P ROJE C T D E SC R I P T I O N SM+P Architects was retained to spearhead the renovation of and addition to three historic buildings in a long-overlooked portion of downtown Baltimore. The three buildings, which have sat abandoned for over 15 years, require extensive demolition, shoring and abatement. Working with the Commission for Historic Architecture Preservation (CHAP), we were able to maintain the historic facades and create a respectful single-story addition to the central building. The project consists of first floor retail, shared building amenities, and sixty-three apartments, consisting of a mix of single and double units.
