https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca

1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, then click on the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.

2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.

3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.

4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minute if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 6 PM will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.

5. Within 24 hours of the sale close DLMS will contact winning bidders via email with an invoice payable to Greenvalley Ranch Ltd. Transfer of papers and delivery will be arranged with Greenvalley Ranch Ltd upon sale completion.

If you require assistance with using the new DLMS Farm Gate web site, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list, if you can’t figure out the proxy bid or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team or Sale Consignors.

What is racehorse style sale close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.

how will extended bidding work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

Welcome from the stewart family

Welcome to our Fifth Annual bull sale. It’s an exciting time to be in the cattle industry with record high prices. There have been many years of struggling in the cattle business but we are sure glad to see that hard work is now paying off. I would like to give a big thank you to all our past customers that believed in our program and have given us a chance to prove our cattle to them.

The years keep rolling by and with strict selection the cattle keep getting better. We are committed to raising cattle that will last into old age. We vow to never stop improving our herd so that your investment into it has a huge return.

Life is busy around the ranch and we are thankful for good help to get the jobs done. Isaac is my right hand and probably my left as well most days when the other enterprises pull me away from the farm. Bryon did a little tour this fall to Stockade Round Up and Farm Fair where he rounded up a few ribbons and a couple banners with our show string.

The kids are growing like crazy and love the outdoors. As a farmer I’m hoping their interest in the lifestyle grows, cause it sure makes it fun doing this life as a family.

Our bulls are raised on their dams with an available creep feed pellet to help their development and ease transition at weaning. Once weaned they are pail fed a ration with access to free choice hay while running on 25 acres of tame grass. Once harvest is complete they are transitioned to the silage ration they will stay on until delivered to their forever homes. We stand behind our breeding stock and are 100% guaranteed to meet your satisfaction.

2024 has had its challenges with low grain prices and low yields. Luckily we had a fair bit of early rains that gave us plenty of grass to keep the cattle content right into late fall. So far, we have had some good snow falls that will help to start refill our water sources. 2025 looks to be off to a great start with our southern neighbours making the right decision and the goofball down east seeing his way off the stage. We

want to wish everyone a successful year and a safe and prosperous calving season.

At the ranch there is no appointment necessary to visit our four-legged family. The bull pen is always open for viewing and we hope that you can find the time to come and evaluate them for yourself. If your free time doesn’t permit as we would understand this time of year feel free to reach out to myself, Bryon or Taylor, Jaxon or Scott on the Bohrson team they have toured and are familiar with our herd.

We look forward as always to seeing our repeat customers and excited to meet the new and potential customers.

Hugh & Raylene and Family

Welcome from the bohrson marketing team

Welcome to the 2025 Greenvalley Ranch Bull Sale held online with DLMS Farm gate timed auctions. In the last decade, Hugh Stewart and family have assembled a high quality Simmental cow herd that they have built around powerful, productive cows. They have always had a no none sense approach to breeding their cattle and we feel that is very evident as you walk through the bulls. Great dispositions, strong feet, thick hair coats, easy doing, good looking cattle. The basics. All covered here at GVR. GVR has done an exceptional job raising and purchasing quality donor females to flush and build around and have always either walked or ai’d to industry leading genetics to improve their program to ultimately enhance their customers programs. We know you’ll be impressed as you study this catalogue with the depth in quality and consistency it represents. We highly encourage you to reach out to Hugh or Bryon to visit about the bulls and the program at GVR. If any of us listed from BMS can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we would love to help and are very familiar with the bulls and this great program. We look forward to visiting with you soon!

“Our bulls are bred and fed to last. We have complete confidence that our bulls will go out and work for your operation. Make sure to contact myself or any of the BMS if you are unable to make the sale. We will help you find the right bull for you.”

RUST MISS 6105D SONS

If we didn’t call her Scream, we should call her Efficient. 6105D hasn’t ever disappointed us in either bull or heifer calves. All her offspring have her easy fleshing ability and shape no matter the sire. I always joke that this cow could get fat on fresh air and straw and I’m not sure it is a joke. I have never seen this cow lacking flesh and look at this line up of sons. If you get a chance to tour our bull pen, we would love to show you the sisters to these bulls. We are confident that there would be no disappointment to be had. We all know how important the bottom line is and efficiency is how we improve our margins. I feel that this breed is all about efficiency and that the efficiency of 6105D makes her a flagship female in the Purebred Simmental breed.

KING RANCH 93M & RANCHER 27M

6105D has done us proud again. Unfortunately these will be the last sons off of her as we lost her last spring. This cow never failed to produce docile easy fleshing offspring which is seen again in these two sons. King Ranch was the bull we chose to take on the show road this fall. With is money stripe and dark red coat he sure caught some attention. These Rancher brothers are full siblings to last years GVR DUTTON 5L that sold to Wills Land and Cattle and is getting the job done. Docility packed with efficiency make these brothers a must have.

Here is a paternal sib to 93M & 27M. This guy just proves again that Rancher is consistent in his sons. 21M is out of a beauty young cow we bought at the Border City Simmental sale from Sunny Valley and she is turning out as we expected. This Dam has a beautiful udder, calm demeanour, dark red coat, and awesome feet.

CROSSROAD FRANKIE SONS

When we jumped at an opportunity with Scott Bohrson to buy Crossroads pick of bred heifers we didn’t hesitate. We trusted in Scott’s choice to pick, and Frankie came to the farm. Frankie is tanky and has the perfect udder - not even a drawing could be better. Frankie is definitely another very efficient cow and proves that any cross you try she just compliments it. Top of our bull and heifer pen you will see Frankie on the bottom side of the pedigree. Here is an opportunity to get yourself a new herd sire off one of Canadian Donors top cows.

Not too often you get to see full siblings this close in age in the same pen. These brothers show the consistency of this mating. CRF Frankie 68F has the maternal traits that every cattleman desires in his females. She proved to be easy fleshing, excellent footed and an udder for the record books. We are proving her genetics with daughters and a son we retained for our breeding program last year. These three brothers are full siblings to our high selling bull last year that went to Rocky Meadow Ranch.

CINDERELLA
CINDERELLA

We had an opportunity to do an exclusive flush on Frankie and we thought we would try something different. These two brothers hands down stack in the top top end of this bull pen. The depth of these bulls is unreal. This is opportunity on a pair of outcrossed brothers that will be sure to make your next favourite herd sire. Don’t forget the rock star maternal traits of their dam Frankie.

Proven genetics is the best way to confidently promote, and this is why we are offering semen on GVR Ranch Boss 52L. Son of the proven CRF Frankie 68F and Sunny Valley Rancher 42D, we see that genetic traits are extremely consistent. Ranch Boss is dark red, wide topped, excellent footed, and carries the genetics of foot and udder perfection. With some of his progeny on the ground this winter it’s certain his calves will top the pen. Ranch Boss had a busy year starting out at stud and making it home to go out and breed for the final cycle. After all his hard work in the first half of the year, it didn’t slow him down to enter the show ring at Stockade Roundup and Farm Fair bringing home reserve junior champion bull at both shows. We are proud of Ranch Boss for what he has already done and what we believe he is cabable of in the future. We were a little late last year getting him to stud so this year we have semen ready to go. If you are looking for a TOP quality red sire that is out of a stacked up proven pedigree give us a call and we will gladly help you get the semen you need. Semen is export qualified.

SVS TYCOON 841F

sire: dam:

Where do we even begin talking about this bull. We have not been disappointed with any of our Tycoon calves from day one, whether they are bulls or heifers. We love the dark red and quiet off spring that are stand outs from the day they are born to today. It is very easy to walk in the pens and pick out any Tycoon progeny.

straight up been a sure thing. 14M is the last calf that we will ever offer out of MBJ Leila 75Z. Leila was a power cow with a top notch udder and just a dream to handle. 14M is long, deep and really wide topped. This bull really needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Well here is another pair of full siblings you can add to my favourite list. When we flushed FGN Peppa 709E it wasn’t a mistake to do a round with the proven Tycoon. 709E is a full sibling to the 2023 supreme champions mother FGN Peppa 713E and they are peas in a pod. The maternal side of these bulls consist of black white/brockle face cows with the nicest udders I’ve ever seen. A full sibling to these brothers walks at Flying S Ranch and Ken is loving the results. Red face or white face take your pick! Neither will be a mistake!!

GVR MR 609H SONS

GVR MR 609H

609H is a home raised E.T. bull that is a full sibling to Black Gold’s Ava Scream. Solid black and long as a train this bull is really growing into a rockstar.

44M comes out of a black sire and black dam and it’s always exciting for me to get a red calf from this kind of mating. 44M is a stand out in the pen and with his docility he will let you analyze him all day long. He comes out of a really nice black Erixon momma that really is just an awesome complete cow.

Another red bull out of black parents. 62M is flat out awesome. He is a maternal sibling to our high selling black bull to R-Plus in last years sale. 62M is wide topped, big butt, smooth shoulders, hairy, and a pet to top it off. Dam is a moderate frame cow with an awesome udder and a calm demeanour that she continues to pass on to her calves.

GVR MR 62M

This 1/2 blood momma never failed to give us a high performance calf that weaned in the top end. If you are in the market for a percentage bull don’t look past 156M. Docility has always been fantastic with the mulitple calves we have raised out of 1E. We know that pounds pay the bill and this guy has the length of frame on both sided of his genetics to carry the weight and squash the scale.

GVR MR 60K

60K is a E.T. bull we raised and decided he had to join the Greenvalley herd sire pen. We are impressed with his first set of calves and two of his brothers walk at Valley Hog Farm and are making some beauty calves. Tycoon has been a great sire for us and we wish we had a herd of Leilas so we feel 60K has a ton to offer in his calves.

Chief has just flat out been a champion here at Greenvalley. I’m sure I can speak for Jesse Guy who walks him as well and say that this is a bull that would be near impossible to replace. He holds his body condition and is able to roll through two breeding seasons and look the same. When Jesse and I talk Chief is never able to escape the conversation. This bull has amazing feet, his structure and frame just stay the same year after year, and if there is a cow in heat, well Chief has her bred before anyone else knows.

35M comes out of a black heifer we picked up at the Sunrise dispersal. This bull is a pet and he has the shape and look. Don’t be worried about the shorter ears and tail they are probably still bigger than an angus. 35M’s mom was concerned to be far from him and his third night she bought him out of the shelter to keep him close by the hay feeder and it was a windy cold night. If you are in the market for a calving ease black bull check out the outcross on this guy and his awesome EPD’s.

FULLBLOODS

I figured it was time for the kids to have some cows of their own so new to GVR is the Full Blood division. Zane and Adalyn have three cows, Whispers, Labelle, and Maggie. I had talked about full blood for some time and thought it would be fun for the kids and easy for them to see which ones are theirs. I often joke with them that anything with white on its legs is theirs. As for me I do not like horns so the full blood division is POLLED!!!

GVR MARQUEE 92M

Out of a beautiful Kuntz bred heifer we picked up at the Border City Simmental sale 92M will have amazing maternal traits. Awesome uddered, great footed, super quiet, and POLLED 209K looks to be a great program starter.

Blaze face Bombshell 550G has raised another great one. This young cow is well bred and to add Darlin’ on the top side makes her son 141M a top pick. Docility is a top trait in 550G and two years in a row her sons have inherited that. If you are looking for a quiet black bull that is smooth made, deep and hairy 141M should be in your sights.

Another black blaze faced dam well matched to BOBE 5K wont disappoint. The money stripe from his mom isn’t the only thing he got, he also carries a calm demeanour like her. If you are looking to add some color 132M is double blazed on the bottom side and being hetro black you might even get the much desired red blaze. 35

Here is bull that’s hard not to love. Out of an awesome second calver that holds nothing back when raising a calf. I always find it impressive on our first and second calvers to see the huge gaps from BW to WW and 96M has a big spread.

95M is an eye catcher, not only because he is super quiet but, his make up is top notch. His damn came from the Sunny Valley program through the Border City Simmental sale and we felt she was a calving ease bull maker. Double digit calving ease and triple digit yearling weight make 95M an option to sleep easy and watch your calve gain!!

Tidal wave had a good run here at Greenvalley. With a multitude of daughters, we had to send him on to the local drive through windows. Dark red, easy calving, easy fleshing were only a few of great traits he had.

29M is a tank! This out crossed bull goes back to a Ter-Ron heifer on the bottom side we bought with quality in mind to breed up. I’m not a red angus guy but I couldn’t help but love the feet and udders the 43E cow family had, and wow could they milk. 29M’s dam is a quiet, solid framed young cow with a beautiful udder. Adding in Chief on the bottom side this bull is sure to have great feet to make the miles. 29M is for sure a bull that will catch your eye in the pen and have you asking who he is and where can I load him up. 38

With a little bit of fleck back from his granddam 121M has big gains. If you are looking for performance 121M would easily be at the top of the list.

TIDAL WAVE 954G GVR MISS 43K

If you are a numbers person this bull has the numbers!! Calving ease on both sides make this guy a candidate for the heifer pen. I believe that heifers first calves do not need to be a bonus calf and this guy proves that with the massive Yearling Weight of 137.6!!!

GVR TIDAL WAVE 151M

This red white face bull is a cool package with calving ease on the top side and power and performance on the bottom. Back to a powerful percentage granddam on the bottom side and matched with the proven Chief, 151M is a very universal fit. Length and depth are throughout the pedigree on this guy. Don’t forget the white face - everyone loves a red blaze.

GVR TIDAL WAVE 41M

Here is bull with calving ease all throughout his pedigree. 41M just proves that performance can come even with heifer bulls and as I believe no heifer’s calf needs to just be a bonus calf. Out of a beauty young black dam we are confident he will pass on the family traits of great udders and feet.

136M comes out of a full sibling to our herd bull GVR 60K and GVR 14M a few pages back in this catalogue. This bull is smooth made has lots of hair and shape. I’m certain this bull will compliment any program he enters with frame and “fleshibility”.

Pretty cool package found in this bull. I probably can’t count high enough for the times I’ve said maternal traits in these footnotes so far but here goes again. 123M comes out of a Rancher x Frankie daughter that again has an amazing udder and fantastic feet. Where ever this bull ends up I’m sure it’ll be hard to let any daughters he makes leave the farm.

Coming out of a black Chief daughter we see that calving performance and calving ease can make a winning combination. Flat topped and dark as you can make the color red 126M will be another versatile option.

If there was ever a bull that reminded me of his sire here he is. Unfortunately this will be our last calf crop on offer from CLNO 7G as he was doing what boys do and got hurt. CLNO 7G consistently calved easy with low birthweight, but turn on the power and would wean in the top end of the pen, which I always found amazing out of first calve heifers. 75M is out of a cool mating E.T. daughter that comes from the IRCC program.

GVR APPROVAL 116M

Smooth made bull with a pedigree loaded with awesome cattle. Bottom side comes with length, flesh, udder quality, blaze face, etc. I feel that 116M is a calving ease option stacked up with performance and will show you what your first calvers are capable of doing for you.

We will round off the line up with an option in black of CLNO 7G. Coming out of a gentle little first calver 154M may be a little younger than the rest but he isn’t holding back now. This guy is smooth made but still has the shape and docility that will make him a treat to wherever the sale takes him.
