RE/MAX Agents Lead Competitors DENVER – RE/MAX agents continue to outperform all competitors, ranking as the most productive among the elite national real estate franchises. According to preliminary results from the 2014 RISMedia Power Broker Report Top 500, the productivity of RE/MAX agents was more than double the average of agents at competing brokerages. RE/MAX agents on average not only closed more transaction sides, but also claimed a sales volume 69% higher than the average of all competing agents in the Report. “There are some real estate companies with more offices and agents in the Power Broker Report,” said RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly. “But the real test for any homebuyer or seller is whether their agent gets the job done. And, year after year, the numbers show that RE/MAX agents are the most productive among the national brands.” According to the Report, in 2013, RE/MAX agents averaged $4.3 million in sales volume - a 26% increase over 2012, while competing agents

averaged just $2.5 million. RE/MAX agents also averaged 17.5 transaction sides each - an increase of 4.3% over their 2012 performance. The average for all other agents in the report was just 8.4 sides. Continue >>

5 Things You Can Do Today for Higher Conversions Tomorrow Here are five tips you can utilize to boost your conversion rate, including featuring better photos on your website, improving call-to-action buttons, and building trust among consumers. Is your site as optimized for conversions as it should be? Even if you are constantly testing and optimizing, you probably still have room for improvement. But whether you are just getting started with optimization or have been at it for years, here are five easy changes that you can make to your website to boost conversions. Get Real With Your Photos There is no doubt that human imagery is a fantastic marketing tool. There are countless studies and examples to prove it. However, there's a right way and a wrong way to use these images. Using generic stock photos - especially of people is the wrong way. Stock photos are not brand-specific. Chances are, customers have even seen the exact same photo on another website. The message that you are just one of the crowd is not one that will inspire confidence or lead to high conversion rates. These photos also tend to be widely unrealistic. The standard photo of the enthusiastic online shopper, for instance, will not be confused for a real customer by even the most naive of site readers.

Rather than using the same, tired pictures as everyone else, use wellplaced images of genuine customers, clients, products (in context), or company faces. Every photo on your site needs to serve a purpose beyond just "filling space" or looking good. Use photos that will show the benefits of your product or service, build credibility, aid navigation or interaction (for example, by "pointing" toward a call to action), or tell a story that helps the visitor understand the end value of your product or service. And whatever you do, steer clear of free or cheap stock imagery. Tell 'em What to Do The call to action is the most important part of your page. Yet a shocking number of sites play hideand-seek with their call-to-action buttons, making them "blend in" with the color scheme of the page or burying them so far down on the page that the likelihood of a visitor scrolling that far is nil. Wells Fargo Expands E-Signature Options Wells Fargo will be widening its acceptance of electronic signatures for mortgagerelated documents using DocuSign, a leader in digital transaction management. “The move by one of the nation’s leading mortgage investors demonstrates continued momentum of electronic signature acceptance among financial service providers,” DocuSign says in a statement. “We believe it’s inevitable that financial institutions will follow the lead of visionary organizations like Wells Fargo Funding and adopt electronic signature for every transaction that formerly required a pen and

paper signature,” says Ken Moyle, DocuSign’s chief legal officer. Wells Fargo’s move follows on the heels of the Federal Housing Administration’s announcement in January that it would allow electronic signatures on mortgage-related documents. Wells Fargo will begin to accept e-signatures on documents generated and signed prior to closing, including disclosures and loan documents. DocuSign says that e-signatures can expedite the processing of mortgage paperwork and “make real estate transactions easier, faster,

more convenient, and secure while minimizing paperwork, reducing errors, and assuring compliance with all applicable legal regulations.” “We are delighted that Wells Fargo Funding … is taking strong, positive steps on behalf of its vast ecosystem of brokers to accelerate transactions and keep business digital,” Moyle says. These freaky fluorescent critters are odd to say the least. In fact, many of us don't even eat the marshmallow-y snack. So what do you do with them? To celebrate this strange treat, here are a few of the

weird things you can do with your Peeps after you've downed all the jelly beans and feel crazy.

Baked Eggs in Hash Brown “Nests” (cups) • 6 to 8 medium russet potatoes • Salt and ground pepper • Cooking spray • 24 large eggs

Directions 1. 2.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bake the potatoes until tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Allow to cool, and then peel and grate them. Season well with salt and pepper. Spray two 12-hole muffin pans generously with cooking spray. Scoop 3 to 4 tablespoons of grated potato into each muffin hole. Use your fingers to gently press down the sides and bottom in each muffin hole to make a nest. Spray again with cooking spray. Then bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Watch and make sure they do not burn. them honestly. Sometimes a property they love is not in their best interest, and sometimes when they can’t see objectively, I try to put it all in perspective. It is not about the sale, it is about what is best for them. Q: Tell us about your favorite volunteer experience? A: My favorite volunteer experience is when I was in charge of the renovation of the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse. I have great satisfaction when I walk in and see the seats I designed, and see the chandeliers I ordered and the entire project from floor to ceiling. It took so much of my time and I can look at it all with many memories of planning and it is a great feeling to see it completed so beautifully. Q: What should we know about you?

This Week’s Featured Agent Dee Dee Sheffield ddshffld@aol.com Q: What do you like most about Brevard County? A: I love Brevard County for the wonderful natural resources we enjoy and the small town feel of Cocoa Beach. It reminds me of where I grew up in Hawaii in the 60’s. Q: What is your business philosophy? A: My business philosophy is to treat people how I wish to be treated and to always remember that this is a very important time for each person whether they are buying, selling or renting and to try to put myself in their place and advise

A: What should you know about me? I like to help people and projects, so with that motivation I am now running for public office as City Commissioner Seat #4 of Cocoa Beach. I currently serve on the planning board. I want to protect our natural resources and improve the aesthetics of Cocoa Beach. Many times my clients comment on how it appears and I would love to give our city better curb appeal! My husband Harry and I raised our children here and we are blessed to have such a great place to raise our family. Now that the kids are off on their own, it’s time to give back to the little city that gave us so many great memories! Vote for Dee Dee November 2014!
