Excitedly waiting for ICT 500 The ICT 500 Research determining Turkey’s top 500 ICT companies has been concluded. The results of the research with detailed content will be announced at a ceremony which will be held on July 28.

held on July 28. Our publication will include the detailed content of the research as well as the views of industry experts on the developments in Turkey, region and world market. Besides the Top 500 ICT Companies ranking, there will be a ranking of information technologies and communications companies in the publication, this year as well. In addition, approximately 60 charts and comments on hardware, software and services will give information on the development of the informatics sector to the

readers.” ICT Summit General Manager Neslihan Aksun gave the information that ICT 500 awards ceremony will be held on July 28, Thursday in CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel and all parties of the sectors are invited to this ceremony. She added: “The ceremony will be presented by one of Turkey’s valuable presenters Berrak Ataşen and also be a stage for many surprises. We made a number of innovations especially for the first 10 companies. The

35th Anniversary Awards started last year were highly appreciated and will be repeated this year. Turkish ICT sector seniors worked for more than 35 years in this sector will be with us at the ceremony and we will present our thanks to them on behalf of the industry.” The research is further enriched this year BThaber Corporate Group President Murat Göçe gave a statement on the ICT 500 Research and the results: “As the results of research confirms, there are two very

important factors that are missing in the ICT sector. The first one is the lack of qualified personnel which is confirmed by TÜBİSAD researches for many years. The second is statistical information. What I mean with statistical information is answers to questions as “How many companies there are?”, “Which one does what?”, “What salaries are offered in which positions?” and “What are the quality measurements of the jobs done?” Unfortunately, there are no answers to those questions right now. BTK and some NGOs are doing good work to help figuring out these matters, but these are still not enough. We are preparing ICT 500 for many years now as an effort to contribute those studies.” Our publication of the research results provides substantial benefits for institutions out of the sector, as well. This publication is used in the sense of a reference book by the institutional authorities. Not only ICT companies, foreign investors who want to invest in Turkey, managers of the corporations in the position of buyers and even commercial attaches are using this publication as a reference book. Our study has been enriched this year. We brought in a number of differences. We have made some changes in categories. In order to separate telecom and information technologies, we used to announce the top 10 list at the end not we will announce the top 5 from these categories.”
