P ROJE C T D E SC R I P T I O N A charming late 19th century farmhouse in Northern Baltimore, SM+P was brought on to help expand the rear of the house to accommodate the growing family’s needs. The addition doubled the existing house from 2,600sf to 5,200sf creating a more open and functional family area, laundry/mudroom, and spacious eat-in kitchen. The addition also allowed for the expansion of the master bedroom and an additional two bedrooms. The exterior was designed to blend in with the existing house, while bringing in more light and exterior views of the expansive backyard. The project also extensively renovated the original portion of the house, and allowed a more seamless transition from the historic farmhouse to the new addition.
