P ROJE C T D E SC R I P T I O N SM+P was hired to design a new restaurant and bar on the ground floor of The Jordan, a new residential building in Baltimore’s historic Bolton Hill neighborhood. The design of the 2,100 SF space included a full kitchen, dining room, chef’s counter and a bar which fronts Eutaw Place Park. The material palette was carefully selected to give the space a timeless yet contemporary feel. Framed beadboard ceilings and custom millwork shelving walls define the three distinct dining spaces. A brass-clad suspended shelving system and handmade ceramic tile finish help to create separation but maintain visual connection to the chef’s counter and kitchen beyond. The white oak back bar shelving and bottle display is anchored by a custom antiqued mirror, reflecting the greenery of the adjacent park, helping to brighten the space.
