County Library customers are as thrilled as innovator, she takes classes at the Susyn Stecchi, who jumped right in on her 2016 New Year resolutions with one of Broward County Library’s newest and most eagerly-awaited free online resources: Rosetta Stone. As Susyn explains, “I am so glad Rosetta Stone was added to the library offerings! I have been wanting to become more fluent in Spanish and French to be better at my job, and Rosetta Stone was cost prohibitive.” Susyn is the Re-Use Outreach Water Conservation Coordinator for the City of Pompano Beach and runs a program that makes it possible for Pompano Beach residents to drastically slash their water bills. An ardent conservationist, it is no surprise that Susyn also protects the environment by using free online magazine subscriptions with Zinio Digital Newsstand and downloading free eAudio books with Hoopla and free music from Freegal. Always on the cutting edge, Susyn has an international reputation as a designer of dog parks, creating the first dog parks in Florida.

Creation Station, Main Library’s makerspace and gadget lab equipped with 3D printers. Susyn plans to design a cellphone case with handles that will serve as a tripod for taking photos. As a Certified Canine Therapeutic SUSYN STECCHI Massage Technician, she is also interested in the medical applications of 3D printers. “A lot of people have no idea how well BCL has kept up with the latest technologies,” notes Susyn. “Anything you could want to try or learn is right here. Woo hoo! Thank you, library!”
