P ROJE C T D E SC R I P T I O N Inspired by other SM+P projects, the owners of a local optometry practice hired our team to design a new flagship office and retail space in Severna Park, Maryland. By carefully considering the client experience and circulation, we were able to provide a space which creates a high end but personal experience for all patrons. The showroom area is defined by a central “carpet” of herringbone wood flooring and wood slat ceiling, and is bordered by additional display shelving and a children’s play area. The exam rooms are configured around a central lab, giving technicians easy access to all patient areas, while office, storage, and support spaces define the perimeter of the building.
