RED WILLOW

ANNUAL SIMMENTAL BULL & FEMALE SALE

MONDAY MARCH 3, 2025

1PM M.S.T. – AT THE RANCH – CUT KNIFE, SK

Welcome to our fourth on-farm bull & female sale. The entire offering has been interesting all year long, watching them grow and mature alongside their dams on grass this summer was exciting. Although it was quite a dry year here again, we were very pleased to see the cows hold their own on lessthan-ideal grass conditions for most of the late summer. We have selected easy-fleshing, high production cattle for several years and it’s rewarding to see them perform in real-world situations. Hoping for more moisture and better growing conditions for everyone this upcoming year! We feel our bulls are correct for the times where the added pressure to feed a growing population requires higher yielding carcasses. Our power bulls are performance packed while maintaining calving ease with high growth rates and are backed by a highly maternal cowherd. Our calving ease prospects not only showcase lower birth weights but have ideal growth to them which helps to maximize your profits off those first calving females. We have had several customers give us feedback saying that they weaned off the heaviest set of calves they ever had this fall using our genetics in their herds. We feel very humbled by that, as it’s what we are trying to achieve within our program. Hearing customers getting added value from their investments in our bulls is what we want to hear.

Our purebred and commercial heifers are strong groups. We’ve got a good mix of both the showy, stylish, ultra-feminine kind as well as the powerful, broody, herd-builder kind. As in years prior there will be a selection of reds, blacks, blaze faced, and traditional Simmental and Simm X females.

With many commercial cattle producers seeing record profits, we encourage you to take careful consideration in securing herd bulls that are going to help you capitalize on the upward trends and set those new records. A good bull can pay dividends on a calf crop in a short period of time!

We’d like to take a quick moment to thank all of those who have expressed their interest in our program, whether you’ve bid, bought, or come to the farm to tour, we appreciate the time you’ve spent getting to know our operation and the trust you’ve placed in our program to serve yours.

In October, we were happy to have Ram Flicek join us to assist with getting the ranch through our busiest season. Unfortunately, he is off to try the oilfield out, as most young guys do, and so we wish him the best and thank him immensely for the time he’s put in here. Good luck, Ramsay!

Please contact us or any of the sales representatives anytime if you have questions.

*All bulls were pictured the first part of December, and videos of all sale lots will be available on www.cattlevids.ca and our website www.redwillowranchltd.com by mid-February.

We hope to see you on sale day, Monday, March 3, 2025!

DARREN & TINA TYLER
JOSH, JADA, STETSON & WAELYN TYLER

Welcome to the 2025 Red Willow Ranch Bull & Female Sale. This annual event has evolved into one of the must attend events on the spring sale calendar. The Tyler family has diligently and strategically built a cowherd that works in all aspects of the cattle industry. Their dedication to their own operations has impacted many of their repeat customers we annually see lined up to purchase a RWR bull. On behalf of the entire Red Willow Ranch family, we invite you to join us at the Ranch near Cut Knife, SK for this annual event.

As always, the recognizable Fullblood offering at RWR is nothing short of impressive. The colour, hair, fleshing ability and maternal characteristics these bulls carry is second to none. They are made up of a few select sire groups to offer you a consistent, uniform set of fullblood bulls to evaluate and select from. These bulls are always raved about and are selected by some of the real astute cattlemen across North America for all the positive attributes they contribute whether it be the set of feeder calves they sire or the extremely sought after set of replacement females they leave behind, these RWR Fullblood bulls need serious consideration.

The ever growing and evolving Red and Black Purebred herd at Red Willow Ranch has been made up of a good blend of both powerful walking herd bulls and exclusive semen packages to Ai cattle to. These bulls are geared for today’s commercial industry and are sure to please no matter what scenario you are looking to satisfy. These bulls consistently have the added frame and scale with length of body, rib shape and overall do-ability in a sound, eye appealing package.

Again this year is some true sale features highlighting the purebred open replacement heifers. These females are selected right from the heart of the herd and represent the powerful cow families that make up RWR and offer a look at the female side of the bulls on offer’s pedigree. Along side them are the famous Red Willow pens of commercial open heifers. These are annually some of the very elite females we see in this category sell each spring!

We do hope you make plans to join us at the farm on March 3rd for this exciting offering. Don’t hesitate to contact Darren or Josh to lineup a tour of the sale cattle anytime prior to sale day and visit with them about which bulls can best suit your programs needs. If any of us from BMS can be of any assistance, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. We would be pleased to help you source your next purchases at Red Willow Ranch!

RWR DARWIN 79M 1

• Dilutor free

• Our lead-off fullblood is an incredible mating that did not disappoint

• Genetic twist offered on this exceptional herd sire prospect

• 79M is as soggy as they come, with off-thecharts doability and fleshing ease

• A standout all year long with his colour, pigment, solid bone, and the way he gets out and travels on a big, dependable hoof

• Style and pen presence made complete with the added performance and power

• Explosive numbers noted on this calf

• Mothered by RWR 63B, one of, if not the most, influential cows in our herd consistently raising the good ones. Her sons always top our sales, dating back to RWR Steiger 2D purchased by Crossroad Farms for $49,000, RWR High Class 39K purchased by Rendezvous Farm for $40,000, and this doesn’t touch on the daughters of hers we’ve retained in herd

• The capacity and dimension of RWR 79M is tough to rival. We invite you to analyze him for yourselves

RWR DARWIN 94M 2

• Full Fleckvieh, Hetero Polled, Dilutor free

• We always said if we were going to play with polled genetics, they had to bring power, and RWR 94M does just that

• RWR 94M holds a level of diversity we haven’t yet offered being polled and Full Fleck

• Showcasing impressive performance numbers

• Clean through his front third, deep into the middle, and thick through the hip, carrying his muscle and shape down well into his hock, he’s one you need to see

• Deep red, strong topped, and big loined

• Mothered by a big bodied, powerhouse female that we could always depend on to bring in the good ones every fall

• If you’re looking for that ‘something different’ with strong maternal background, mark this guy high on your list

Commercial Heifers LOTS 79-89

This year we have decided to once again incorporate some commercial females into our sale. We feel the females on offer are a very strong, powerful set of heifers. They possess big-time volume and capacity, great haircoats, and should develop into very productive females with a bright future. They are sired by top end angus and simmental bulls. Heifers are on a full herd health program and will be palpated for breeding soundness prior to sale. Heifers will be sold in pre-sorted groups on sale day.
