Near-Infrared Fluorescence Imaging
Reveal the Power of Fluorescence Starting with the SynergyHD3 surgical video system and continuing with SynergyUHD4, Arthrex has become synonymous with innovative visualization. Among the innovations that Arthrex has brought to the market are:
SynergyID also features the comprehensive Synergy Toolbox that surgeons have come to love since the original introduction of Synergy, including: ■■Video live streaming to any authorized remote
viewer ■■An all-in-one imaging console to free up OR space
and simplify equipment setup ■■Tablet control to make system use easier and allow
you to focus on patient care instead of equipment ■■4K video to deliver the highest endoscopic imaging
resolution available SynergyID furthers this story with a system that marries state-of-the-art 4K visualization with superior augmented reality features, such as fluorescence imaging, to see more than ever before.
■■The Synergy Surgeon App for iPad, to review, edit,
and annotate images and videos and also to create patient reports ■■The option to export to USB and network locations
such as PACS (DICOM) or to a network folder ■■Photo capture and video recording
SynergyID – To ensure that you provide superior care for your patients, you should demand the best, most innovative technology.
An Unforgettable Experience ■■Fully-integrated fluorescence imaging provides the ability to use near-infrared fluorescence imaging in different modes, in all procedures and at any time, right when you need it
4K Fluorescence Imaging
■■Increased dynamic range and depth of light for unrivaled contrast and even distribution of light
■■Visualization of the biliary tree anatomy
SynergyID allows for: ■■Visualization of gastrointestinal perfusion
■■Visualization of the lymphatic system
■■Unsurpassed depth of field for optimal sharpness from the front to the back of the image ■■Brand-new imaging modes for white light color augmentation (RED+ and RED-) ■■4 times the number of pixels as HD and a multisensor camera design lead to increased resolution and a stunning depth perception
SynergyID Functional Design

Near-Infrared Light

At a basic level, fluorescence is light, or energy, released from a substance when that substance is exposed to light or other radiation. Fluorescence imaging typically uses a fluorescent dye that is exposed to a special light source, which in turn causes the dye to emit near-infrared (NIR) light that can be detected using a specific camera sensor. While NIR light is not visible to the human eye, a fluorescence imaging camera system can convert the received NIR information into a visible image that can be displayed on a monitor.
Mode and Color – Your Choice. Standard visible light
The system offers several fluorescence modes to allow you to treat your patients best: ■■Standard visible light imaging with
near-infrared overlay ■■Grayscale visible light imaging with
near-infrared overlay ■■Near-infrared imaging only
Standard visible light + NIR* overlay
Depending on your specific fluorescence application, you may prefer one of these modes over the others and sometimes may want to toggle between these modes to see different views and help you easily recognize fluorescence. The modes can quickly be toggled via a camera head button. And why stick to only green or white? In addition to all the different modes, you can choose your preferred color for near-infrared visualization.
