P ROJE C T D E SC R I P T I O N City House is a historic preservation and adaptive reuse project located in the heart of Baltimore’s Mt. Vernon neighborhood. The original building was designed by Joseph Evans Sperry, a well-known Baltimore Architect, for William Marburg, the heir to a tobacco fortune. The project intent was to preserve and restore the ornate character of the original 16,000sf mansion, while providing the modern amenities required to create a functional and desirable multi-tenant office building. The construction phasing, budget, and historic tax-credit stipulations added additional complexity to the project.
