Dementia care is an important part of the work at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals. The dementia team works with patients using a range of techniques to help them with everyday life, and ensure they are comfortable and stimulated.
• Charity t-shirt for the host
• Money collection tins • Event poster • Stickers • Invitations • Gift aid forms. You can hold your event whereever you like and can raise money by charging an entry fee, or by selling coffee/tea or cakes. Our fundraisers have previously held ‘Brew Up’s’ in their own home, at work, and at school. Businesses such as coffee shops and hotels have also taken part by donating a percentage of drink sales over a week or month.
Please give what you can. All donations, no matter how small will help your hospital.

New look appeal shop needs volunteers Bournemouth Hospital Charity is urgently seeking volunteers to raise vital funds by giving a few hours a week to work in the new Appeal Shop at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital (RBH). The new Appeal Shop has undergone a complete transformation and is now open for business selling a wide range of generously donated items. From clothes to puzzles and toys to books, the shop has a lot of regular customers who pop in to grab a bargain. The shop has funded important equipment and it is hoped that the new location will help to raise even more. Sara Armstrong, Fundraising Manager for Bournemouth Hospital Charity, said: “We have some amazing volunteers who help raise thousands of pounds every year but we’re sure that we can raise more if we had more help.
Can your company help Bournemouth Hospital Charity raise vital funds? Would your company like to have fun raising funds with our fantastic team for the Bournemouth Hospital Charity?
Supporting charities helps businesses meet their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations, creates good team spirit amongst staff and by choosing Bournemouth Hospital Charity (BHC) you will be supporting your local hospitals to provide the best equipment, training and comfort for our community. By supporting the hospitals in this way you, your clients/ customers and staff can be confident that you are helping a charity that touches the lives of so many people. Most of us live in and around Bournemouth and never know when we may need the expertise of the hospital. Together we can all work to ensure that the hospital can continue the great work and care it provides.
We would like to say a BIG thank you to the following local companies that have supported us recently: The Village Hotel supported the charity in 2015 through sponsorship and fundraising the amazing amount of £5,340. The new Cosy Club, donated £1,109, from their first month sales of coffees and burgers. The Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa raised a fantastic £1,052 from their Christmas staff raffle as well as making us their charity of the year.
“We also need volunteers to help with our events such as out March for Men and Twilight Walk events where we need help with promotion and running the events. if you can spare just a few hours a week or know someone who can, please contact the Charity Office on 01202 704060 for more information.”
