, you are agreeing that you were attacked. What others do has nothing to do with you. They are projecting their thoughts onto you so that they can validate their view of the world. When you don’t take things personally and let their ego be who they need to be in the moment, there is no resistance.

Because the force of the ego has nothing to push against, the situation will be less volatile, helping you maintain your happiness. The ego doesn’t want you to be happy. When given the choice it would rather you be the victim. Resist the ego, don’t take things personally and make the choice for happiness.

our mind is a chatterbox of thousands of thoughts coming and going in a single day, our mind is never really quiet. The busy mind wears on us and makes us tired. Most of these busy thoughts are about problems, worries or things of the past. We are never really present with what is going on around us. When you took a shower today, where were your thoughts? Were you planning your day, trying to solve a problem, wondering how you are going to get it all done? Or, were you present with the feeling of the warm water caressing your body? The freshness of it? The smell of it? Being mindful places you in the present moment where life is happening. Being mindful will help stop the negative thought loops that continually play in our minds.

With less negativity, there is room for us to experience our true nature of joy and to be present to the richness of life.

It seems I have used up my allotment of words for this month but there is much more to be said on this subject. I would like to continue this dialogue in next month’s magazine with other thoughts on happiness. In the meantime, make the choice for happiness. 3. Get some exercise. It is no secret that exercise (even walking) stimulates the body’s desire for oxygen and the production of endorphins; those feel good hormones that are so delicious. Exercise, however, also clears stagnant, dead energy. Frequently, Pat and I walk, do yoga, the 5-Tibetan Rites or other exercises specifically designed to clear energy, before we meditate. It absolutely makes a difference. Exercise can also be a form of meditation. Do it and do it regularly.

4. Be Mindful. Mindfulness is being aware of where you are and what you are doing. I know you are probably saying you are already mindful, because how could you go about your day if you are not aware of where you are and what you are doing. As with everything, it is a matter of degrees. Because OCTOBER 2018

vibrational sounds that we can’t pick up through the ear. EVP’s are voices or sounds that are recorded with modern electronic equipment and often used in paranormal investigations. It truly is an eye-opening experience to hear your first EVP recording.

By Nancy Lynn The universe is a symphony of sounds, and as humans, we have been blessed with the gift of being able to experience each individual vibration and use it to our advantage. Mediums and psychics have taken this gift and use it in a higher form known as Clairaudience. The origin of the word comes from France which translates to mean ‘clear hearing’. For most mediums and or psychics, in order to be in tune with this altered state of hearing, their vibration must be at an elevated or raised state in order to listen to spirit using their ‘divine ear’.

All things in the universe vibrate; they do so at varying frequencies. Each item emits a vibrational wave that we then interpret as a sound such as people, animals, plants and more. Some of our more sensitive mediums can hear the vibration of plants. This may sound abnormal, however, they are able to tell when a plant requires more water solely based on the pitch of the frequency they are hearing.

It is said that clairaudient experiences are categorized into two distinct types: Psychic or Intuitive Clairaudience When we are referring to psychic or intuitive clairaudience, we are strictly speaking in terms of the medium or psychic who is hearing the sounds. It pertains to the use of ‘inner hearing’; mediums may hear ideas, thoughts or voices that are not directly being spoken to them. Interestingly enough, music is also a common thing to hear; one might think that this is expected given that we often have music in the background of our daily lives. We listen to the radio on our morning commute or have our favorite you-tube playlist on during a workout.

However, music can hold a significant meaning for whomever the message is intended for. Whether it is a specific song or genre -- one that the interpreter may 26

Life Lessons I Learned at Preschool

Choosing Joy

Balance and harmony are EVERYONE’S GOALS no matter how old. They bring peace and comfort when they are present, and stress and often the opposite of what we want when absent. For 12 years, I was a Preschool Director.

Below are some of the Life Lessons I learned working with parents and children.

Questions parents asked me: · My new-born never seems to sleep. I’m so tired that I can’t think straight -– how do I deal with this stage? Resting is good for you and the baby. Turn on soothing classical music (that mimics the heartbeat), breastfeed or bottle feed, and lay together in a chair that rocks or on your bed. Downtime can lead to sleep time.

Harmony, health, and peace result when we listen to our needs and act on them, taking care of ourselves ALWAYS first.

Just like a good recipe, it takes the right ingredients to produce a life filled with everything that brings peace, joy, and harmony with the world around us. It’s all too easy to get drawn into the drama of living in the physical and forget that we are the co-creators of our life experience.

· My child seems to cry with frustration and I don’t know how to help him. Read about people who are introverts and extraverts -- I learned my son was an introvert.

His first Christmas he got over-stimulated by all the noise and people. He needed to be alone quietly with me. People will tell you what they need with their behaviors. Ask yourself what was happening right before the behavior started. That is the key and where to find the answer.

Have you ever had a rough day when your outward appearance caused others to ask, “What’s wrong?” The usual reaction to such a question is to respond with a laundry list of things that are causing you to feel sad, angry or disempowered. We do this without realizing that absolutely nothing can bring us down without our allowing it to be so. No matter what is going on around you, every single moment provides the opportunity to react in ways that will affect your state of mind -- positively or negatively.

Peace comes when we truly know ourselves/others and act in congruence with who we/they are, meeting our/their needs. · Why does my child always seem to know the least opportune moment to have a meltdown? I haven’t completed a supermarket shop for weeks and I feel like everyone’s staring at me! When are you taking him/her shopping? How long are the trips lasting? What is s/he expected to do while you are shopping ...read a book, play with a toy in the cart? This is more about how you are managing the trip. You cannot expect a young child to handle a long and boring shopping trip. Set your child up for success. Make it short and keep them occupied. And never take them if they are hungry or tired. Our choices reflect the amount of balance in our lives.

Why do we tend to surrender our happiness when faced with challenging people and situations? Perhaps because it’s much easier to blame outside circumstances than to take responsibility for the way we’re feeling.

Perhaps the only role we’ve ever learned is that of a victim. Or, maybe we’re just not aware of the fact that peace and contentment are not dependant on external influences. Instead, the power to reach that peaceful state lies within us. And, when a person realizes this fact, they can begin to take control of their joy, in every situation, for the rest of their life.

· It feels like every task is a battle: brushing teeth, putting on shoes, holding hands while crossing the road – it’s all a huge fight. What can I do to show my child that these things are not negotiable? You will never win a power struggle.

Negotiate, put on a timer, play a game, make it fun. Think before acting. Count to 10 to get your sense of humor back or to put things into perspective. What is the best strategy to achieve the results you want? · My child has been toilet-trained for a while but is now having “accidents” again. What should I do? Accidents happen. Can you bring along a bag and extra underwear and make it no big deal to change? Don’t take things so personally or sweat the small stuff – AHHH…the path to peace and harmony.

ABOUT SLEEP AND PROPHETIC DREAMS

This means that we were able to see this movie before we were also able to see this situation play out in our life.

According to Interpretations Oakland County psychic medium and clairvoyant Sherrie Ellen has been a Kabbalah student for many years. She is constantly receiving many questions from her clients about the meanings of their dreams. According to Kabbalah, not all dreams are about physical reality.

Some people dream when they are awake. But we are mostly referring to the sleep state.

You are not supposed to discuss your dreams with just anyone. Kabbalists believe that you should only discuss your dreams with someone who loves you 100% and wants only the best for you.

This is because the actual interpretation of such dreams can affect how the potentiality of how a dream plays out as a reality within the physical world.

This means that you want someone who is trained on what to say, and on what not to say and offers you a positive interpretation.

There are levels of dreams. The highest one is the level of prophecy. Usually, a person that is negative does not reach this level. The way we behave during the day affects us. When we see a dream in its entirety play out scene by scene, that is also another level of prophecy.

In different parts of the world, people have different amounts of sleep hours depending on their lifestyle. But the less sleep people have, the grouchier they seem to be. When we are busy we are less tired. And when we are not busy, we are more tired. Many may notice that after coming home from what they thought of as a restful vacation of lounging at the beach, they will come home tired. Resting and sleeping are two different things. The Zohar says that the reason that people are tired is that there is a war between the good in you, and the bad in you.

If you feel good and are having a happy day, then you are less tired. The more you are angry, reactive, and upset, the more tired you will feel. People feel tired because they have a disconnection from the light. The angrier and more reactive a person is, the more tired they become.

There is only one reason for sleeping.

Sleep gives our souls an opportunity to leave the physicality so it can recharge itself. If you went through an experience in the middle of the day that was

Dreams are a form of prophecy.

When you are dreaming you are getting messages about the future.

This is written in the Tora and is also scientifically proven. This is confusing because sometimes the dreams are a fabrication, and sometimes the dreams are true. We have to ask ourselves how we know this.

The Zohar states that this depends on a person’s action. We are in the season of Libra, and as many of you know, it is the season of the scales, the balance, and harmony that we find within. Much of this pursuit in our lives must be approached with mindfulness of the whole of our bodies; if one area is out of balance, it will show its face in other facets of our lives. And if left unchecked, can manifest into a disease.

We maintain this equilibrium with what we put into our bodies, whether it be food, drink, music, environment, people etc. The energy that surrounds us is what we absorb. It is ‘Self-Care 101’, and the beauty is that we can dictate exactly what we put inside to give us a better result outside.

One way to remain equalized within our body is through the acid/alkaline balance. When we eat more acid producing foods like sugar, meats, processed foods, grains, and alcohol, it causes inflammation in our body. Often, I talk about our life path. How we choose before we enter this life, a path of events to learn and evolve our spiritual consciousness. But what is not readily understood is that our life path is like a labyrinth of choices and off-road experiences. There is no direct path to your next level in spiritual awareness.

When we are spirit, setting up our trip back into the physical experience there is an assessment of where you are in the wheel of spiritual development. All of us have some sort of karma to work through, but this does not mean negative experiences need to unfold as karma is just a lesson of life. Choices are not always in our control, sometimes experiences happen around us that have a direct effect on our life or something happens directly to us that we need to work through, such as illness or tragedy. As we all know the physical life experience is not a straight smooth road to travel. Why would you choose a difficult path to begin with, why do we need to experience emotional pain and sorrow? A simple but sometimes hard to accept answer; to evolve your soul to a higher level of enlightenment.

Tragic events or situations happen to good people! You say WHY? They are so good and giving, why do they need to feel the tragedy of loss, ill health or victimization.

To answer this statement, you first must understand that the universal mind of God or any other divine power isn’t controlling the good or bad that happens in your life. We are simply here to experience and evolve our soul. You choose your experiences; however, we have a labyrinth of directions to move through in order to find answers and enlightenment.

So where does the universal mind of God play into this then?

We are never separate from God or the 40

Listening to God and the highest spiritual beings, will help you navigate your labyrinth, which will truly help lead you to the next level of spiritual consciousness with the lease amount of difficulties getting through the maze of your life path.

Therefore, at times it may be wise to consult a psychic who can help guide you by putting a light on your path, helping you through your maze of difficulties. We all get upset, at times some may feel like giving up trying to move through the maze as you run into another dead-end or what may seem like a trap with no way out. Putting Energy into Changing Your Life!

Therapists can be great guides and bring different perspectives to the table. It’s why people come to see me. I was reminded this week of some clients, not many, who come into my office and just are too scared to speak -- or conversely, talk without taking a break. They have a difficult time letting me know why they’re there, why they feel they need help and yet want something miraculous to happen so their life changes. Some seem to desire a magic wand or pill that can re-make their lives in a way they’ve dreamt of.

I have news! If you want your life to change, you can do the work to be the change you want in your life! If you want more positive thoughts -- you create more positive thoughts and reframe the negative thoughts into positive-vibrationed ones.

Desire better relationships? You can make those changes by putting in the work. As with anything, the moment you truly start to put energy into change, that’s the moment when things really start happening in your favor. Because you are using your free will to make mindful changes and where your energy goes, that’s what grows!

I had a client who for two years just didn’t do any “homework” that he either decided on or that I suggested. There were always excuses and rationalizations as to why these things often didn’t get even started. Then, one holiday, his family was gone for two weeks and so, with no family/work/friends to distract him from himself, he went back and did almost everything we had discussed. In his next appointment, he was so happy and excited, he wondered, “Why didn’t I do this before?” Within two months, he’d gotten closer to his family, made friends, got a promotion and liked himself a lot more. He ended therapy and is still doing well.

You see, all it takes is a little work, a little ‘positively vibrationed’ and focused energy going the way you mindfully direct it.

It’s been proven that what we focus on, we get more of.

That what we focus on actually builds stronger connections -- communications -- within the brain to create a habitual path of thought and behavior, so your life changes according to the energy you have now directed toward it.

In addition, your brain starts working differently. Your actions change. Your emotions and heart grow. When you mindfully choose how you think and act, you are choosing who you want to be in that moment. You are always directly responsible for who you decide to be and for the direction of your life. Even if those decisions were made when you were two years old and came from a two-year-old’s experience, in utero, in a past life -- they are stuck on your “response” button when triggered by an outside event. Get the trigger, and without thinking, you respond whether it’s appropriate or not.

So, you can either choose to just ride the current and blame others or wonder why “bad” things happen to you. Or, you can choose to take your life into your own hands, do the work and change your life. It’s really all up to you. Therapy and therapists are a great guide, yet we get to where you want to go fastest when you choose to put in the work, the energy into changing your life to a life of your desires.

Have fun directing your thoughts and energy to where you want to go! Life is just a great big experience in learning and growth, so go out and mindfully explore, moment by moment.

5 Health Benefits of Being Silent for Your Body and Mind How often do we take the time to sit and enjoy silence?

Silence and solitude give us the space to think, act, and play “catch up” with our mind, and can be very healthy for our physical and mental wellbeing. It’s time to go to our quiet and peaceful place, and feed our mind and body so we can reap these five benefits, backed by science.

Relieves Stress: Noise has a pronounced physical effect on the brain, which can lead to elevated levels of stress hormones. This happens when sound waves reach the brain as electrical signals via the ear, which then causes the body to react to these signals. The amygdala — associated with memory formation and emotion — is activated, and this leads to the release of stress hormones.

A 2006 study in Heart found silence can release tension in the brain and body in just two minutes. Researchers found it was more relaxing than listening to “relaxing” music. This was based on changes in blood pressure and blood circulation in the brain.

Fights Insomnia: Spending a few minutes a day in silence can lead to improved sleep, especially for insomniacs. A 2015 study in JAMA Internal Medicine found older adults who had trouble sleeping experienced less insomnia, fatigue, and depression after doing mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness meditation involves focusing on our breathing and then bringing our mind’s attention to the present without thinking about the past or the future. It helps to break the train of everyday thoughts to provoke a relaxation response.

Heightens Sensitivity: There are retreats that promote the power of silence by refraining from reading, writing, or eye contact. One hundred scientists went on a retreat for research and found shutting off speech heightens awareness in other areas. They practiced the technique of vipassana meditation, which promotes overall wellbeing.

This begins with breathing, which is then transferred to sights, sounds, sensations, thoughts, intentions, and emotions.

Improves Memory: Going for a walk in the park can cause brain growth in the hippocampus, leading to better memory. A 2011 study published in the, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found adults who walked for 40 minutes three times a week for a year had brain growth in the hippocampus — an area of the brain associated with spatial memory. Immersing ourselves in nature helps the brain to focus and have better memory consolidation.

Stimulates Brain Growth: Sitting in silence could also boost brain growth by creating new cells. A 2013 study published in the journal, Brain Structure and Function found at least two hours of silence could create new cells in the hippocampus region. This is essential since the hippocampus is linked to our ability to learn, remember things, and even our emotions.

The Law of Circulation

“If you want greater prosperity in your life, start forming a vacuum to receive it.” Catherine Ponder One of the greatest blessings and/or curses of walking a spiritual pathway are the ongoing opportunity life presents to us to examine who we are and what we stand for. To live with spiritual integrity means to live our lives from the inside out, turning within and seeing the correlation between our sense of the sacred and the manifestation of our daily affairs. The idea of examining oneself on a regular basis is not very appealing to most individuals, to a more significant degree because we don’t like what we see when we take a direct look. It takes courage to turn and face our demons, but it is the only way to true liberation; I did not say blocking them… but to reveal them to the light.

The greatest paradoxes in life to be found on a spiritual pathway are the principles of abundance and the law of circulation. In many churches on Sunday morning, many recite phrases such as: …. for the measure you give, is the measure you get back; by your standard of action, it shall be measured to you; for whoever has to him shall more be given; whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.

Metaphorically, it means that if you believe in more than enough, you will receive even more, or, if you believe in not enough, the universe will conspire to take what little you may have from you. Therefore, the law of circulation works in this fashion. Practical wisdom noted by Ernest Holmes, “There are no voids because the universe abhors a vacuum.” The universe will fill that void according to our beliefs.

Paraphrasing world-known economics has offered statistics to note; consumers’ circulation of dollars staying in our perspective communities enriches that community. We intuitively know we must make room in our lives to receive; it is merely how the universe works, and it never compromises on this point.

So, why do some people give more freely than others do?

Why do some give to the beggar on the street corner? Why don’t you give? Could it be that your thoughts are, ... the beggar should get a job; I have to work for my money; why should I give them my hard earned money; they’re lazy; I gave at the office; I’m having a hard time myself, ....on and on.

The next time this occurs, know that you alone can create that expectancy by your willingness to release the good you hold, to receive a greater good. Once you establish the security of giving, you will never hesitate to give to a worthy cause or a decent person or a beggar on the street. The beggar who seeks a handout from you will represent his/her own consciousness of poverty and lack, but for you, he/she afford the opportunity to 44

emphasize your faith in abundance. So you give him/her from your sense of security in life.

Whatever you desire more of you need to start giving. Don’t just give around the holidays. Don’t give to get, but give with the right intention -– law of circulation -– the cosmic balance. It is how you confirm that you are alive and connected to life. Know that money is energy in a specific form. Energy is a universal principle, and you are merely a conduit through which it flows.

You may not have much to give but give nonetheless; give time, give smiles, give hugs, give service, give patience, give respect, give forgiveness, give love, give thanks and most importantly, give thanks to the universal cosmic balance for it all.

There are no voids because the universe abhors a vacuum.

Make a commitment to yourself that within the next twenty-four hours, you will find a way to give that which is meaningful and significant to you. The law of circulation will thank you for it. The universe will fill that void according to your beliefs.

My trip to Brazil to find out who is this man they call John of God: Who is JOG and who gave him the name? It is said “the people” gave him this name. He reluctantly did not want to be responsible for such a name. His name is João. He often states, “he does no healing, it is God who works through him”. He can best be described as an Energy Healer who works in a trance medium state. I have met plenty who share a similar gift in the past decade, but his gift of physically healing stands alone. One must come to Brazil and visit the Casa for a first hand experience this sacred space and the Entities who work through JOG. João had been given the gift to heal rather than just being a conduit for information to come through. He can do both. But, healing is his forte. He bleeds like any other human. He desires things that men do in his culture.

He doesn’t act like a saint, nor does he put on a show to do so.

He has bad days as well as good days, as people do. I went to understand the man, not the myth.

This article was inspired when I observed a picture of João getting his own physical surgery by the Entities through himself.

The surgery was recommend by the Entities for João living beyond what is necessary for a body to be healthy. João, like any other man, must also face his fallibility. I believe it is grossly misunderstood about being human for many people, globally.

The public at large often believe those whom hold a certain professional position such as a judge, pastor, policeman, doctor, teacher, etc.. have to be without flaws. And then when the people hear something that proves them fallible like the rest of the community-oh no! Get rid of them! Consequences have a certain frequency vibration that can only be neutralized by what I call “contrast action”. Everyone is liable to inherit or rediscover them. It is written within all lifetimes. Life is filled with challenges that allow us to make them right. And I came to Brazil to just that.

João has been presented with a gift that ten years from now, I feel, will be the norm- standby to witness. Energy healing is not new. Now, through the likes of social media and the rise in mass consciousness, more than ever healing modalities are surfacing around the world. This is such a monumental time

right now. I love the fact that we, as a collective, are experiencing this together.

There is beauty in chaos. Be patient.

João is not God. He is an expression of God. Just as I feel we all are. No man can run from his own experiences, good or bad. Regardless of the benevolent beings coming through the one in question. His gift to humanity is real and so is his fallibility. Then again, is he not a man?

The fourteen days I spent in Abadiania, Brazil I felt this energetic vortex of healing & love that left me with a feeling of sweet serenity. As if all that had bothered me has now been mentally erased. Not in a destructive controlling aspect but more so in a healing way.

No more does the past aggravate my intentions about the future. It is though I am leaving fully in the present. And for that “I am” forever grateful.
