Turkey’s health will be managed by informatics tools 32nd e-Government Roundtable meeting was held on June 23, in Ankara with the Ministry of Health. Ministry of Health Deputy Undersecretary Şuayip Birinci emphasized on the holistic health management system and stated that “Citizens should regulate their own health; the Ministry of Health should fulfill their responsibilities. We need to make sector a part of this job.” e-Pulse and that makes us happier. From this meeting; we expect the emergence of different projects for the future and qualified changes regarding the road map for the projects. As you know, we realized the Personal Health System project. We actually want to manage the health. As the Ministry of Health, our greatest tool in managing health is IT. We need to use IT tools accurately. We try to enable citizens, employees and field managers to manage the process easily in best conditionals and cost efficiently. We want the controller to be a strong element at this point. The best elements as controllers are the citizens. We wanted to do something that enables citizens to manage their own health and us to manage Turkey’s health. We do not want to deal with numerical statistics any more. We try to a force everyone in this country to be concerned about health as much as us as the health managers and aim at being healthy with developing

predictive models. Health is easy to manage; in fact the hard thing is really to provide adequate health care one need and eliminate the perception of abuse. The more transparent you get, the more abuse you prevent. Citizens should regulate their own health; Ministry of Health should fulfill their responsibilities. For this to happen, we shall trigger whatever is necessary in terms of software or hardware to manage the entire process. In the last 2 years in this regard, we realized e-Pulse, telemedicine and many other applications. We need to make all citizens to associate with this system, make them a part of it and include the industry. Our service capacity is quite good but we need to make the future processes sustainable and transform the system into a structure that can make its own self-check.” Health data has become more valuable than credit card data Stating that they take part in many projects; Erkan

sector with its contribution to the development of standards.” Açelya Cevher Özçelik from Palo Alto Networks said that “Health data has become more valuable than credit card data.
