You may be entitled to have your fees waived for a course up to Level 2 if you: 1) Are unemployed and receive an eligible benefit and are taking the course to help you find employment or improve your current employment situation and the course is relevant to your job prospect. Evidence of benefit/s must be preferably dated within 3 months of enrolment date and not more than 6 months prior. Eligible benefits are: • JSA including National • Working Tax Credit • Universal Credit - Work Insurance credit only • Housing Benefit Preparation Group, Work • ESA (WRAG) • Council Tax Benefit Focused Interview Group, Work • Income Support (not single person discount) Related Requirement Groups 2) Work and earn less than £18,525 per year: This will need to be evidenced by one wage slip dated within 3 months or your current employment contract stating your gross wage. 3) If you don’t already have a full Level 2 qualification in any subject and need to study at a lower level in order to progress to Level 2: A full Level 2 qualification is equivalent to one A Level pass, two or three AS Levels, five or more GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or an NVQ 2. There are other qualifications which are equivalent to a full Level 2 so please ask if you are unsure. You will be asked to sign a self-declaration at enrolment.
