OURSTEELOURFUTURE

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT The development of our continent is only possible through the creation of wealth by the citizens, through sustainable industrial investments and the optimization of natural resources which results in the creation of jobs. WE DARE TO UNDERTAKE!

GEORGES CHOUCAIR PRESIDENT

01. FACTORY ADA - Aceria de Angola's Factory is located in Barra de Dande, province of Bengo. The factory has been under construction since October, 2012, up until September, 2015, and will start production in October, 2015. • 600 Workers; • 300.000 tons of steel produced annually; • Compliance with environmental standards.

02. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY • MIGA • MISSION • RESPONSABILITY

The ADA project was approved by MIGA - Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, member of the World Bank Group, whose mission is that of promoting direct foreign investment in developing countries.

RESPONSABILITY

MISSION

The ADA project illustrates the participation of the private corporate sector: • In the diversification of economy; • In the growth of internal production; • In the progressive substitution of imports; • In the creation of wealth; • In the generation of jobs.

The ADA project will participate in the creation of social infrastructures such as: • Education: Creation of a vocational training centre; • Employment: 600 direct and approx. 2000 indirect jobs; • Water: Creation of a water treatment plant and its continuous operation; • Energy: Promotion of the population's access, contributing to its supply; • Health: Creation of a medical centre.

The group's corporate social responsibility is present in the contribution to: • The creation of opportunities concerning stable jobs; • The fight against poverty; • The improvement of the communities' quality of living.

03. SOCIO ECONOMIC REALITY • A SOCIOECONOMIC REALITY • WORKFORCE'S EVOLUTION • TRAINING PLAN OF LABOR • PLAN OF GRADUAL REPLACEMENT

A SOCIOECONOMIC REALITY The implantation of a steel industry, with an investment value of approximately 300 Million dollars, will have a significant social impact upon the development of the Bengo province, in general, and, in particular, Barra do Dande.

ADA will contribute to the education and training of young Angolans regarding the filling of specialized job vacancies. Within its project, it intends to trust the training of technical and maintenance staff to its industrial partner.

The Group's corporate social responsibility is present in the contribution to: • Creating stable jobs opportunities; • Fighting poverty; • Improving the communities’ quality of living.

Approximately 60 hours of technical training will be carried-out by the managerial staff, just like complementary training abroad, in order to guarantee the technology transfer. Additionally, the manufacturer will provide technical assistance for a period of three years in ADA's facilities.

The ADA project will participate in the creation of social infrastructures such as: • Water Treatment Plant and continuous operation; • Residential village for the workers; • Medical Centre; • School; • Training Centre; • Other types of infrastructures.

WORKFORCE'S EVOLUTION 700

600

500

At the same time, auxiliary services regarding steel production will be created. For example, the collection and preparation of steel scrap, regarding which the micro-companies created for this task need large amounts of manpower of intermediate qualification.

400

300

200

For example, all the boats stranded along the coastline could constitute a source for recyclable steel. This will improve environmental conditions in the area that will allow for the development of other sectors, such as tourism. A local steel plant is an excellent training centre for skilled labour.

04. SUSTENTABILITY • ISO 14001

ISO 14001 ADA considers that the best way to achieve its goals is the implementation of the Environmental Management System, according to the ISO 14001 international regulation "Environmental Management System".

The Environmental Management System is based in the concept of the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

05. QUALITY SYSTEM • QUALITY CONTROL • OHSAS 18001 • QUALITY POLICY

QUALITY CONTROL

OHSAS 18001

ADA has a quality department with human resources, equipment and instruments that are sufficient to guarantee that the processes are carried-out within the defined parameters and, consequently, that the products meet the specifications foreseen by the concerning regulation.

Health and Security at work are fundamental aspects in ADA's policy, believing that these objectives will be reached through teamwork and the assumption of responsibilities.

QUALITY POLICY ADA's mission stands on a sustainable production within the market of steel rods and concrete with results to the investors. ADA's administration realises that, in order to fully achieve the company's objectives, its policy must be based on three basic principles: • Well-being, like safety at work, is an essential factor, to each person the development of work within the scope of ADA's business directly contributes to the fulfilment of the objectives as a primordial factor for continuity and success; • The maximum respect for the environment in which ADA develops its activities in order to achieve sustainable development that nourishes a balance between the surrounding environment, social well-being and economic development; • The customer's satisfaction with the objective of corresponding to the expectations in terms of quality and service, making ADA the customer's main choice. In order to achieve the three referred principles, the practice guidelines by which all our actions must be ruled are: • The continuous improvement of our work methods, which is the key to reach the objectives and avoid any type of failure that would lead to underachievement; • The responsible participation of all employees through teamwork; • Development, implementation and improvement of the procedures that manage all activities with a pioneering spirit, looking for the best practice. • Personal development in order to enforce skills within the work environment and, therefore, take advantage of the best personal and professional abilities; • Incentive open, fluid and transparent communication; • Strict compliance with all the legal and regulatory obligations.

The best way to achieve those goals is the implementation of OHSAS 18001 "Systems of Occupational Health and Security Management".
